Is anyone else interested to see what happens here.

They are going to announce the Oscars nominations around 1.30pm today. If you are interested you can livestream at Oscar.com, Oscars.org,

I am hoping for nominations for Demi Moore and Marianne Jean Baptiste in the best actress categories, and also hoping for a few other surprises.

They are catchy! I am glad I don't have to watch the Elton John documentary though.

I did like that song El Mal. It was catchy.

Although I wanted Like a Bird to win because I loved Sing Sing so much and wanted it to win SOMETHING.

The one about penis's and vagina's was less catchy! But funny!

That was hilarious. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

I think the outro music (Ai No Corrida) referenced the penis/vagina song.

The caterwauling was painful. Think I'll go to bed, it's been very boring so far, more so this year.

There's lots of tweets in Spanish bemoaning the Oscars Emilia Perez is getting, they do NOT like that film!

The documentary short is on uk Netflix.

So far 4 to see of the winners (both animation and both documentaries)

I do understand. But it's individual artists who have been honoured so far. All hell will be let loose if it receives Best Film, Director or Actress.

No Other Land is on the Channel 4 streaming thing - they change the name so often I can't keep track, but what used to be All4/4 on Demand

@Appaloniatbf it's about as Mexican as Omar Sharif was Russian. I guess things like that didn't used to matter, film being an art form and all, but now they do.

I would have issues with best actress for emillia Perez. Best actor, fine (though unlikely to ever be nominated in that) but not actress.

But that's a bit political for 2am.

Gosh, Conan is even tall compared to firefighters.

Even the firefighters in Hollywood are good actors.

I keep forgetting which categories the awards are being nominated for!

Sound in dune is random. Visual effects maybe but sound??
