I am not a big fan of horror films but I can tolerate them with a pillow and someone to hide behind.
I have a few movies I seriously cannot bring myself to even view the trailer of for fear of being scarred for life.
They are in no particular order.
Human Centipede
The shining
And scarface.

What about you guys?

Blair witch project. Child's play. The ring. Any saw films. Most horror, tbh!!

wonkylampshade · 30/05/2016 22:22

Ditto to the Human Centipede films.

Scarface and The Shining are great though!

Bellyrub1980 · 30/05/2016 22:23

Any of the saw movies.

Steven King's It

The Green Mile

Step Mom

Dizzybintess · 30/05/2016 22:23

Oooh it is bloody scary! That's a film I wish I had never seen

The shining is not very scary. Its also not very good so you arent missing anything.

TheoriginalLEM · 30/05/2016 22:26

wolf creek
texas chain saw massacre
godfather
lethal weapon Blush
The krays
platoon
full metal jacket

For me its not about gore and i lovea ghost story but excessive violence upsets me.

Dizzybintess · 30/05/2016 22:26

I may have to try and watch it then...😦

Now I love the movie full metal jacket I don't know why. It's very violet but the story is good.

Bambi. I'm not joking, when bambi's mum dies Sad

On a slightly different theme, I had to switch off the hills have eyes, it made me feel sick.

Dizzybintess · 30/05/2016 22:30

I am also a massive fan of the work of John Waters but the idea of watching Pink Flamingos really does not appeal to me.

Water ship down

7Days · 30/05/2016 22:32

There was one I heard of called a Serbian Film, it just sickens me even thinking of it. I wouldn't even google it tbh

Dizzybintess · 30/05/2016 22:33

Bambi is awful that film scarred me for life as a child.

I've read the synopsis for Sophie's Choice. No. Just no.

Same for Boy in the Striped Pyjamas Sad

LordTrash · 30/05/2016 22:34

I don't like the sound of Human Centipede or Serbian Film.

On a non-gross note, I don't think I'd ever be able to bear Sophie's Choice.

TheCricketWidow · 30/05/2016 22:34

Arachnophobia. I watched part of it when i was around 16, scared the shit out of me. The thought of watching it now brings me out in hives.

MakingJudySmile · 30/05/2016 22:35

Human Centipede and anything post 90s with Tom Cruise in

LeonardoAcropolis · 30/05/2016 22:35

Oh, and anything about football, yawn!

Only1scoop · 30/05/2016 22:35

Love the shining

I simply cannot watch the likes of

Saw

Hostel

fruityb · 30/05/2016 22:36

Hostel
Hostel 2
Clockwork orange
Hills have eyes or wrong turn movies
Wolf creek - I was woken up by the screams from this once having fallen asleep with the tv on and this was on late. Hideous.
Casino
Reservoir dogs

Have watched some of human centipede and it's just a bad horror film - it's gross but not scary. I can't watch anything that depicts suffering, rape or screaming. Can't handle it. Freaking love zombie movies however! Anything that's remotely realistic I can't cope with at all.

Haggisfish · 30/05/2016 22:40

I stupidly watched a bit of wolf creek with dh. Based on a true fucking story!!

redhat · 30/05/2016 22:42

Sophie's choice is harrowing (but very good). Its all the more harrowing if you don't know what its about when you watch it.

Littlelondoner · 30/05/2016 22:44

I love a good horror or gore film but at 28 years of age I still get heckles and freaked out by the scene in the kids film the witches (the road Dahl one) when they take off there faces. Vvvitches vemove your masks shudders

upwaysdown · 30/05/2016 22:45

Titanic

Dizzybintess · 30/05/2016 22:46

A couple of years ago my friend got us a pizza and hired a dvd called Freddie got fingered from blockbusters. It was a Tom Green movie. I only made it 15 mins into the movie. It was the worst film I have ever seen. So I could not bring myself to watch the rest of that!
