Scariest film you've seen?

Halloween always freaks me out but the one with that makes me jump the most is insidious

I've seen Annabelle and really can't understand what the fuss was? Anyone else feel it was a major let down?

Ring

Well that sticks out in my mind

i'm more scared of unseen things, so I really like the original The Haunting and lately have seen Borderlands which frightened the hell out of me!

Oooh, yes, The Ring was brilliant! Babadook is also really good.

I've never seen the ring I'll have to try it.
Ah just remembered one that kept me up for days! When the lights go out - for some reason it terrified me!

I don't think I saw 'The Ring', which I think is American, I saw the Japanese one, which I think is just called Ring.

The other horror that sticks in my head is also Japanese but I can't recall the name (think there's also an American version)

Hideous in every way.

Anything with Meg Ryan. Horrifying.

That one with the couple in bed and something keeps coming in the house and they set up a camcorder and there's footprints in the flour or something.

I'm hazy on the details as I watched 80% of it on fast forward as was so scared.

The Strangers shit me up for a long time and I refused to answer the door if I wasn't expecting someone. What happens in that film could happen to anyone

The Grudge. That's what the other one is called.

The Omen trilogy are my favourite horror films, but the scariest one I saw at the time was Blair Witch Project, mostly because I watched it on my own in the dark.

Insidious, although the sequels are getting silly.

It's creepy. Like, look over your shoulder creepy.

The Shinning.

Dark water (the Japanese version) is terrifying! I had to mostly watch through my fingers. In fact, all the Japanese horrors I've seen scare me silly.

Insidious is scary and the first Paranormal activity.

1402 (An unusual choice, but I found the ghost re-playing his own end and the protagonist being powerless to help really scary)

And agree about The Shining.

I saw the Fog when I was 11. Big mistake. Huge. I think watching it now brings back memories of being scared back then.

But what I can never watch again and shudder about 20 years later is an episode of X-Files called Home.

The Conjuring. Some really horrible moments in that. The woman on top of the wardrobe moment!
