What is the most overrated film you've ever seen? Can I suggest Her?

WTF was that about? It's taken me weeks to watch it. It was up for Oscars as well.

Lost in Translation. I left dh to it and went to bed. Sleeping is a much more productive use of my time than watching this crapSmile

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 04/01/2015 22:30

Totally agree with lost in translation, awful.

AwfulBeryl · 04/01/2015 22:32

I went to the cinema to watch lost in translation and walked out half way through, I just didn't get it.

Her was strange, I also found the sex scene really awkward. The only person who was shocked by it all as the ex wife, I know it's set in the future but still, surely people still judge in the future.
I think Frozen gets better the more often you watch it, I quite like it now I've seen it a 100 times.

jerryfudd · 04/01/2015 22:35

Wolf of wall Street. 2 and half hours too long.

ArgyMargy · 04/01/2015 22:35

Frozen
Gravity

CarbeDiem · 04/01/2015 22:48

Gladiator - I don't like Russell Crowe anyway but that's not it. I don't know, it just bores the life out of me.
It's one of Dh's best films and every time he's put it on I've fallen asleep. Every. Time. I have zero inclination to see it through to the end.

Oh I quite enjoyed Interstellar - the effects were fab but do agree slightly with a PP regarding the point.

Me and Dh jointly agreed to walk out of the cinema 20 minutes into Piranha - the biggest pile of shite ever.

I'm boycotting the Interview - Anything that's had this much of kerfuffle over it clearly isn't going to live up to the hype. Plus Seth Rogan has increasingly been getting on my tits for a while so I'm happy to never watch it.

Stoatystoat · 04/01/2015 22:55

I watched Her on a plane. Huge mistake. The bit with the cat Hmm

SnotandBothered · 04/01/2015 22:58

Inception. I win.

Mintyy · 04/01/2015 23:00

The Company of Wolves

wigglesrock · 04/01/2015 23:00

Magnolia, Lost in Translation, Gangs of New York. I found all of them just dull, overlong and less than the sum of their parts.

SnotandBothered · 04/01/2015 23:01

YYY To The Company of Wolves. Utter shite.

And the other Kevin Costner one with Navajo Indians in it. Fuck that for three hours.

lalalonglegs · 04/01/2015 23:02

L;Annee Derniere a Marienbad (agreed, you win overall, snot, but I clean up for most pretentious reference)

GahLinDah · 04/01/2015 23:03

Put down the trophy...The best worst film is yet to come - Fifty Shades of Shite.
The book was fucking awful, it's going to be dreadful, not even Jamie Dornan's pleasing face can save that turkey.

Dancergirl · 04/01/2015 23:04

Girl with the Pearl Earring. Two hours of nothing happening.

GahLinDah · 04/01/2015 23:05

Cold Mountain, I turned it off when she was playing the piano on the back of the horse and cart.

EachandEveryone · 04/01/2015 23:07

A lot of these films see to star Scarlett Johansson!

OP posts:
SnotandBothered · 04/01/2015 23:09

And Nicole Kidman - Australia, Cold Mountain - which brings me neatly to Kubrik-Cruise joy that was Eyes Wide Shut.

gaggiagirl · 04/01/2015 23:09

Lost in translation.....just....what?????

CaulkheadUpNorth · 04/01/2015 23:11

American Hustle. It was touch and go as to whether I could last the whole film in the cinema.

Lost in translation

burnishedsilver · 04/01/2015 23:12

LabelsMustFaceOut · 04/01/2015 23:13
