What is the most overrated film you've ever seen? Can I suggest Her?

WTF was that about? It's taken me weeks to watch it. It was up for Oscars as well.

Lost in Translation for all the reasons already stated and umpteen others!
There's Something About Mary, a friend told my friend and i to watch it, half an hour in we switched it off and pretended to friend we had seen it. We just didnt find it funny!
Slumdog Millionaire. Too violent for me.

Inbetweeners 2! Hunted it Down over new year paid a tenner for it in the asda at 2am, fucking load horse poo!!

so absolutely fucking boring I almost fell asleep in the cinema. which never happened before or since.

I have no idea why Benicio Del Toro (the Mexican Brad Pitt! ) got an Oscar for that
I don't even remember what it's about. pg Catherine Zeta Jones refusing to take drugs is a good scene, but the rest is just a dust cloud.

I loved 'Her'.

I did however think The Theory of Everything was the cheesiest thing I've seen in years. Cringerama.

Cast away. Watched it cinema felt like I'd spent years in there. Just so fucking boring. Everytime we thought it had ended there was another half hour of boringness. Sure the film should have ended 4 times by the time it did.

I may be very unpopular with this one but Dirty Dancing. Got 20 mins in. Never watched any further, don't intend to. BORING.

Twilight. Film even more crap than the book. New Moon I watched 30 mins of. Realised my life is more important. Not even turned any any of the others.

Dances with Wolves (that's the 3 hour Kevin Costner job with Indians in) saw 20 mins of it on a coach fell asleep. Since then I've seen the same 20 mins 4 times for various reasons. Still never managed any more than that.

I was so disappointed by The Imitation Game. They turned what should have been a gut-wrenching story of struggle and injustice into a poncy period drama. If you didn't know in advance you would have no clue that Turing was homosexual from BC's performance. The whole thing was so bloody anodyne, a real missed opportunity.

Why did everyone love it? Especially the sodding Academy Award judges?
