What is the most overrated film you've ever seen? Can I suggest Her?

WTF was that about? It's taken me weeks to watch it. It was up for Oscars as well.

I loved Blue Jasmine. My friends all hated it.

I can now add Birdman to this list. Total thesp wankery with intrusive jazz drumming.

I liked the drumming. No idea what else was going on though.

What's that other one that's just out? Isn't that about bloody drumming as well?

Independence Day - DH and I thought it was a spoof for the first half hour. When we realised it wasn't we felt cheated.

Titanic - dreadful film made all the worse by having gone to see it with a group of friends so didn't feel I could just get up and go.

Evita - as tedious as Titanic but without the added excitement of a shipwreck. Also seen with group of friends so similar lack of opportunity to bugger off early.

My poor old mam stayed up to watch a Silver Linings Playbook last night. She rang me this morning asking where the silver lining was? she said it was dire and Robert DeNiro isn't the mad he used to be! No mother, it's not 1972 anymore.

Watched Gone Girl last night & wished I hadn't bothered. Thought the book was good though.

The Hurt Locker. Two hours of a bloke wandering about dressed as a mattress. Couple of bombs diffused. Nowt else happens. And it won oscars??

What was that thing about the wine? Two unattractive men driving around going to wineries and whinging. Dry your eyes mate, the foxy bird from Candyman just got in a jacuzzi with you, willingly.

I've also seen Gigli but that was hilarious.

Mine are King fucking KLong and the LOTR endless-a-thon. Peter Jackson really needs to learn some brevity in his storytelling. Hours of my life I will never see again!

I actually clapped when the gorilla died as it meant I could drag DP out of that arse-numbing mince on the screen. (It was our first night out together post-pfb & he was determined we would stay out & enjoy ourselves - I do get to bring it up still as his bad film choice nearly 9 years on!)

Oh no, I loved her! I found it so intriguing! For me it was one I watched the other weekend, Birdman. There was such a fuss made about it but I thought it was absolutely rubbish. Nothing happened in it other basically 3 actors talking about their lives and how rubbish they all were. Really, really poor in my opinion.

It'd an is the worst film I've seen this year so far! Complete rubbish!

My friends didn't like it either.
