What's the worst film you ever manage to live through?

Currently have Sweeney Todd on.

OK so i might not manage to actually live through it which makes me subject title a bit misleading but I've succeeded in keeping it on for over 19 mins purely because I've so far been shocked ridged that a film the cast it has can be so so very awful.

Not sure awful even does it justice

It's taken me several days of watching this thread to finally remember The Clone Wars, animated movie which DD made me take her to for her birthday. Very poor, but actually not quite as bad as Attack of the Clones (something like that anyway - Star Wars Episode 2). Slightly crapper than the appalling Phantom Menace I think because teenaged Anakin is the most annoying character In The Universe.

Fast and the furious. Boring

Valentine's day (?) ..i can see they were trying to do something like a copy of Love Actually, however they failed so bad. Boring boring boring again

I did love Inception though.

Beyond The Clouds (Par-delà Les Nuages). With John Malkovich. The biggest pile of pretentious sweaty cinematic bollocks I have ever seen. Thank goodness we only paid £1. Avoid it like the plague.

Any war film. I dunno I just don't enjoy them, sometimes the inaccuracies make my blood boil, sometimes they're just too realistic!

Another vote for Mama Mia - I spent the entire film snorting every time Piers Morgan started singing, and thought my friends were doing the same - they weren't.

I watched an awful film with Uma Thurman where she dates her therapists son - a wasted two hours of my life.

Any of the Carry On films. DH loves them - they make me want to scratch my eyes out so I don't have to watch any more.

Piers Morgan on Mama mia....wow, hes done well on the back of britains got talent

all time worst interminable mega bore....TITANIC!

BootyMum · 10/01/2011 08:06

Legends of the fall - Brad Pitt over-acting and pouting like a girl yuck

Armageddon - played straight but obviously a comedy..?

Love Actually - pure unadulterated tripe, not remotely heartwarming, poignant or amusing apart from a couple of brief scenes with Emma Thompson and the rock star.

missmiss · 10/01/2011 08:27

I walked out of ^Around the World in 80 Days' starring Steve Coogan after fifteen minutes. Dross dross dross.

PocketMouse · 10/01/2011 08:32

The Men Who Stare At Goats.

Bloody terrible.

oh4goodnesssake · 10/01/2011 08:43

Oh no PocketMouse - I have just got that through from LoveFilm and was looking forward to watching it!

oh4goodnesssake · 10/01/2011 08:45

AI was that 6 hour thing with Robin Williams as a robot wasn't it? I watched it about 8 years ago and the memory haunts me - truly dire.

PocketMouse · 10/01/2011 08:54

oh4 - same here! I was quite looking forward to it... it irritated me with its badness

PuppyMonkey · 10/01/2011 09:09

Charlie's Angels.

NormaSknockers · 10/01/2011 09:10

oh4goodnesssake - AI is the one with the lad from Sixth Sense, the one with Robin Williams is Bicentinal Man (sp).

Eyes Wide Shut - what a load of bollocks.

Vanilla Sky was pretty grim too.

I've also never understood the hype that Die Hard gets, it's yawn worthy at best!

BerryLellow · 10/01/2011 09:19

About A Boy

What a waste of those moments of my life that was.

Jackin · 10/01/2011 09:22

Die hard is great! It's totally of its time.

aStarWithHerOwnWays · 10/01/2011 09:48

Die Hard is a stone cold classic.

Oh yes thanks, Bicentenial Man, that was it - what were they thinking! Recently went to see Cemetery Junction - that was depressingly bad too but at least it only wasted a couple of hours of my life.

He really is. Every time he's released a 'director's cut' of one of his decent films, he has ruined it by reinserting stuff that rightly ended up on the cutting room floor.
