I'm not sure I can stomach it. Am already very fed up with people saying that an adult woman reflecting in whether her 16 year old self could consent being an example of "regretful sex". I'm pretty much incandescent. There is nowhere that illustrates the patriarchy more than how sexual abuse of women is tolerated and enabled by all our culture, legal and social systems.

This book is about the sexism and blatant stereotyping she has endured in the world of both comedy and drama. There is also a four page feature with some of these experiences in this months Red.

Apparently a couple of day before the story dropped. Still rather telling...

I've also just seen a video where sloss was interviewed in America about 11 months ago and really pulls apart brand as far as he can legally go, "not a good man" etc. clearly knows an awful a lot and not happy about any of it.

The Times (story of our times) has a good podcast today where they talk more about the investigation. Apparently there were 14 women they were talking to at one point, but not all wanted to go ahead and be part of the story. Now the story is out, more women have come forward.
The BBC come out of this looking so shit.
