I know this isn't The Royal Family board. I'm not analysing Meghan as I don't know her and she will have no affect on my life. I have become interested in the press and public reaction to her as it feels misogynistic which obviously does affect me.

This is from Jeremy Clarkson today. I feel like is the dark she's and we're hunting witches again.

That’s vile. He is a complete misogynist though. It’s perverse actually, like he’s acting out some sick sexual fantasy.

It doesn't suprise me that he has sick fantasies about a beautiful young woman who doesn't make herself small and quiet being paraded naked, humiliated and assaulted. He always strikes me as exactly that kind of man.

I'm just suprised he's stupid enough to put it in print. But then he has a new series out in February so I guess it's perfect timing to raise his profile with his target audience.

To be fair, this has always been Jeremy’s writing / broadcasting style.

If you have read any of his newspaper articles on various cars over the years, watched any episodes of OG TopGear, or read any of his books, this is just how he is. This isn’t a new development for Meghan.

I have no interest in MM one way or the other but this vile, deranged, perverted attack on a woman is unacceptable. Suggesting she should be paraded naked while people throw s* at her? I don't care if it's "just his writing style" It's disgusting and inciting hate.

Read this today and couldn't believe it was allowed to be printed. Sure I know he's almost retelling the Lena heady scene from shameless but Meghan is a real person & his description of how much he hates her is vile.
I though piers was bad but this is another level.

Yes, he doesn't want her to loose her title or be banned from the country or any non mysoginistic "punishment" - he wants her, not Harry, her paraded naked. So he can throw shit at her. That's so fucking weird.

MM/H and children will need even more security now. It really is shameful, no matter what our opinions. He might be unwise, petulant and monetising his RF upbringing but this is hate bait. How can Camilla publicly endorse these men. How would she feel if it were her daughter.

I haven't read all the articles, and have purposefully avoided the M&H stuff because I feel they're basically just Instagram influencers... they only exist if you pay give them attention. So maybe someone can explain...

From what I've seen, I don't think it's her as a woman JC hates, but what she has influenced Harry to do and the repercussions on him and the royal family and England that JC disapproves of. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Harry was in line to be King. For many he was the favourite. He had the charisma, the personality and that slight edge to be interesting. Then comes Meghan and suddenly he abandons his family, his life, his country. He slags it off on a daily basis. He sells his story, his family's stories and his soul for hundreds of millions... basically profiteering on airing the royal's dirty laundry. The only common denominator is Meghan, who 'appears' to solely be interested in fame and attention, despite them both constantly saying they want to be left alone, despite all the evidence to the contrary.

That's just the impression I've gotten, I'll openly admit it has probably been influenced by propaganda, so if anyone has a different side or correct me, I'm open to the insight :).

@VioletLemon The lunch was hosted by Fortnum and Mason, had 200 guests and was held on Wednesday so before this disgusting article came out.
I know that JC has always been a dickhead but this is a new low even for him.

That's so extreme I would actually like to know what was Clarkson's intent behind writing it. Because I don't for one second believe he actually would like to see that happen, and I know he knows that such extreme writing will provoke a huge reaction.

So is this supposed to be satire? Is it a dig at Piers Morgan? Hmm. I think it's a commentary on the OTT dislike of Meghan. Perhaps.
