I know this isn't The Royal Family board. I'm not analysing Meghan as I don't know her and she will have no affect on my life. I have become interested in the press and public reaction to her as it feels misogynistic which obviously does affect me.
This is from Jeremy Clarkson today. I feel like is the dark she's and we're hunting witches again.
Meghan, though, is a different story. I hate her. Not like I hate Nicola Sturgeon or Rose West. I hate her on a cellular level. At night, I’m unable to sleep as I lie there, grinding my teeth and dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her. Everyone who’s my age thinks the same way.”

Also I think the article validates violence against women, I'm sure there people who feel more embolden to perform acts of violence against women following that article.
This was my first thought as well. Totally disgusting. I'm surprised it was allowed to be published.

Hopefully he has shot himself in the foot here and the tide will finally turn with people realising that blaming a woman for a situation caused by way more than just her is misogyny at its finest. And THIS is the outcome.
Men feel she is fair game and normal human rules dont apply when it comes to their views on women.

The 'celebrities' often don't agree to what's written about them and don't want you to read them either. The journalists get paid and want you to read them.
JC is a misogynistic asshat. His daughter has made a comment on her Insta stating she hates the bullying of M and H 'on a cellular level' a clear comment against JC.

I was thinking this. Obviously what he’s said is atrocious and disgusting and you feel for Meghan. But what he’s done to his own quite ill, pregnant daughter by making this statement and in turn forcing her to publicly come out against her dad in order to maintain her previous views is awful. And I bet he didn’t even consider that for a second

It's hideous. But he is voicing what (some other) men would like to say but don't.

He wrote this to wind everyone up - the public, his own kids, Twitter. He knew exactly what the reaction would be and this morning he will be revelling in the attention and publicity. What a sad life.
He has actually done Meghan and Harry a favour really. People like me, who generally come down on the side of disliking them the more they keep popping up and telling 'their truth truth', are now feeling a bit of sympathy for them again! Clarkson has just proved their point perfectly really.

I am absolutely not a fan or supporter of Megan Markle, but Clarkson’s comments here are totally unacceptable. I know he has form for being controversial and somewhat out of touch but nonetheless, I thought even he (here now in 2022) would have realised that those type of comments no longer get a pass.
With that said, I don’t think Clarkson particularly cares what people think of him so maybe it’s not that surprising that he will come out with those kinds of statements when he wants his name in headlines again. A friend of mine used to work on Top Gear as a driver and he was always adamant that Hammond and May were down to earth and lovely to the crew, but Clarkson was an absolute c**t.
