Johnny Depp has played a blinder

Johnny Depp’s legal team really have played an absolute blinder. He probably won’t win the case as defamation trials are nigh on impossible to win in the USA but he’s ruined her life and so that’s a win for him. I don’t think she’s necessarily an angel but a woman having a fairly brash/mouthy personality does not mean violent retaliation from the man is justified, nor does she deserve to be raped by the man. And no, I don’t believe Johnny in his 50s with his fame, money and power was frightened or intimidated by an early 20s Amber. He wanted a young, blonde accessory girlfriend, a ‘bangmaid’, so to speak. That’s why he describes her withholding drugs from him during active withdrawal (and it was said that this is the recommend way to help the addict during withdrawal) as ‘cruel’.

I know intelligent, switched on women who have completely fallen for the ‘Amber is Satan’ bandwagon. A relative’s wife who was a child protection social worker for decades in the USA, Kentucky, explicitly said on Facebook “I don’t believe her, she doesn’t act like the many abuse victims I’ve seen.” I was stunned. She also shared a post written by a man describing how Amber’s baby needs to be removed from her, Amber doesn’t deserve to be a mother, speculating that Amber probably physically abused her daughter etc. Also petitions to have Amber’s baby removed from her, which I think is absolutely vile. This is an actual living child, not a prop for entertainment.

I think Johnny knows exactly what he is doing. His laughing in court is vile, it reminds me of my abusive ex laughing and belittling me. Watching the laughing and his smug was actually very triggering for me, and the way Amber became anxious in response. He made a huge deal about being absolutely gutted about not getting to say a ‘proper’ goodbye to the Jack Sparrow character. Again, I’m not convinced. He’s trying to get people to see him as their favourite movie character in an attempt to get them to sympathise with him, I can’t believe people are falling for it. I personally won’t be having Pirates Of the Caribbean on in my home again.

They are as bad as each other. Toxic, liars. Just leave them be and let them get on with it. Nobody knows what really happened, probably not even them in their drug and alcohol fuelled states.

I think they’re both atrocious and that relationship is horribly toxic.

But I’ve been really shocked by how many people think she’s lying about rape.

I have no doubt you are right about him.

Just as I have no doubt about the general opinion about her.

The details are not really.of much interest. I just find it ineffably distasteful that they both choose to play this out in front of an audience, impinging on my life to sustain their narcissistic needs.

I suspect that last will be deleted. Seriously, prime example of lack of critical thinking and misogyny!

Perhaps it will, but I never understand why we have to believe her just because she's female. If I get deleted I get deleted I'm not particularly fussed. 🤷‍♀️

I agree they are both atrocious. But why should people believe he did rape her over him saying he didn't?

The whole thing should be put to bed. It should never have become the circus it has.

I don’t think they did both want it on tv, didn’t Amber Heard try to stop it?

@AllThingsServeTheBeam because it’s important to believe women who say that they’ve been raped. Have you seen how low the conviction rate is for rape?

Oh no not saying either of them wanted the attention it has got. I mean it should never have been allowed to happen regardless

I don't believe her either. She's a social climber with a personality disorder. She also punched her ex girlfriend.

I've known a couple of women like her before - the type that will pathologically lie to get to the top. It's very unsettling when you come across someone like this in real life. They can't be trusted.

Honestly they're both as bad as each other. Amber has form for abuse, physical abuse, in relationships. Personality disorders, childhood wounds and drugs do not mix well in relationships. She shouldn't have written an article claiming to be a victim of abuse, when she's also a perpetrator. It's not black or white in this case. It's damaged people continuing to damage each other. I believe about 10% of what comes out either of their mouths. She really shouldn't have written that article.

How do you prove they’re lying if you don’t believe them in the first place? How do you have a rape trial if nobody believes it happened?

Incidentally, do you know how low the number of false rape accusations is? It’s very, very low.

Just posted this on another thread

I think he's clearly abusive, the more I see of it the more I think that.

There are recordings of her saying she hit him 'I didn't punch you Johnny, I hit you' etc, another of him saying he walked away because things had started getting violent and another of her telling him that no one would believe he was a victim of domestic violence (after he lost the top of his finger) because he was a man.

This relationship was entirely toxic, one of them should have walked away long before. There is more evidence of her being violent than him from what I can see, but his attitude is entitled and he comes across as a prick. I'm amazed that anyone can be on anyone's 'side' when they're both totally deranged IMO.

You can be a victim of abuse and a perpetrator of it. Jonny Depp is both.

Amber Heard's testimony hasn't help her. Using movie quotes as part of her evidence, opening the door by mentioning Kate Moss, staring JD down whilst testifying.

@Pumperthepumper

Yeah, but it was her who put it out there with her article about abuse which implied Depp abused her (yes it was obvious and everyone knows) in the first place.
If she really didn’t want it to become a thing she could have walked off from the divorce with her huge cash settlement which was frankly undeserved and continued her high paying acting career and he could have gone his own way too (as he was until then). She really kicked this whole public aftermath off, she just wanted to keep it purely on her own terms and control the narrative.

Its hard to feel sorry for her especially as she is clearly violent, controlling and unhinged. Not to mention seeming really really annoying to be in a relationship with.

That’s what courts do. Or don’t. But not believing people who say they’ve been raped helps nobody.
