Some of you may have read my thread about my neighbours, I am feeling so drained and tired, DH is in deep depression and won't leave the house, I am trying to keep things as normal for the kids as possible, but they are wondering why daddy won't take them to school etc, I feel like I have been hit by a hammer, and can't do this much more, waiting for the comminutty policeofficer to phone me so I can get a letter so we can move as an emergnacy, the kids are fighting and screaming and I keep crying,

I am very timid normally, and hate talking to people I don't know, so all this has hit me hard. Yes two of my kids have cerebral palsy, and I am trying to keep them out of this, though DS knows something is going on with the neighbours, he is a very smart 7 year old. I just feel so crap.... I should have warned my mum that they did weights in the garden at night and told her not to say anything..... hen none of this would have happened.

tiffini · 18/05/2005 00:13

sparklymieow.

How did you get on at the doctors on Monday?

sparklymieow · 18/05/2005 00:14

I didn't get there, feel I need longer than an emergany appointment. Waiting to see if the police wll back us up and then go to the doctors.

OP posts:
tiffini · 18/05/2005 00:17

yes that is logical, the GPs are in too much of a hurry during open surgery. The police are'nt in a hurry to get back to you are they

Titania · 18/05/2005 00:17

nothing useful to say...just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you....x x

sparklymieow · 18/05/2005 00:18

oh good, hopefully that will get the ball rolling again. Hang in there, they cant expect anyone to live like that, something has to be done.

tiffini · 18/05/2005 00:20

Sparklymieow, I know this wont be relevant unless he does it again, but IIRC (started a thread about parking recently) it's actually illegal to park across a drive which has a car parked in it (though not illegal to block an empty drive).

If he blocks a car into your drive it may be worth logging it with the police, explaining that he is too aggressive for you to approach about moving it. At least from the council's POV it will be another incident logged.

I hope this whole thing improves for you soon.

Hiya sparkly, I know you want longer than the emergency appt with the GP, but take what you can get and let the GP, if necessary book an extended appt. (Unless you've got one literally in the next few days).

It won't take more than a minute to outline to him /her the situation - especially if you have a written list of incidents or your / dh's physical symptoms. Then you can both discuss the impact on your health, and how you might see this moving forward, and what kind fo 'supporting statements' / referrals / treatments might be available to your family.

I honestly think this would be better than waiting.

If you wanted input from other agencies (ie. police) before seeing GP, and you haven't got that yet, just make ANOTHER appt after it comes through ! BUT GET THERE ASAP !

I think you'll find groups like council / HA / police will react better to your complaints once you've got the GP's 'statement of impact'... medics hold a lot of sway in society !

sparklymieow · 18/05/2005 08:03

as it is today, DD1 and DD2 have chicken pox and we all have had a bad nights sleeps so am keeping DS off because he will only get sent home anyway, because tireness makes his CP worse. At least that gives me more time to sort out things with the GP and Police..

Use the time, sparkly. And apologies if I sounded harsh... just want to help give you the courage to get all your pieces lined up so you can play a good 'endgame' (chess speak).

sparklymieow · 18/05/2005 10:28

have been to the shop to get bread, milk and a few bits, but have done my main shopping online again. I broke down last night and said to DH that I coouldn't take anymore and I need his support. We had a good talk and he will willing to fight this if need be.

sparklymieow · 18/05/2005 13:55

yes quiet night, bit worried as the parents car hasn't been there for a few days, and think they may have gone away, worried things may get worse for a while.

[I can wish though] just did a quick run to Morrisons (that was scary, in case they were here when I got back) got some juice for the girls and some calpol, and a Dora the explorer DVD for the girls to watch I think they have got bored of hanging out here, as DH's mate said they were hanging out near him, so properally terrorarising (sp??sorry) another set of neighbours.... wankers......

OP posts:
almostanangel · 18/05/2005 15:13

i cant believe your living though this its awful.i was frightend of going into town as a teenager as i was bullied at school ,cant imagine putting up with it now this is your life not a rehersal..have you tried being ulta polite ,,example ,,excuse me could you possibly move your car, lovely day isnt it what you got planned ?might shock them as they thrive on upseting you so if you dont look scared/upset you will be boring for them.

sparklymieow · 18/05/2005 15:16

don't even want to breath the same air as them let alone talk to them....... my mum asked them politely to be quiet and all this kicks off, she even said sorry and he didn't want to know.
