Hi @purpleme12

I'm afraid I can't be on here for long but I didn't want to leave you.

How are you doing?

Mumofoneson5 · 11/01/2023 00:03

Sending ❤️ you’re not alone, there’s people who love you more than you know.

purpleme12 · 11/01/2023 00:03

I rang Samaritans. Was so down
I didn't know who else to call.
A bit calmer.
So alone.

SkalengeckOrSiegbarste · 11/01/2023 00:07

Did the Samaritans call help at all?

Mumofoneson5 · 11/01/2023 00:08

Is there anyone you can call? I know it’s late, but things might seem brighter in the morning.

purpleme12 · 11/01/2023 00:08

A bit. A bit calmer. I didn't have anyone to listen and hear me. It hurts

I'm hear too, and understand how hard mental health can be. It's like an invisible illness.

Have you tried grounding, breathing exercises? Flowers

LemonSwan · 11/01/2023 00:12

We are here. You are not alone. If you want to talk we will listen 💐

Battlecat98 · 11/01/2023 00:13

Hi I am up, also having a tough time with my MH. Is there anything you want to talk about? You are not alone. I just had a WhatsApp with my friend, it was so nice to hear about her experience.

shieldmaiden7 · 11/01/2023 00:13

I can't be on for long but I hear you and I see you, you are not alone and you are more powerful than you think Flowers

cjh1969 · 11/01/2023 00:14

Has something triggered this episode, or is it just a general feeling of hopelessness?

RogersOrganismicProcess · 11/01/2023 00:16

Sending you a handhold. Have you felt like this before? If so was there anything you found useful then?

SouperNoodle · 11/01/2023 00:16

Sending you a hug op! Has anything happened to make you feel so low?

purpleme12 · 11/01/2023 00:20

I feel like I've failed.
It's just me and my child. My ex hates me won't communicate. My mum doesn't really like me. My child is sad we're not together even though it's all she remembers. And I should be able to provide her with that. I feel so lonely

I’m here too, you’re never truly alone. We all care and want to listen to you. Have you got any music that calms you? A podcast? Can you watch a tv show that might distract you, something light hearted?

purpleme12 · 11/01/2023 00:20

Thank you. I had to get in bed. With my cat

Lindtcat · 11/01/2023 00:21

Here for you OP. Im also feeling low today. Anything happened that's set it off for you ? I suffer with bad anxiety/depression and currently in the thick of it right now.

Battlecat98 · 11/01/2023 00:22

Ah cats are the best. Sounds complicated though. Have you always had a tricky relationship with your mum? How old is your dd?

I don’t see any failure there. You’re clearly a loving mum, your ex’s behaviour is not your responsibly and is out of your control.

Lots of people don’t have good relationships with their parents (me included) and lots of people are very complicated and for whatever reason aren’t able to function properly in healthy relationships , including mothers (yours, not you). It really doesn’t have to be a reflection on you as a person.

your child may well be sad but you sound like you’re doing your best for them and not being with your ex sounds like the best decision as their mum.

Happybefree · 11/01/2023 00:24

I may have to go to sleep now as early start but may help to chat about other things temporarily to distract your mind? Eg your cat, favourite place, favourite food, anything really… it helps for me anyway.

Amiable · 11/01/2023 00:25

Hi purple,
You have not failed. You are raising a child on your own, which is never easy in the best of circumstances.

I hope you can get a good night's sleep. Things do tend to feel better in the light of day.

Are you on ADs, or getting other support?

Lindtcat · 11/01/2023 00:26

I like cats ? Can you tell ? Pretty jealous as mine won't cuddle with me in bed. All she wants is food Envy Well, I also don't have any communication with my ex and neither does my daughter ( his choice) but I know how you feel. That feeling of wanting the best for your child. But im sure you've done all you can and all your child needs is your best. You can't control anyone's actions . I know it's hard right now but as your child gets older, they will see that.

I have but there's been a few incidents lately.
She told my child I was nasty.
It's hurting me more.

She's 9

No I've been carrying on. It's been harder. I don't know what to do. Too scared
