Hi everyone, it seems we have reached 1000 posts on our original thread which is amazing, just shows how much support we have been able to give each other.

I thought we would benefit from part two!

@tmh88 wow you got your results so fast. Sorry you’re in a panic too hun, it’s such a rubbish feeling. Yes in 5 months you will definitely have seen significant growth from what I’ve read, like you say though you know this too, the anxiety is just so strong. Wish we could rid it of all it’s power! Stay strong hun and sending you a big cuddle back xx

tmh88 · 02/02/2021 10:06

@MrsWhites my period was really late this month, by about 3 weeks! I was stressed at the time but I think what you are describing is normal, sometimes I’m heavy, sometimes light, sometimes they last 3 days sometimes 7 haha!

@Goolies yes you can imagine my panic when I got the text within about 15 hours of having the scan Blush I know logically too they would of grown in 5 months.. but it is an irrational fear! I tried to do my breathing exercise this morning when I started but it didn’t take the edge off this morning Blush I wish I had a proper cure for us all! My DP is very laid back too so he try’s his best but doesn’t really understand it! When I was waiting for my scan I didn’t have sex either, as soon as I got DS to bed I went to bed too I was exhausted from the worry and to be quite honest I wanted the day to end each day up until my scan, sleep it off until I had to face it again the next morning I completely get it xx

Whenever a new thread gets created will someone tag me Flowers

ofwarren · 02/02/2021 11:26

Someone please talk me down.
Just had my Pfizer and I'm terrified.
Doing the ten minutes wait and I'm so frightened of every twinge 😭
So unbelievably scared

MrsTeachers · 02/02/2021 11:35

Please can I join this thread.

I had an ECG last week, which I fully expected to be normal, except it came back with an abnormality. I am now waiting for Echo, CT and MRI scan and from chest X-ray they discovered I have Scoliosis. I'm a wreck. Not ate and slept since I found out and can't stop crying. I should have never googled. I already have anxiety but this is a whole new level.

Thanks to everyone struggling.

MrsTeachers · 02/02/2021 11:36

I had mine a couple of weeks ago and I was the same. I was thinking why have I had this and done it to myself. 4 weeks later I am fine, just try not to think about it (I know it's hard)

ofwarren · 02/02/2021 11:46

Thanks @MrsTeachers
I think the fact that you have to look out for side effects afterwards really made me anxious.
I had to get a taxi home and it's only round the corner. I'm a wobbly, shaky mess

tmh88 · 02/02/2021 12:01

@ofwarren unfortunately I haven’t had the jab but I’m sure you will be ok Flowers sorry I couldn’t help more!

@MrsTeachers I have scoliosis, what about it is worrying you? Flowers or is it the abnormality worrying you most? Hope you are ok! It is scary when things like this happen x

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 02/02/2021 12:06

Hi ladies

Just checking in to say I hope you're all doing well - got a lot on my plate at the minute so I do apologise I haven't been about and have missed anything. If anyone's having a hard time lately I'm sending lots of strength

WitchSharkadder · 02/02/2021 12:58

Hi all. I'm another one who had a bad night. Every time I start to nod off to sleep I get the sinking feeling inside and feel like I can't breathe which jolts me awake. It's happened before when I've had very anxious periods but usually 3/4 times and then I nod off. The last week or so it's been getting much worse, happening 20+times until I'm too scared to close my eyes. I'm just exhausted and need to work/study/home-school during the day and I have no energy.

I just want this heart monitoring over with but no idea when it will be. I know the NHS is incredibly busy and that they're doing their best but the wait is excruciating for someone with HA.

Hope everyone is having a good, non-pokey day today.

TheSilentStars · 02/02/2021 13:29

My smear results were sent through at 10.30 on a Monday night. I was almost hysterical. Also because the doctor had said it would be about 3 weeks and it was 9 days. And because she sent me the whole sheet so all the CIN words were there so at first glance I thought I'd got everything. Then read it and realized it needed an X next to the Terrible Thing.

Hope everyone has a better afternoon Flowers

@ofwarren, how are you now?

ofwarren · 02/02/2021 13:31

@TheSilentStars I'm better but haven't moved from lying on the floor at home. I'm scared I'll feel dizzy if I get up. Dizzyness is one of my anxiety triggers so it will just spiral.

MrsTeachers · 02/02/2021 13:33

Thanks for replying @tmh88. If you don't mind me asking what kind of scoliosis do you have and does it bother you, has it ever caused you any problems?
I'm just a wreck after learning I had it and noticed my back aching today, I don't know if it's just my imagination though now that I know. I'm just thinking the worse that it's making my heart beat faster and I might need surgery Sad I've not even had apportionment with hospital yet so it's just me thinking it xx

KasparKat · 02/02/2021 13:38

Today I'm having a panic about having a tight chest. And of course that makes me chest feel even tighter! I've had it on and off since I (think I) had covid last year. I'm now thinking I am being irresponsible for not telling the GP but on the other hand I really don't want to put a whole load of tests/appointments in motion when it's probably anxiety. Argh.

I have an oximeter and my sats are 99%.

KasparKat · 02/02/2021 13:41

@ofwarren would it help to focus on the fact that if you do have any side effects that is a positive sign as it means your body is busy making the antibodies against covid? So flipping it on its head and thinking that side effects are a good thing, not a bad thing?

ofwarren · 02/02/2021 13:41

@KasparKat I hate that so much. Just makes you panic more doesn't it.
I get it with acid reflux too.
Your sats are perfect though, so I'm sure it's just the anxiety

ofwarren · 02/02/2021 13:43

@KasparKat I cross posted with you then.
I worried more because one of the questions was about clotting disorders and I have one. The nurse had to query with the doctor before giving it to me. My heart just sank

KasparKat · 02/02/2021 13:47

Can you reframe that as "the doctor has double checked that it is safe for me to have the vaccine in terms of my condition"?

It could also be reflux as I have diagnosed LPR. Will take some gaviscon advance and see if there is any improvement.

For now I am telling myself that I will wait a week and if I still have a tight chest I will make a GP appointment. Still panicking though!

tmh88 · 02/02/2021 13:48

@MrsTeachers I’ve had it that I knew of medically for at least 10 years, it’s lower back significant enough I couldn’t have a spinal/epidural however I would find it unlikely you will need surgery if they have only just noticed they tend to only do surgery when it’s noticeable the curve and causing severe discomfort, I do suffer with back ache/shoulder ache but it’s easily sorted with paracetamol and not everyday, I’m unsure if part of my back is also from when my stomach muscles came apart when pregnant! I don’t think you’ll need surgery for it, are they having you in to look at it closer?

I did recently go to docs for back ache but they have said to remain with pain relief when I get a flare up as the only other option than physio and meds is surgery! Hope this helps Flowers

tmh88 · 02/02/2021 13:49

@MrsTeachers when I stand in a mirror my shoulders are uneven, as in ones higher than the other x

tmh88 · 02/02/2021 13:53

@ofwarren @KasparKat I have reflux lately but without any pain! Just always coughing up this thick clear/bubbly liquid in a morning and it makes me need to clear my throat often Blush it does panic me a little bit but fairly certain now it’s acid x

ofwarren · 02/02/2021 13:57

@tmh88 My acid causes sleep apnoea so I wake up gulping for breath.
You should try a PPI medicine to see if it improves.

tmh88 · 02/02/2021 14:01

@ofwarren can you buy them over the counter? I have tried gaviscon but it isn’t really doing much x

MrsTeachers · 02/02/2021 14:01

@tmh88 thank you so much that has really helped. I've had two pregnancies and it has never been picked up until this week at 33 years of ago so suppose that's a good thing that it's never caused any problems. I think the scans are just to see how "curved" it is but it's not causing any problems apart from anxiety! Thanks so much for your message it really has made me feel better, it's good to speak to someone who actually has it xxThanks

ofwarren · 02/02/2021 14:03

@tmh88 you can get omeprasole over the counter. It's Wesker than what you get from the doctor, but better than gaviscon.
It's called Nexium
