Hi everyone, it seems we have reached 1000 posts on our original thread which is amazing, just shows how much support we have been able to give each other.

I thought we would benefit from part two!

@chorusline79 I know it’s really draining isn’t it! I panic and turn channels off if it’s like Macmillan or cancer research etc! I’m doing well at the minute not googling but I have a long way to go still x

Skyliner001 · 30/01/2021 13:25

@chorusline79 Yes I get them sometimes, inside of mouth and inside lips!

Skyliner001 · 30/01/2021 13:25
@Skyliner001 I’ve got lumps in my lower stomach! They did cause me panic at first but had them since around about the time I had DS so put it down to that I have quite loose skin etc on my stomach!
There's a lot of muscle going on down there 😊

tmh88 · 30/01/2021 14:20

@Skyliner001 I never know what’s what in my stomach, muscles came apart when I was pregnant so never really know what I’m feeling anymore Blush there not as bad now as they were straight after birth about 1 1/2 finger gap!

MrsWhites · 30/01/2021 14:45

@chorusline79 you have probably bitten your mouth in your sleep or eaten something that has aggravated your gum, like pineapple or something acidic. A few weeks ago I kept getting swollen lips and lots of sore red patches in my mouth, turns out it was a sensitive toothpaste I was using. If not it could be a little mucus cyst, they are very common in the mouth, very easy to get a small scratch and some bacteria to get in.

@tmh88 couldn’t agree more!!

@Skyliner001 mornings are worse for me too, especially when I stay in bed after waking up. I find getting up and haven’t a coffee or just moving around is much better for me than lazing in bed!

@MrsWhites @tmh88 @Skyliner001 Thankyou all so much for responding and calming me down! I lost it for a bit but feeling more rational now.

WitchSharkadder · 30/01/2021 15:14

Hey all. So I had my cardiology appt this morning and I'm still anxious. Doctor has booked me on for a 48 hours heart trace but stressed he was only doing that to be absolutely certain and mostly to reassure me.

But I'm not at all reassured. I usually feel a lot better initially after seeing a medical professional but I just feel awful since getting home. My face feels weird and my hand is tingly and my fingers are itching to google. HA can just do one today.

WitchSharkadder · 30/01/2021 15:15

@chorusline79 I'm sure the blister is something completely innocent. Like pp said, you've probably bitten your mouth in your sleep or burned it in something you've eaten and not remembered. I hope you're feeling calmer now.

Skyliner001 · 30/01/2021 17:50

Hello loves! 😊 How are you all doing? In the interest of honesty I have had about five lapses but not a bad day in all.

Skyliner001 · 30/01/2021 17:51

@WitchSharkadder Sorry you feel so bad. It's because it's your brain doing it and not letting you rest about it. Hope you feel better.

chorusline79 · 30/01/2021 18:24

Hi @WitchSharkadder hope you're ok. Totally agree with @Skyliner001 that your mind is playing tricks on you, hope you can get some peace from it

@Skyliner001 that sounds positive ( I think!) have any lapses involved poking?! I went to meet my friend for walk and whilst out with her I didn't think once about my health. I'm home and opened a beer and determined to chill this eve. Was hoping the CBD oil would have arrived but no sign of it yet!

Hope everyone else is ok and having good weekends

WitchSharkadder · 30/01/2021 18:32

Thank you all. I know it's my brain, I just want a break from it. I've tried to read and chill out this afternoon and feel a bit better now.

Glad you had a good walk @chorusline79

MrsWhites · 30/01/2021 18:46

Evening everyone. I’ve had a good day, no poking but only because I’ve stayed busy, baked a cake and stayed downstairs with husband and kids...I’m at my worst if I’m on my own.

@WitchSharkadder sorry you are having a bad day. I think the anxiety of the 48hr trace is probably causing your symptoms. I get very anxious at the thought of any sort of medical appointment. Hope you are feeling better now.

Hi everyone! I’ve had one poke today but I didn’t actually realise I was doing it till I was! So hadn’t actually thought to poke!

Just out of interest @MrsWhites when you said couldn’t agree more did you stomach muscles come apart too? If so do you find it gives you lower back ache sometimes? I did see a physio after I gave birth due to the size of DS and they told me to do pelvic floor exercises and plank daily... think I only kept it up a couple of weeks Blush

TheSilentStars · 30/01/2021 21:03

Evening lovelies. You've all been very chatty ! I've had two or three non proddy days as I've been mad busy with end of term class meetings every afternoon, proving that if my head is full of other stuff there's no room for lump stuff. Hmm
Gallbladder and digestion playing up today though (pasta carbonara probably) so of course I'm on the bowel cancer Google now. Sigh.
My stomach is very lumpy. I think the sort of knobbly globules I can feel are realistically fat or poo (nice!) But that never stops a worst case Google.
@WitchSharkadder, hope you're feeling more relaxed this evening.

tmh88 · 31/01/2021 09:34

Morning everyone, might not be on much today but just came on to wish everyone luck with not poking! Just had a bath and actually enjoyed it no prodding at all!

onlyreadingneverposting8 · 31/01/2021 09:39

Morning everyone! Trying to keep anxiety in check! Does anyone sometimes have the thought of "right, well if I die I die - I can't be bothered anymore!" I do, although it's very quickly replaced usually!

Yes! 😱
MrsWhites · 31/01/2021 10:11

I wrote a post last night but must not have pressed post 😡

@tmh88 no sorry I meant I agree with you about supporting each other and always having power over our own thoughts. I don’t have stomach muscle separation but as I said in other posts I do have a prolapse which I think is getting worse so I need to up my game in terms of pelvic floor exercises. I downloaded the nhs Squeezy app recently. If you need to do pelvic floor exercises I would recommend it!

Goolies · 31/01/2021 10:22

@tmh88 @MrsWhites well done you! That’s a huge accomplishment! I wish I could say the same, I did end up prodding about 3 times and fell into a spiral of doom and gloom thoughts about my chest X-ray ray.

Snapped out of it though without having to go to sleep which is better than normal :)

@onlyreadingneverposting8 yes I do!!! Sometimes I think right what’s the worst case scenario, I die, then what, my hubby will meet someone’s else, son will grow up and hopefully have wonderful memories of me. Sometimes I even think in 100 years there will be just about no one around that is here today so what’s the bid deal... but like you say it’s a fleeting thought that comes and goes literally within 30 seconds and then it’s back to my normal thought patterns.

Skyliner001 · 31/01/2021 11:07

Morning ladies, I wish I could say that I had a non-ocd morning, but I've been on both Google, and examining. But I'm going to get up and at them now…

I just wondered how many of us here suffer with really extreme breast anxiety, almost like we feel we are destined to get breast cancer.

It's almost like I feel as a woman my breasts Are like a ticking time bomb. I just wondered how much we all feel so stressed about breasts? It feels like they are a major focus of health anxiety, along with lymph nodes. They tend to be the thing I always come back to.

Plus when you actually get familiar with them they are such lumpy, cysty Ridgey , bumpy, confusing things anyway. I didn't pay that much attention until my cyst.

Anyway just ranting, wondering how normal this breast anxiety was.

onlyreadingneverposting8 · 31/01/2021 11:27

@Skyliner001 not so much with my boobs but I do feel like the way you hear doctors speak in the media and the media in general that I'm destined to get some cancer or other, which leads me (and lots of other imo) to become hyper vigilant and have health anxiety.

chorusline79 · 31/01/2021 11:40

Hey everyone, hope all ok. What a miserable weekend! My DH made us go out for a walk as he said he was fed up with hearing about my health problems this am. I do feel bad as it must be very boring to hear me drone on about it!

@Skyliner001 yes I completely agree. My mum had a double mastectomy as had previously cancerous cells, and her mother and aunt both died from breast cancer so I feel it's very likely I will get it. I'm 40 next month and am thinking about a private mammogram - has anyone done this?

Skyliner001 · 31/01/2021 13:00

Hope your mum is doing well now @chorusline79 that must've been so scary for her!

I can't get the cyst, if that's what it is, below my right nipple out of my head today, I've poked it and pushed it around and squashed it.I haven't had that breast scanned, but I did go to the GP with it, and she said she wasn't worried at all.

It's weird how often it doesn't bother me, and I'm on a lymph-node or something else. But at the moment it's all about that.

Skyliner001 · 31/01/2021 13:00

You can tell that my know poking weekend is going well…🙄
