Ewww yuk- sinus infections are bloody horrid, poor you bear. Night nurse is fab stuff, glad you had some available.

You're ringing a bell in my little brain, dangermouse, ours was wired into a special heavy duty socket when we had our extension (5 years ago). I'm guessing cos it draws so much power that if one plugs it into a normal socket then it'll blow fuses left, right & centre.

Seeing as there have been so many posts in favour of exercise (my auto-word-suggest thingy tried to get me to type Absinthe instead of exercise!!) I have promised myself that I'll do some light stretching this morning. (It was recommended to me by a physio as a way of reducing neuropathic pain so hopefully it will work.) Once I've had this cuppa anyway....

Morning/afternoon everyone,

Finally fell back to sleep for a descent stretch! Still feeling a bit groggy. DH wide awake and wants a hand servicing the brakes on his car. (He finds working on the car theraputic when he's not well) sending him out to get parts whilst I come round.

bear hope you feel better soon Flowers

salted hope the exercise helps

You two sound like a great team, carer! Enjoy your mucky afternoon together Wink
Yes, it did actually, I felt quite positive after Smile
Am going to brave the local shopping centre for an hour this afternoon with DD(9) & DSD(21) to support me. Will let you know what happens - I can face my fear!

Meanwhile -
Latex Latex, give us an answer do,
We're half crazy
All for the love of you!
We don't need a stylish answer
An "I'm OK" will do
But you'll look sweet
Out here where we meet
Cos we are Wrist's Bitches too!

salted love the poem latex hope you are ok

salted think we are a good team however DH came home in a right state cos traffic was bad and not been given right parts so having to go back out. Can't deal with it at the moment can feel him reaching for support I just haven't got the energy to give. Going to get a shower and try to get myself in a better place before he gets back again.

What a bummer abt the parts & traffic Haloween Sad I think you're doing the right thing to other go & to make time for a little self-care; it's all too easy to forget about that in tough times.
Maybe you could try some mindful breathing too? You know - in for 3 & out for 6, trying to clear your mind, relaxing & just listening passicely to the background sounds around you. Let your thoughts come & go but don't concentrate on them. Try it for 10 or 15 breaths and see if you feel calmer.
It often works for me Flowers

I've just got back from a small trip to the shops for a Christmas present and some wrapping paper! It went fairly well, Tornado boy sat nicely most of the time in his pushchair, and we got everything done that needed to be done. Now we're about to head to my mother in law for food and fireworks in her town :)

Latex Hope you're okay - Ikea is a great place to get lost! Wink

purple glad your shopping trip went well. I couldn't face the supermarket today, but managed a walk to the corner shop and get some essentials. Found I was a bit disorientated, but managed to get a whole meal and some other essentials Smile felt like am achievement. Not started thinking about Christmas shopping yet.

salted glad you did some exercise.

I went for a run in the drizzle which I really, really, really didn't want to do, but going through a wood with all the bright autumn colours made up for it. And witnessing the comedy of farmers trying to get recalcitrant cows and calves from one field to another "Don't look at the cows Ma!! DON'T LOOK AT 'EM!!!"

Well done for booking the classes anxious

Watched strictly and had to rewind Ed Balls and watch him again!

Glad people are having relatively good evenings :) We just got in from fireworks and bonfire night. My little one liked the fireworks for about 5 minutes then hid in his dad's neck for the rest of the time! Now I have a cup of tea :)

Good to hear from you Latex, hope you have a nice break!

dangermouse glad you enjoyed your run, the autumn colours on our walk yesterday were struggling too. DH is suggesting a bike ride tommorrow if weather is ok.

purple glad you enjoyed fireworks even if your little one found it a bit much.

Aren't little kids funny?! Especially after parents go to all that trouble to get them there, all wrapped up & cosy against the chill. I'm sure Tornado-boy will thank you when he's older, Purple Grin

We'll done Dangermouse. I bow at your muddy-trainered feet!
We watched Ed Balls with a strange mixture of admiration & horror. I think it'll be him & Anastasia in the dance off - & hopefully he will go, certainly he should, given the standard of the others now.
Oh Drama, you are so motivated, so much in touch with what your mind & body need, I am honestly impressed with the way that you hold everything together.

Latex, Grinchy, Bear, Namechanger and anyone else who is here - take care of yourselves & sleep well xx

If the weather holds thinking of going for a bike ride with DH. And he says he will come to the supermarket with me. Then going to visit his grandparents later on.

Good morning!
Not a clue what we are doing today, but it's guaranteed that DD9 won't want to get ready for school tomorrow after having this week off! It will be fun / interesting trying to find all her PE kit, I've not got a clue where her tshirt is. In an ideal world I'd get her to blitz her room, there is so much in there that she can pass on to someone else (there must be, it's so messy & full!)
What exciting stuff for you all to read about on a Sunday morning Grin
Enjoy your bike ride, carer with all the beauty of nature around you.
