Hi salted sounds exciting. Agree with you about the price though. Have you tried going to charity shops, especially in posh areas, you can get some great stuff cheap.

I haven't got a Scooby...
It was started by Wristboundlatexbitch. It is a safe place for everyone.

??....to bitch about stuff when you feel low and not be judged like you risk in AIBU.

It has no serious meaning really, namechange & bear, just some silliness based on the thread starter - although obviously we adore her for creating this safe & friendly place, being bitchy in any way is totally optional. The other name considered was CAKE but that sounded a bit too GBBO & shouty (plus reminded us we could / should have some, & frankly with some of the meds we are on, we don't need encouraging!).
Whatever it's called, you are amongst friends here SmileBrewFlowers
Latex may spare you some Wine too if you're lucky.

Hi namechange welcolme

wristboundlatexbitch started the thread as a safe supportive place think shes derived the name from her own for her "bitches" e.g. us. Am very greatful to her as I was having a particularly bad night.

I'm not well either PTSD :-(

And lordy no, there are no judgey pants allowed in here - we are all accepting of each others many weird & wonderful ways!

Leave your judgy pants at the door! Can that be rule no 1?!
Sod it. I'm not keen on rules.
Thread was started as a few of us got chatting about lack of sleep and MH issues. Friendly place for me when I can't sleep so far! Flowers

Last time we heard from Latex she was checking her bank balance prior to Christmas shopping.
Latex are you still out there, surrounded by carrier bags & tinsel? Or are you home?? Or - & I may get jealous here - out with 3-dimensional friends who can actually buy you a drink IRL?!?

AnxiousCarer · 28/10/2016 23:20

Hmm, hadn't thought of that, namechange though it is something a lot of us struggle with.

Yes latex we are missing you hope you've had a sucessful shoping trip. I desperately need to go food shopping but not feeling up to facing it. DH says he will come with me tomorrow, but that could be more stressful, he's not a good shopper!

Can we speculate on where she is? I reason she went to IKEA to check out the really cool but very random Christmas decor and can't get out...

I got my cooker btw then discovered that I did not order the one with plug but the one that needs an electrician to fit it. Sad

Report
saltededamummy · 29/10/2016 00:02

Oh no Grinchy!
Do you know an electrician who can help? It's quite a major thing to fit so please don't rake any risks having it wired in. And what are you doing for food until this is finished?

Love the IKEA idea Grinchy. Please don't let that have been her fate, oh God of MNers.

Falling asleep here , love to all x

Hi grinchy lol Grin for IKEA, I'm going for either searching for car in multi story, or lost in a one way system as those would be what happened to me! Worked and/or lived in my current town for 12 years and not quite mastered the ring road yet Blush

Rubish about the cooker, hope you can get it sorted soon! Can it only be wired in or can a plug be put on it?

Morning Carer, bad luck on waking so early, hope you didn't get up to do chores (well it's sometimes tempting isn't it?) and are still having a lie-in with DH.
Still no sign of lovely Latex but I'm sure she'll join us when she's escaped from Ikea.

Good morning to everyone else too! Grinchy & Bear, Klaptout, Pink & Purple, Wolfie & Dangermouse, Namechange and anyone else up thread who I've accidentally missed off
I hope you all got some restorative sleep & are able to plan in some fun for this weekend - if you have nothing that you are going to really enjoy then you'd better get your thinking heads on!!
Meanwhile I'm about to make myself a cuppa so here's one for you, too Brew

Salted,
Thank you so much. I presently have a sinus infection and a head full of snot. So a bad nights sweating and restless because of simple physical problems. Eventually took a night nurse which knocked me out. I now feel sluggish and mostly asleep.. Can't get back to sleep, can't get moving...ho, hum.

That appart, I am getting SAD. to make it better, not, the nights clamp in tomorrow. Real bears have something going.

grinchy full (hob, even etc) electric cookers don't come with plugs.

They need to be wired directly into the wall (dunno the technical term). You really need an electrician to do it safely. I think it cost £35 to get mine done in May and the nice electricians made the cooker level and everything else.
