Kind of screws up your day I guess Mitch Sad

Ennn · 06/02/2015 12:45

My plans for the day apparently involve Mavis coming here for another bath.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 06/02/2015 12:46

Is your bath superior to all other baths? Should we all turn up for a bath at yours?

SnowyMouse · 06/02/2015 12:47

(((( mitchy ))))

happyyonisleepyyoni · 06/02/2015 12:52

Mitchy could you try a hot bath with Epsom salts? They are meant to be good for muscle aches.

Ennn that's great re the CC for Tuesday. I have a complicated set if instructions from the GP to phone surgery on Monday at a specific time and say a secret password or something and she will call me back at another specific time blah blah. Hoping to avoid the tender mercies of the CMHT so have to be just mental enough to be signed off again but not too mental.

CAMHS goes to age 18 around here. I think cbt could be good for DS but he is not engaging with any talking therapy.

SnowyMouse · 06/02/2015 13:10

Glad you have a CC appt enpo - I was going to offer you mine.

Ennn · 06/02/2015 14:03

My bath is horrible but it is attached to a working boiler.

Thanks for the offer Snowy Smile

Good luck with GP yoni.

Anybody had depocote? That might not be how it's spelt...

CaulkheadUpNorth · 06/02/2015 14:10

It would be depakote actually. That's the one...

Mitchy1nge · 06/02/2015 14:23

not me but am familiar with its work against mania and have lots of manic depressive friends who can't take lithium any more and seem settled on depakote

I say lots but it's like 2 people

I was on it for several years.

SnowyMouse · 06/02/2015 14:26

I'm bricking it. I don't know anyone who's taken depakote.

Millie2013 · 06/02/2015 14:28

Hugs, snowy

Ennn · 06/02/2015 14:30

No noticeable side effects that I remember except maybe additional weight gain. I don't know why I was on it though; I think it was to level me out a bit once the olanzapine had dealt with the racing thoughts and anxiety? But then, the escitalopram was supposed to be preventing lows too. I know some people have effects on their periods but I was on the implant do didn't have them anyway.

Ennn · 06/02/2015 14:30

Snow?

SnowyMouse · 06/02/2015 14:32

CPN coming soonish. Thanks for the hugs.

Ennn · 06/02/2015 14:33

Be careful with pharmacists as ive had them dispense sodium valproate instead of valproate semisodium

Ennn · 06/02/2015 14:35

I hope it goes well and you get the help you want Mousie

Millie2013 · 06/02/2015 14:36

Since when did "I'm not doing very well at the moment, but I'll call you when I'm feeling better" translate to "please call me every fucking day and bang on about your own problems"

Have been on a lot of drugs for someone with no mental abnormality Hmm

I think I've lost some fizz in the last couple of days (been fizzy for about two weeks) and trajectory going potentially downwards; I'm going to increase my phenelzine to 45mg a day. I would leave a message for my psychiatrist to check that it's okay to change the dose like I did before Christmas (which was only supposed to be a temporary thing to get me through Christmas and reviewed soon afterwards but I haven't seen the psych since before Christmas) but he's left now and I don't see the other guy until March, so given that I'm struggling to control my mood using mental techniques I will have to use the phenelzine and hope to avoid a crash. It feels a bit like trying to make a unicyclist balance on a tightrope using one a long pole which I can jab him upright with (but only in one direction) Grin

Ennn · 06/02/2015 14:47

How incredibly irritating Millie Angry

CaulkheadUpNorth · 06/02/2015 14:50

Why do I see my psychiatrist so often compared with everyone else? I have lack-of-contact envy.

Millie2013 · 06/02/2015 14:51

I see a psychiatrist 2x week, ok it's DT, so a bit different :)

Ennn · 06/02/2015 14:51

Counter transference Wink your psych lurves you

Ennn · 06/02/2015 14:53

Why were you asking about depakote anyway? Getting fed up with the lithium blood tests?
