It's the new one for me from next Friday. So I've got higher lithium and quetiapine and then next week I begin depakote

Ennn · 06/02/2015 14:55

Be warned BTW, Depakote is enormous.

Ennn · 06/02/2015 14:56

Hope they're testing your BG on the quetiapine

Mitchy1nge · 06/02/2015 14:59

I only see a psych regularly (weekly or whatever) if have some sort of manic depressive type thing happening and they seem to be years apart - but have served my time in the past

have the creepiest rash-like bruise to serve as visual aid for exactly where calf strain is - it was tiny but now it has spread, want to show you but calf looks fat even though fat doesn't grow there, it's just swollen

No, but I test it myself out of fear.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 06/02/2015 15:01

Is it an allergic reaction to something? Tape?

Mitchy1nge · 06/02/2015 15:06

no it's from a tiny tear in the muscle, has happened before

is just nice to have something to show for the tenderness within

Ooh I read it as bruise like rash!

Ennn · 06/02/2015 15:17

I would prefer to see a psychiatrist slightly more frequently than I am at the moment, until I've fiddled around with my drugs and got a good meds regime and discontinuation plan in place, at least - but I guess it's tricky for them at the moment as one of their doctors is leaving and the other two are having to take up his patients, and since I'm not ill at the moment I'm understandably not at the top of the list Grin

Very bad calf strain to be showing on the surface Shock

I'm having the crisis team over the weekend, and CPN suggested day hospital again.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 06/02/2015 15:50

Well done for being honest snowy. I have them too this weekend so I'll keep you company.
How about trying the day hospital for a bit? Surely nothing is lost by trying it?

Ennn · 06/02/2015 15:54

What do you think to giving the day hospital a try?

SnowyMouse · 06/02/2015 16:01

I'm not awake enough in the mornings, going to try moving my antipsychotic earlier and see if that helps.

SnowyMouse · 06/02/2015 16:06

I also need to keep track of what I'm eating and drinking.

Ennn · 06/02/2015 16:11

Oh yes I remember mornings on neuroleptics now. Can you divide your dose?

Ennn · 06/02/2015 16:22

ISTR I had modest success with reducing morning sleepiness by taking some of my dose at teatime and some at bedtime.

SnowyMouse · 06/02/2015 16:24

That's what I'm going to try, enpo

Ennn · 06/02/2015 16:28

Good luck.

Millie2013 · 06/02/2015 16:30

I'm pleased you were able to be honest, Snowy

SnowyMouse · 06/02/2015 16:33

(((( caulk )))) I hope they help with your weekend.

toothpasteinthetree · 06/02/2015 17:36

Evening all.

SnowyMouse · 06/02/2015 17:37

Hi toothpaste, how are things?

toothpasteinthetree · 06/02/2015 17:40

Curled up with tea and laptop: DH has taken DCs out for a bit.

I'm sitting here pondering my return to work on Monday, and the perennial questions of how much I say to whom, and whether I cop out and blame it all on physical illness.

toothpasteinthetree · 06/02/2015 17:43

I mean, do employers and colleagues really believe that a week off will restore a person to Full Mental Normality?

Am I supposed to pretend that it did, so as not to disappoint or bugger up my career further?

When people say that they want to help, to what extent do they actually mean it?

SnowyMouse · 06/02/2015 17:43

It's difficult when colleagues ask questions, isn't it? Hmm If people are nosy I'd be tempted to put it down to feeling unwell, not specifying.
