Got to go and see the psychiatrist in about an hour and attempt to explain that my GP doesn't know me and massively overreacted the other day when he insisted on me hanging around for HOURS and HOURS three quarters of an hour while he waited for a call back from the psychiatrist.

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 11:47

Well that went better than expected. Didn't realise that they would have an electronic record of every single contact with services though - was slightly Blush reading through comment after comment going pressure of speech, pressure of speech, flight of ideas, pressure of speech - I get it, I talk fast. But it seems just as I'm coming to the conclusion there's very little wrong with me and I almost certainly don't have bipolar disorder or hypomania, mental health services are going in the opposite direction. Apparently I'm going to taper down even more though - seems very soon but I guess they know what they're doing.

SnowyMouse · 15/12/2014 12:15

How did your appointment go, enpoid?

I'm feeling touched, my MN secret santa arrived this morning.

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 12:42

Pretty well, thanks - was worried it'd get a bit "No! Bad patient! No more antidepressants for you!" but was actually totally fine though they are really perturbed that I want to have a life and be away for (gasp, horrors) more than a week over Christmas (cue much grumbling on ther part and extracting of solemn promises to see them just before and just after I go away, and probably a phone call while I'm away too Hmm

Utterly mystified as to why this is suddenly an issue now when I'm getting better, but was totally fine when I was suicidally depressed, but nobody ever said MH services made sense Grin

Awesome to hear about the Secret Santa Snowy - how incredibly lovely Smile How are you today?

SnowyMouse · 15/12/2014 13:12

I'm glad your appointment went pretty well, I always get anxious before them! It is quite mystifying at times, to say the least. They are usually quite cautious around Christmas in my experience, as it's difficult for many.

I'm okish, just had my shopping delivery with loads of junk food Hmm I need to find another way to distract myself.

I've got CPN coming later this week, and blood tests as well. I'm trying to stay away from google, wish I could ask someone what high haemoglobin means, clozapine can cause a drop in white blood cells so it's not that.

SnowyMouse · 15/12/2014 13:15

These for example are yummy!

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 13:20

That's a point; I wasn't taking the special stresses of Christmas into account. I usually get anxious too but didn't today for some reason perhaps it's the rum.

I hope everything is okay with your bloods.

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 13:22

Oh god Amaretti biscuits Envy

I could improvise with a bottle of amaretto liqueur and a box of oatcakes? Grin

SnowyMouse · 15/12/2014 13:39

Grin -try it and see!

I also have some mature brie - concession to calorie counting is the water biscuits I bought to go with it.

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 13:44

That's practically a health food, Brie and crackers.

I thought you meant you were going to dive facefirst into a binbagsized packet of Doritos or something Wink

Mitchy1nge · 15/12/2014 14:10

glad appt went well enpo, did you meet with the consultant this time?

hi snowy, do you smoke? my first thought was blood doping for enhanced athletic performance! or if you have been training at altitude or doing any sort of hypoxic training (is weird how some of those are legal and others aren't yet they yield similar results Confused) - but have just got in from a run, my thoughts get a bit stuck on a particular track sometimes. hope you find out what is going on soon

have managed to run a few miles in two divided doses, my back and hips were a bit shocked by the impact at first but they know what to do. Had coffee with a friend and found a happy and excited home for my Olympia tickets this weekend and got a box of codeine phosphate 30mg which am almost certainly not going to take since I now record my bowel movements by the month rather than day or week

and now I'm reheating the pasta I meant to eat last night and thinking about motivation - someone suggested my feeling of being stuck between what I want and my inability to actually act upon it was a lack of motivation. How do you increase motivation? Confused

OP posts:
Enpoid · 15/12/2014 14:17

No, I didn't see the consultant; they decided it was better that I keep seeing the same doctor, which is fair enough. Glad your back is recovered well enough to get out, anyway.

Motivation is a hard one. Get back to when you find out the answer, yes?

SnowyMouse · 15/12/2014 14:20

Grin True, there's lots worse!

Thanks Mitch - I don't smoke or train, hopefully the blood test will be fine on Wednesday.

I find taking movicol helps when I'm taking constipating meds, not sure if you can buy it OTC.

Mitchy1nge · 15/12/2014 15:34

am just going to eat lots of food until finally an actual poo comes out, have made good start with the pasta and tonight The Teen wants to make a Roast Dinner so have bought some lamb and potatoes and carrots and parsnips and stuff

but even my lovely friendly recovery record app hates me, it said 'make changes not excuses' after I poured my heart out into it Confused usually it says something nice and encouraging like 'it never rains forever' or 'H.O.P.E - Hold On, Pain Ends' with cute pictures of baby animals

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 15/12/2014 15:38

have been on receiving end of a bit of motivational enhancement type stuff earlier this year, even recently, it did help me feel quite up for making changes but maybe not enough to actually ride through the consequences of those

time for a lie down with the tramadol and where ever I left season 2 of The Killing

OP posts:
SnowyMouse · 15/12/2014 16:08

Oh dear, mitch, tell the app to behave. Enjoy the killing!

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 17:05

I REQUIRE MY NEW BRA. WHERE THE FUCK IS IT, AMAZON?

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/12/2014 17:10

Probably the same place as my boots. Confused
I did the mn bra measuring thing today and I am a completely different size. This is both good and infuriating as I will have to buy new bras now.

SnowyMouse · 15/12/2014 17:11

Yodel have suspended new deliveries (or they did at the end of last week). Do you know who's the deliverer for your bra?

Mitchy1nge · 15/12/2014 17:13

what's the MN bra measuring thing?

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 15/12/2014 17:21

Yodel are a shower of shites.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/12/2014 17:22

I can't link to it because I'm on my phone, but if you go onto s and b there is a link from one of my posts. It's measuring whilst standing up and then you get a different size and it changes your WORLD

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/12/2014 17:24

This

Mitchy1nge · 15/12/2014 17:24

will it make me a 34c instead of a 28 aa b? :)

OP posts:
SnowyMouse · 15/12/2014 17:27

I keep meaning to try that.
