I'm plumping for 2., Mitch.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 10/01/2015 17:57

I'm going for number 3.

The omelette sounds good. Have had muller rice yoghurt l, which is standard, and I have some soup for later. Still on green tea too.

Enpoid · 10/01/2015 18:01

ISWYM Caulk - and it depends how much they already know, I guess. Could you text something like, "Feeling a bit wobbly today - fancy meeting up for a coffee sometime?" Something which lets on you're feeling under par but allows them to say they can't meet up today without laying yourself bare to feeling you've asked for help and been rejected?

Sorry, that was a complicated sentence and probably made no sense. You're doing really well IMO. How's the tea?

CaulkheadUpNorth · 10/01/2015 18:09

Yep that makes sense. My panic is that at least if I'm at home I can feel like this, and know I'm not going to do anything but could do. Whereas if I'm with someone else, out somewhere or at their house or something I couldn't do anything if I wanted to.
That may not make sense. Wink

The tea is lovely. It's half tea have tears as sobbing is clearly how Mentally Normal people deal with stuff. Or whatever.

Enpoid · 10/01/2015 18:12

Makes perfect sense. Knowing you could if you wanted to, and that that safety valve is there.

(Even though you know that as a safety valve, it's not really a very safe one WinkFlowers)

toothpasteinthetree · 10/01/2015 18:19

I'd go with the quiz question being a trick one and suggest the answer is all three?

Caulk I do get the stuckness of not knowing what to say to people, and the clinging to safety valve. Really hope this passes for you soon.

Enpoid · 10/01/2015 18:20

Does "your" cat like music, Caulk?

I bought Mavis a CD the other day and when she put it on, her cat went and sat in front of the stereo and listened to it. He didn't look impressed.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 10/01/2015 18:24

I don't know, I've never tried. He is very docile and doesn't have strong opinions to anything except food. He is the Worlds Neediest Cat so likes attention a lot too.

Enpoid · 10/01/2015 18:25

Is he cuddly?

CaulkheadUpNorth · 10/01/2015 18:37

Yes, very much so.

I just tried to load some pictures up of him, but Safari has frozen.

Enpoid · 10/01/2015 18:40

Ah, what a shame. I do like a cuddly animal though my stupid asthmatic lungs beg to differ.

Mitchy1nge · 10/01/2015 18:42

:) thanks for saying I still don't look fat tooth! even though I do now I've finished That Omelette

the answer was 2 which is interesting because lots of patients prefer to view their experiences/adventures beyond mental normality that way - would make an interesting blog post/discussion I think. Apparently the Truly Mentally Normal or general public prefer a conceptualisation they can relate to - stress and strain of everyday life overwhelming someone - while The Mental like to locate it in some sort of faulty gene/chemical disorder of the brain

I might need tramadol for pudding, back is awful

need to find enpo's prize for getting it right

(will be interested to find out if that q makes it into the exam, is probably a bit politically unpalatable or something)

Aaahhhh squidgy fluffball! Tell me he doesn't use his claws?

Yay, prize! How about a Barney pic (if you have one)? Wink

toothpasteinthetree · 10/01/2015 18:58

What a beautiful cat Grin

(I love cats!)

Enpoid · 10/01/2015 18:59

Sorry your back's bad Mitch. Sad

CaulkheadUpNorth · 10/01/2015 18:59

Occasionally with claws, but only when he is excited and tries to play or when he is being held and seems to panic that he will be dropped.

He is very solid, and is a good size to carry around though. He likes sleeping in my wardrobe too. Grin

SnowyMouse · 10/01/2015 19:00

Gorgeous cat Grin

Mitchy1nge · 10/01/2015 19:05

that is one adorable cat!

ok although I took a photo of a rat today (although it was dead and between spaniel paws but it looked peaceful and there was no blood)

my phone is taking a couple of days to load this thread each time grrrr

OP posts:
SnowyMouse · 10/01/2015 19:09

There'll need to be a new thread soon, it might load better?

Enpoid · 10/01/2015 19:13

How many messages per page do you have it set to?

Enpoid · 10/01/2015 19:15

I don't have any pets right now but I can upload a picture of the most recent pair of rats I had? alive ones too

Mitchy1nge · 10/01/2015 19:18

oh I don't use pages, maybe that would help?

here is a photo of me and Barney when I actually was fat in real life, or at least 15kg a bit fatter a few years ago
