A black one. He is normal/large cat size and is very solid. I don't like pets where you can feel their bones. Last night he caught his tail on a candle so that is singed somewhat and is not my fault.

He has got into an ikea storage tidy box thing. Maybe Mavis is lacking storage for the cat to be in?

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 04:46

Yes, skirts with trousers was bizarre. Especially with cargo pants and a strappy top.

I never went to guides. I was a miniature stroppy atheist republican child and refused brownies due to the prospect of having to Swear an Important Oath that went against my oh so important principles Wink

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/12/2014 04:47

I got thrown out of guides for Not Joining In Enough. I can't remember now why I didn't join in.

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 04:48

Mavis accidentally left her cat locked in a large cupboard last time she came to visit us so frankly I'm just happy the cat doesn't want to scratch my face off.

Black cats are lovely.

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 04:49

Animals are useless with their tails. The number of rats I've had that don't seem to notice or care where their tail is or what's happening to it is bizarre.

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 04:49

Joining in is overrated.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/12/2014 04:50

Why does she have locks on her cupboards?

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 04:52

Well, it's kind of a mini room with a computer in it. I don't know if it was locked, as such, but the cat was certainly trapped in there. It was the plaintive meowing that tipped us off.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/12/2014 04:53

Or, does everyone have locks on their cupboards except me? Shall I add "lack of locks" to my list on inadequacies? Which would also need "lack of list of lack of inadequacies".

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 04:54

I mostly don't have cupboards so you're ahead there Grin

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/12/2014 04:55

Ah. That makes more sense. I was imagining an airing cupboard.
My ndn as a teenager was an alcoholic, although we didn't know it at the time. I went round one time to see her and she had shut her pet chickens in the airing cupboard to keep them warm. Opening the door and them all flying out was terrifying.

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 04:55

I hope Mitchy wakes up feeling not-sick and with a painless back, and Mp feels less unsettled today.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/12/2014 04:56

My house is Very New so everything is built in, cupboard wise. There are also 4 adults so a lot of stuff to go in the cupboards.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/12/2014 04:56

Yes. Definitely.

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 04:57

AAAGH Chickenpocalypse Grin

You'd never want to open an airing cupboard without first checking for marauding chickens again

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/12/2014 04:58

It has now become a funny story, but was hideous at the time. She believed in her drunken state that it was best to keep them warm. Confused Possibly hiding them from someone too? I can't remember all the details.

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 05:00

Ah. My house is fairly old and we ripped the kitchen out ten years ago to satisfy a mortgage company that said we had to replace the kitchen, and haven't yet got round to installing the cupboards. They're stacked flatpacked racked in the lounge next to a large piece of worktop that has stopped us closing the door between the kitchen and the living room for a decade. The kitchen installation stallated when DP couldn't work out worktop cutting.

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 05:00

Poor chickens, and your poor neighbour too.

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 05:02

Why do they call IOWers Caulkheads anyway? And does Chocopolis really count as up north? Wink

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 05:03

Are you staying up, Caulk, or planning to try to get a few more hours kip?

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/12/2014 05:03

Cupboards are over rated. We have one just full of plastic bags. Plastic bags ffs.

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 05:04

Now be fair, those are going to become valuable come the plastic bag charge.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/12/2014 05:05

I don't, I can't remember. Something to do with a war probably. And YES it is north. Anything further than Winchester is north. I'm living in undiscovered territory up here!

I'm wide awake but should try and sleep or will be grumpy all day.

Enpoid · 15/12/2014 05:05

"You all laughed at the plastic bag stash; well WHO'S LAUGHING NOW?! MWAHAHAHAAAA!"

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/12/2014 05:06

I run a foodbank at work so often clear out the cupboard for there but they keep multiplying I think. or I shop too much
