How about this then everyone?

Becky how did you sleep last night?

How's everyone else? Getdown, Orangeflutie, Frikadela and the rest?

I slept really well Shock - from 12 til 8 with a brief waking to resettle a partying ds at 3am.

Give me some wisdom please ladies. I really want to be pregnant and I can't rule out some wishful thinking if I'm honest. But I have very sore boobs, I'm tired (of the yawn I could sleep rather than the weary variety) and this morning I'm queasy too. But I don't think I'm due on until Thursday. And the test I stupidly wasted this morning was of course negative. How early can you get symptoms? And doesn't having symptoms mean you should have detectable HGC levels in your urine? Confused

I probably just need telling not to be so daft Grin

orangeflutie · 12/02/2011 13:59

Well I could tell you not to be so daft but that would be a bit mean:)

Fingers crossed anyway:) x

BeckyBendyLegs · 12/02/2011 14:07

madmouse sore boobs was always a big first sign for me, and tiredness (as in can't keep eyes open, just like you describe). I didn't feel sick until about 5-6 weeks but that might be just me. I did feel 'off' though and food started to taste just that bit different. For DS3 I did the test on the day my period was due and it was positive then. I don't know about earlier.

You can be daft! :) Thursday is still a while away so perhpas the hormone levels are too low yet. Who knows? Fingers crossed.

I slept better last night after watching Nightmare on Elmstreet which is basically about a girl who tries to keep herself awake to stop herself having nightmares about this strange man with knives for fingers. Not sure why we watched it really! I still feel very anxious though but dreaming I was having an affair with Dermot O'Leary helped Grin

You could be madmouse but it may be too early to pick it up on the test. Try again on thursday I reckon. Hope you are though!

Sorry you've had some bad nights becky, but glad last night was better.

madmouse · 13/02/2011 09:13

Thanks for the wisdom - you lot are fab Smile - resisting the urge to test again today but don't think I'll last till Thursday, my excuse being that I don't actually know how long my cycle is! Blush

I slept really tightly from 12-5 then woke up from ds having a party, slept a bit restlessly since then but didn't wake properly until 8is!

How's everyone else sleeping?

GetDownYouWillFall · 13/02/2011 14:00

Any more symptoms madmouse? How's stuff at church now?

I've not been having a very good weekend Sad DH is working both yesterday and today.

Plus I am now in an almost permanent state of panic about this pregnancy. I did another test yesterday morning - for reassurance more than anything - and the line was fainter than the test I did at about 5 weeks pregnant (I'm 9 weeks now). This totally freaked me out as it should be neon light strong by now Sad

Convinced that I am losing my symptoms (i.e. not much sickness etc) I have managed to persuade DH to come with me to an early (private) scan. We are going either tomorrow or wednesday, depending on how DH's work pans out.

Totally terrified but just really need to know now.

I was leading prayers at church this morning (in front of about 200 people) so needless to say with that on my mind, and all the pregnancy terror, I had a pretty bad night. Woke up at 3 and really struggled to get off again. Think I did manage to catch another hour between about 5 and 6 but that was it.

SIGH. I really need to stop my mind working overtime.

BeckyBendyLegs · 13/02/2011 16:42

GetDown I think the scan is a really good idea - it'll give you reassurance and peace of mind, which I think you need.

Why did you do a test, you daft thing??

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 13/02/2011 17:51

I know I know it was stupid. I just haven't had much sickness and I thought as I had one test left I might as well use it up and being 9 weeks it should be nice and strong and so reassure me. It didn't. It has sent me into a spin and now am mega anxious Sad

Sorry about droning on about me. How are you becky?

BeckyBendyLegs · 14/02/2011 19:38

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

GetDown how are you today? I'm fine! Feeling happy with red roses and dinner being cooked :)

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 14/02/2011 19:46

Ahh red roses! My DH didn't even get me a card, but we are going out for a meal shortly which will be nice Smile

I had a pretty bad night last night. Wide awake at 2am and stayed that way for a good few hours. Still, I don't feel too bad today.

Enjoy your valentine;s evenings ladies! xx

madmouse · 14/02/2011 22:08

Hi getdown you're not droning on - you've been too quiet as it is! Have you had your scan?

I woke up sick this morning, 6am wide awake and nauseous. so couldn't resist and did one of those 'first response' tests at lunchtime but negative. I just need to know now...maybe try with first morning urine if I wake up queasy again...

I won't be that gutted if not pregnant - just seem to be getting stressed about whether I am or not!

GetDownYouWillFall · 15/02/2011 08:29

Hi madmouse you def need to test with first morning urine this early on to get an accurate result. Am very excited for you - nausea!! Sounds promising. Do you still have sore boobs?

BTW I have used first response and I don't think they're very good. They give quite "faint" results. I find some of the shop own brands give stronger positive lines.

Hoping for you.

I've got my scan 11:10 tomorrow morning. Trying not to worry but it's so hard not to. I do still get nausea but it is very mild and intermittent - much milder than I had with DD. Who knows. Ah well find out tomorrow.

madmouse · 15/02/2011 09:39

Will be thinking of you this morning getdown and praying. Hoping to hear good news later.

Who knows you may simply be expecting a boy this time.

Yes I'm still sore and nauseous, got nauseous with tiredness last night so went to bed early. Decided not to test this morning as I don't want to drive myself potty. Maybe tomorrow morning.

Becky how is your sleep? And anxiety? I came home to red roses too, despite dh having a migraine. Big surprise as we normally only give each other a card! Made me feel special.

How/where is everyone else?

GetDownYouWillFall · 15/02/2011 09:44

It's tomorrow morning....

madmouse · 15/02/2011 09:50

need to go back to bed I think

Well then instead will send you a big hug to get through today xx

BeckyBendyLegs · 15/02/2011 10:03

Slept badly - awake until 1.30am. Fed up!!

GetDown lots and lots of positive baby vibes going your way this morning.

Madmouse big hug to you - wait and see!

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 15/02/2011 12:45

On no becky! So sorry you slept badly. Were you thinking about anything in particular?? Hope you're not feeling too rough today. It's grim lying awake isn't it.

I seemed to get off ok last night but was awake really early and felt anxious straight away which was annoying.

BeckyBendyLegs · 15/02/2011 15:51

How was your scan?

OP posts:
madmouse · 15/02/2011 15:55

It's tomorrow Becky - I made that mistake this morning Blush

BeckyBendyLegs · 15/02/2011 19:01

Ohhh silly me!

OP posts:
madmouse · 16/02/2011 07:15

Well Getdown it's a Confused BFN from me this morning but that's ok - thinking of you and willing that little heart to beat strongly for you later xxx

BeckyBendyLegs · 16/02/2011 08:05

Will be thinking of you today GetDown :) xxxx

I slept better last night! Yeah!

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 16/02/2011 08:45

Sorry about the BFN madmouse but remember it could still be too early. On the conception boards there are people who don't get a BFP till their period is 3 or more days late. Think it depends on how quickly the HCG levels rise.

Glad you slept better becky that's great.

I had an unsurprising crappy night. Mr. Mckenna got me off ok, but woke up about 2am in an absolute panic and then spent pretty much the rest of the night alternating between dozing and wide awake.

Will let you know how I get on later.

GetDownYouWillFall · 16/02/2011 12:56

2.8cm long with a heartbeat of 181bpm.

Measuring 9 weeks and 4 days, due date 17th september.

I was so relieved I burst into tears whilst lying on the sonographer's table Blush

orangeflutie · 16/02/2011 13:00

Oh GetDown that's lovely news:)

I'm so pleased everything is ok x
