Hai everyone.
@Happleandhorange what a pain about the PT. To not get what you need, and to feel like you weren't listened to, definite case for "money back please".
@MotherForkinShirtBalls yes I can feel your pain about losing the will to squat! I had some feedback a few weeks ago about my squat form and I decided to drop the weight right down and start again. So I'm nowhere near PRs, but I feel nice and strong/solid lifting what I am lifting. I guess I'd rather lift less but feel like it's good. It will go up over time.
My deadlift on the other hand, is going great. After a hard 1RM session at the crossfit (kabooming my previous one 1RM), I felt amazing. Then a week later had one of those dumb crossfit workouts where matey said "50% of your 1RM" but it was for 10x10 reps. I got two sets done, then dropped the weight down again, then just completely faded and felt like crap for the rest of the workout and basically meh.
On Wednesday, having not done any lifting since then, I did a 5x5 at 70% and every rep felt mint. The boss even said "you moved with great integrity, I had no comments on your lifts" which I'm almost stupidly happy about.
Weightlifting is just a bloody emotional rollercoaster sometimes (possibly all times).
Today is Strict Press and hopefully buddying up with Lovely Anna Sensei. Then a typical crossfit beasting of 20s on 10s off for INFINITY minutes
(8 * 5 exercises but it will feel endless)
