Anyone want to join me?
Yes I know it’s an oldie but I did it about 15 years ago and it was really effective.
I’ve just done day one and the weights and abs stuff weren’t too bad but the cardio nearly killed me, I’m more unfit than I realised.

Massive Jillian fan , she has her own app which is £4.99 a month

all her dvd workouts are in there including shred and lots of new ones , you can also generate your own workouts on there

FloofyBird · 29/06/2025 16:02

I did this years ago. For a whole 5 days lol, but even that started to make a noticeable difference. I've bought the dvd again recently and just done day two (I'm not doing it every day though). Is anyone far enough through to post any results to motivate us?

SwankyPants · 29/06/2025 16:05

Im watching the thread and going to start very gently. Im so unfit but desperate to build my fitness.

When I first started I just did what I could do, and when she did a move that was too hard I just replaced it with an easier version, because I thought well at least I’m doing something! Then oncw my body got used to it I was then doing the proper move after a few days

REDB99 · 29/06/2025 20:25

I started last Sunday and have done level 1 5 times, went for a long bike ride today instead of doing the shred. I might do level 2 in the morning! Aiming for 4 of it next week and 1 cycle. I’ve got 2 days a week I can’t do it due to 12 hour days but figure the rest is good for me.

Careerdecisions · 29/06/2025 21:16

Level 1 day 7 completed. I can feel myself pushing harder so hopefully that means progress.

FloofyBird · 30/06/2025 21:32

I completed day three today. I did thurs yesterday and today, mainly because it will be way too hot to contemplate tomorrow, plus I didn't feel the doms from thurs until Sat, so I figured if I should do two days in a row before Sundays doms hits haha!

Careerdecisions · 30/06/2025 22:38

Nearly forgot to check in (and this daily check in is keeping my going.) Day 8 completed, it was a sweaty glowy one! Two more days to go and then a level 2-whoop!

Gummylump · 30/06/2025 22:45

What a blast from the past! I also did this many, many times about 15 years ago & had abs. I miss them. 😭

I do want a challenge for July so may start this tomorrow. Wish I still had the dvd as I've never been able to find it fully online.

The link worked for me but are level 2 and 3 available too?

All 3 are on dailymotion for free ♥️
WELL DONE EVERYONE YOU GOT THIS! Channeling my inner Jillian 🤣

IDareSay · 01/07/2025 08:49

I remember doing this about half my life ago!
You have all inspired me to get it on Amazon Prime so I can play it on my phone and iPad. I have lost a bit of weight recently and could really use some toning up; now to actually start....(it's a bit hot here though!)

Amazing, thank you ! Appreciate the motivation too 😅 I'm going to start today. 💪

TheHorrorsPersist · 01/07/2025 11:48

Officially starting today after a couple of trial runs last week. I have made myself a chart with 30 boxes to colour in as I go as I like a bit of visual motivation.

Gummylump · 01/07/2025 13:37

That's a good idea @TheHorrorsPersist I think I will do the same.

Day 1 done. ✅️

napody · 01/07/2025 13:39

Just found this thread and would love to belatedly join (from tomorrow when it's much cooler!)

Loved 'don't phone it in'!

Buntyforgirls · 01/07/2025 14:37

Hello All!
A very motivating bunch- I have just completed L1 d3!

I have just about reached my target weight - lost about 12ish pounds, following the Louise Parker method.

Now ready to further tone and strengthen, so here I am!

Not my favourite form of exercise- I love pilates and yoga- but realise this needs to be part of a healthy lifestyle too, moving forward, so, feeling very excited and hope to see improvement by the time of my son's wedding in 5 weeks time- that would be fab!

I'm finding it challenging - the cardio - but keeping up - not as bouncy on the jumping jack's as I want to take it easier on my knees- and 25 mins is perfect- no excuse not to. I will have a rest day when I do pilates/ yoga classes.

Thanks for listening, and for the group.
Good luck today!

I’ve done Level 1 7 times now. I’m going for a 15 mile bike ride tomorrow and Friday. Thursday is a day off due to a long day at work then I’m going to start level 2 on Saturday. I’m 10 days into my being fitter and healthier little project. I’ve had one less good day where I ate fish and chips, ice cream and went to the pub! Apart from that I’m doing well overall. Can feel that level one is getting easier and stomach area is definitely looking slimmer, about half an inch has come off my waist. I’m committing to 35 days as then I go on holiday. Will post before and after pics if I’m brave enough! Thanks for the motivation all!

Buntyforgirls · 01/07/2025 16:50

Half an inch @REDB99 , that's fantastic! Well done.
Hoping I can start to lose an inch too, would love that too. Fingers crossed!

Careerdecisions · 01/07/2025 19:36

Level 1 day 9 completed. It’s actually flown in and only one more day of level 1 left. I had a long day at work and four hours of commuting today so I had to tell myself just attempting it would be sufficient and I watched the tennis at the same time to detract from the difficulty! Feeling better for it now though. I didn’t take any measurements when I started but I have resurrected a pair of trousers from my wardrobe that I seem to be able to squeeze into again and it may be the placebo effect but I feel a bit slimmer. Whether it’s placebo or not, it’s given me a boost! I wonder if I’ll be able to salvage some more items from my wardrobe before the 30 days is up.

Scorpion84 · 01/07/2025 20:02

This thread Inspired me to do this workout for the first time in about a decade !
made me realise how much I've been 'phoning it in ' 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Saggyoldclothbody · 01/07/2025 20:02

I started watching this thread when it started and thought “I must do that again” after doing level 1 several times (because the rest looked too hard) circa 2011. Finally started today.

I’m still rubbish at Jumping Jacks, I succumbed early to doing Anita’s push ups, and my Butt Kicks are a bit pathetic but the rest of it felt ok, probably because I’ve been doing daily squats with heavier weights.

I think I will feel it in the morning though!

Disturbia81 · 01/07/2025 21:16

Another tip is once you’ve heard the instructions the first time, then put your favourite energetic tunes on for the rest of the days. It helps my stamina, is a distraction and also somehow makes it go quicker.

TheBang · 02/07/2025 06:45

I’ve been cheating a little bit and mixing Jillian in with some other workouts on the days where I just can’t face her! Hopefully it will still be effective. I think last time I sometimes did all the cardio, then all the weights, then the abs to prevent all the getting up and down off the floor!

L1D4 completed. Switched to half jacks to protect my knees and to be fair they were still not fun!
Made the mistake of a C25k run straight after, and my inner thighs really felt it, so not a good idea as they feel sore now.
Pilates later this evening.
I think a rest day tomorrow with some yoga stretches and some upper body strengthening - give my legs a holiday!
Good luck all today and enjoy the cooler weather!
