No I haven't used Sydney Roonetta. I've really got into Caroline and don't feel like changing. Perhaps I should take the plunge** though! Especially since I've seen excellent reviews for Sydney

Ps sorry for outing you MotherForkin Wink

PeloFondo · 22/09/2022 17:38

I need to shift myself to do a ride
It's the last 2 weeks of the challenge and it's getting really tough now

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 22/09/2022 20:15

Don't worry, Sophie, my own ineptitude did that! I get bored of names so I change a lot but I like to keep this one on this thread... I just sometimes forget to fill in the little box above my post Blush

iloveeverykindofcat · 23/09/2022 05:30

Back to gym today. Yesterday I did some pilates and walking but it wasn't a stellar performance as I was knackered after a huge train delay/connection problem fiasco. I'm getting agitated just thinking about it😂.

SophieLion · 23/09/2022 09:09

Epic heat day 32 (upper body giant sets) and a short krissy chela abs and core workout.

Tomorrow will be a rest day Smile

Days exercised 177

PeloFondo · 24/09/2022 14:00

45 min power zone ride

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 24/09/2022 17:15

Yoga class done, and I've also done a lot of cycling to do errands today. I've failed miserably on 30DS this week: DD brought a virus home from school last weekend and I've been feeling low-level ill all week. Back on it tomorrow, I hope.

Days exercised 147.

iloveeverykindofcat · 24/09/2022 18:29

Back in normal routine now. Today vinyasa yoga and a quick an workout. My back was needing that yoga for sure.

SophieLion · 25/09/2022 09:27

7km run.

Days exercised 178

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 25/09/2022 11:01

30DS L1D3 done. So tedious, but it does make a difference.

Days exercised 148.

iloveeverykindofcat · 25/09/2022 12:15

@ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson that's how I feel about yoga and Pilates. Despite what people say I've never learned to love it. It was boring when I started and its boring now. But I used to be on regular prescription painkillers for my back and now I take nothing but the occasional paracetamol. Many days not even that. Can't argue with the results.

roonetta · 25/09/2022 14:23

Yes it all makes a difference. I've been dipping in and out of 30DS and really notice a difference in my endurance from the first time I did it around 2 1/2 years ago. The first time I barely made it through and felt physically sick but now I can make it though fairly easily, although I am still bright red at the end Grin.

Interesting what you say about yoga limiting your painkiller use cat. I struggle with yoga as I am very stiff and so I avoid it (yes I can see the irony). I keep meaning to try and do a little each day. I need to make a proper commitment and see what difference it makes.

Hope you feel better soon Professor Flowers

5 mile WWL done ✅

30 min power zone ride. That was tough, lactate threshold work

I should probably add I do a 10 min stretch class too after every ride!

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 25/09/2022 15:54

Very busy work days Friday and yesterday so u hardly had time to move at all. After my talk of weight lifting, I did a weights session at the gym this morning. It was fairly light but felt good.

Hope you and dd feel better soon, Professor

iloveeverykindofcat · 25/09/2022 16:21

@roonetta oh I had the opposite problem. I'm incredibly hypermobile. To the point that if I push my hand downwards I can extend my thumb past my forearm. I've been tested for Ehlers Danlos but it was negative. The pain was caused by a weak core combined with a ridiculously flexible spine that I didn't have the muscle to support. My challenge was to do the poses in a controlled way rather than sort of just chuck my limbs into them. You can start very small though. I like Cat Meffan on YouTube, she has sessions for all levels.

PeloFondo · 26/09/2022 20:38

30 min hip hop ride

SophieLion · 27/09/2022 18:15

I've had a couple of days off and you have inspired me to do yoga tomorrow everykindofcat. I used to do cat Meffan quite a bit and always enjoy her sessions because she is so creative - doesn't get boring** for me. It's great that yoga has worked so well for your back pain.

Yes I also feel I am getting much stiffer Roonetta. I really need to build in more yoga as it helps a lot.

Very impressed that you stretch for 10 mins each time you bike pelo!!!

Are you feeling better now professor?

Glad you enjoyed your weights session MotherForkin. I'm hoping Caroline girvan will do something new soon with weights to inspire me

iloveeverykindofcat · 28/09/2022 06:13

I like Cat Meffan because she's straight to the point with a minimal amount of woo. Yoga with Adrienne annoys the crap out of me. I don't want to consider my spiritual centre at 7 o clock in the morning. Just show me the damn poses so I can get on with my day😆

SophieLion · 28/09/2022 07:33

That made me laugh I lovecats ! I agree. Have you tried Yoga with Tim? He is really good and explains things very well and has a nice sense of humour - perhaps his flows are not as creative as Cat Meffan's but I like him.

Today did a 40 mins Cat Meffan vinyasa flow. Feeling good - as though all my body got worked and stretched.

@SophieLion I have not, may check him out. You definitely have to find an instructor you get on with.

SophieLion · 29/09/2022 08:02

Let me know what you think of Tim, ilovecats.

Decided to re-do epic heat. Today epic heat day 1 (legs complexes). Was tough but really enjoyed!

Absolute disaster of a week...not sleeping and work has been mad. I finally made myself go for a swim at lunchtime and feel so much better for it. Hopefully it tires me out to sleep tonight too 😴 dh is away for the weekend so I'm not sure I'll get to the gym but I might try an easy plodding run when the kids are at their matches.
