I like the look of that one Motherforkin. Might give it a go at the weekend Grin

Kids had an in-service day today so I managed a short 30 minute Pilates workout before work.

Me this morning choosing tunes for my Sunday Special. It went very well, but I'm feeling the lack of training!

speaking of singalong, this week for the Pain Track I did Alanis' "You Learn" from Jagged Little Pill, and was belting out the chorus while planking. I've definitely found a new favourite for that.

🎼The fire trucks are comin' up around the bend
[Chorus]
🎤You live, you learn
You love, you learn
You cry, you learn
You lose, you learn
You bleed, you learn
You scream, you learn

I started the weekend with a lot of enthusiasm but it failed me terribly Blush

Swim at lunchtime. It was annoyingly busy and I was too fast for the slow lane but too slow for the faster one so not as enjoyable as usual.

Days Exercised 44

OublietteBravo · 13/03/2023 19:28

I was pathetic all weekend (although I did manage 15,000 steps on Saturday). Back to it today - exercise is necessary for my sanity when work is as busy as it currently is. 6W6P L1 and DDMix: Charleston (39 mins)

Days exercised: 48/60
Time: 348/800 minutes

OublietteBravo · 14/03/2023 19:54

I’m getting better at making myself do some exercise when I’d really prefer not to. NTWICF (EEI - TIH - RIO), plus warm up/cool down (38 min)

Days exercised: 9/20
Time: 386/800 minutes

BezMills · 15/03/2023 07:04

@OublietteBravo those workoutswhere you kinda cbf but jfdi, are made of pure win. Good effort.
I miss my regular schedule of gym classes so much - they really kept me going. Without any exercise anchors in my week, I'm struggling at the moment.

roonetta · 15/03/2023 08:42

Kids are off again for the next couple of days due to the strikes, so managed a workout first thing. 35 minute 'bit of everything' workout with Trinny/Nat. Enjoyed it.

Just a short session this evening. 30DS L3 and DDMix: 1980s Rocky (30 min)

Days exercised: 50/60
Time: 416/800 minutes

roonetta · 16/03/2023 09:36

50 minute "tough" mini band workout. Angry

Run today. Things have managed to get even more hectic and stressful this week!

Days exercised 45

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 17/03/2023 12:44

Run again this morning (all this stress may actually pay off!) and a short, 5min, sea dip afterwards. It was cold (7.7°) and very rough, waves about 8ft, so probably not the best day to get back in after a year, but it was good for my soul.

Days exercised 45

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 17/03/2023 12:45

That should have been 46 days.

And happy St Patrick's day ☘

OublietteBravo · 17/03/2023 19:38

Rest day yesterday (although I did do 15,000 steps). A couple of short workouts this evening.
30DS L1 and NTHICF L1 (37 min).

Days exercised: 51/60
Time: 453/800 minutes

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 20/03/2023 16:19

I ran home from school with ds today. It was reasonably short but he's a lot faster than me!

Days exercised 47

BezMills · 20/03/2023 17:55

@MotherForkinShirtBalls good effort. Finding a way to fit exercise into everyday activity is all kinds of WIN.

@OublietteBravo and @roonetta you guys are just inspirational. Keep on keeping on!

On Friday I did my BodyCombat assessment. Received great feedback today and I passed!
I have a Sunday Special this week, and the following Sat (1 April) it's the Gym Open Day. After that, I'll be getting into my new routine teaching BC three times a week, and trying to drum up members for the new gym (same as the old gym, but looks nicer/smells of paint).

OublietteBravo · 20/03/2023 19:47

I didn’t manage to make myself exercise over the weekend. However I’ve just done the NTWICF DVD all the way through (59 mins)

Days exercised: 52/60
Time: 512/800 minutes

SophieLion · 21/03/2023 08:24

Hello! Sorry for being so awful at posting. Just caught up on all your exercising. The sea swimming sounds impressive with such big waves motherforkin. And glad your exercise mojo is back oubliette. Well done on passing your assessment bezmills!! Hi Roonetta! See you've not ventured back to CG. I find band workouts really tough - everything always so much harder with the band Angry

I managed to finish Iron program and decided to make my own program (I find it much easier to exercise when I don't have to make decisions about what to do!) incorporating a Lower body, upper body and full Body of iron each week plus a run and a yoga session. I don't imagine I will be sticking to it each week on the set days so will just work my way through it as and when I have time.

roonetta · 21/03/2023 13:39

As always, jealous of your sea swim Motherforkin.

Well done Bez! You must be really proud, and rightly so. I too am inspired by everyone on this thread. They are the reason I've kept the exercise going (although I've definitely slacked off the last few days Blush)

Hi Sophie! Hope you enjoyed your holiday. I did a one off CG workout a few weeks ago but my arm really doesn't like it and I find you need heavier weights when doing CG workouts, the lighter ones don't feel like they are doing anything. I do miss her though. I'm surprised she hasn't come back with any programmes this year. I really thought she was preparing some sort of App or something but maybe she just had enough Confused

Well I've spent this morning at the walk-in centre with DS who has fractured his big toe. Certainly don't feel like doing a workout now Grin

OP posts:
SophieLion · 21/03/2023 14:20

Oh no. Hope your DS isn't in too much pain Roonetta. Get well soon 💐 does he have a cast?

Oh yes skiing was good but feels like ages ago now 😆 yes I'm also surprised re girvan. I wonder if she's started doing personal training again. She really gave the impression she would be back soon in her last interview (or perhaps it was the end of Fuel).

roonetta · 21/03/2023 14:39

Thanks Sophie. They have just strapped it up and he has to stay off it for a couple of days. It's his own fault for leaving things lying all over the floor; he tripped on his PlayStation controller Grin. He is just happy he has more time off school.

I agree CG definitely gave the impression she was preparing something and would be back. Maybe it's taking longer than she anticipated Hmm
