Killer Body: level 1 (45 minutes). I forced myself to exercise as I knew it was get me to my target of 20 days in February.

Days exercised: 40/40
Time: 745/700 minutes.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 28/02/2023 21:41

Managed to get a very short run this evening. I was driving for 5.5 hours today so I needed it!

OublietteBravo · 01/03/2023 19:34

Right. Plan for March. I’m going to go for 800 minutes. At least 20 days. Any more than that doesn’t seem to work!

NTWICF: ease it in, take it higher, rock it out, and both mat sections - plus warm up and cool down (45min)

Days exercised: 41/60
Time: 45/800minutes

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 01/03/2023 22:06

Swim today.

Sorry to read about your sniffy dog motherforkin and glad he is on the mend now.

We're skiing this week. So that's my exercise sorted. I did do a run last week otherwise plodding on with Iron series and lots of dog walking (missing him lots this week!).

roonetta · 02/03/2023 08:36

Well done on reaching your goals Oubliette. I have a feeling you will smash your new ones! Star

Have a fab time skiing Sophie!

Hope you are ok @BezMills?

Managed to do the dynamic Pilates I couldn't do at the weekend. Really tough. Does anyone else begin to lose motivation when they don't see any physical change (even though I am definitely feeling stronger)? I wish I could encourage myself as easily as I can others. I need a reality check that I will never look like the Pilates instructor (who is tiny and toned) as we are completely different body types and ages Blush

Thanks @roonetta. I find it easier to stay motivated if I frame my reason for exercising as someone like “being strong and active” rather than focusing on my weight or body shape.

Enjoy the skiing @SophieLion.

KB&T L1 (40 mins)

Time: 85/800 minutes

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 02/03/2023 23:23

Have fun skiing, Sophie. I can't find motivation in the first place, Roonetta. I'm really dragging myself through anything I do at the moment. My running buddy made encouraged me to sign up for a 10k with her in June. I'm not really sure how achievable it is.

I've a group of international colleagues in for a meeting until Saturday so after squeezing in an early 30 mins of core work, I won't get anything done for the next couple of days.

Hi guys
@roonetta thanks for the checkin, I'm fine thanks. Been working hard (as opposed to hardly working) and doing not much on the old exercise.
I taught my 2nd NotBodyCombat class at the community club almost 2 weeks ago. Then week after that did a full day training course to become a Boxercise Instructor. Got almost all 9/10s on the assessment, some 8s and one 10. Bloody chuffed with that. So now I'm certified and insured to teach boxing style workouts and use the Boxercise branding.

This Sunday I'll have another workout class, not sure exactly what I'll do there, but I usually plan the class out on Saturday (+ Sunday morning)

The gym opening has been put back to 1 April, which is mixed for me. It means I can just focus 100% on preparing for my BC certification exam on 17th, and that I'll actually be a full stripes instructor when the gym reopens, rather than a probie.

But I'm really missing the gym classes, missing teaching, missing my people. so hard to be motivated at the moment without the structure of my regular class schedule.

roonetta · 03/03/2023 10:39

You're right Oubliette, exercise is much more about being strong and able than it is about aesthetics. I try and focus on that most of the time but some days I just get deflated about my perceived lack of progress after all this time. I suppose eating a whole bag of chocolate buttons doesn't help Confused

Hope work quietens down for you soon Motherforkin

Wow, sounds like you have lots of positive things going on Bez. Congratulations on the certification! StarStar. Good luck for the 17th.

Decided to try a Girvan shoulders and arms workout today for a change. Still only able to use lighter weights but it was nice to go back to her. I can already tell that my arms will feel it tomorrow.

Thanks Roonetta. I was coordinating an international group coming in for a meeting over the weekend so a lot of stress over and done with. Another, bigger one in 6 weeks though!

I managed a 30 min core thing at lunchtime and I'm in so much pain now Blush

BezMills · 07/03/2023 07:50

I taught my Bez Kickyboxy class on Sunday. I didn't really plan it too much this time, just had a list of activities and tracks for each one. A couple of my BodyCombat people came, who I'd lost touch with since the gym closed, so I was delighted about that. We have a FB group which I co-admin with the previous BC instructor, but not everybody is in the group.
I did 3 minutes glute raises on each leg, on top of a bunch of squats and some long squat holds. Ministry of funny walks yesterday. It was actually sore to sit down on the wooden dining table chair! I never learn.

OublietteBravo · 07/03/2023 19:29

I only managed 25 minutes of NTWICF test before I was overpowered by excruciating stomach cramps. Accompanying by cold sweats and shivering. It was so odd - fortunately only lasted about 15 minutes.

Feeling better today. NTWICF: warm up and rock it out, plus 30DS L2 (41 min)

Days exercised: 45/60
Time: 205/800 minutes

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 07/03/2023 20:10

That sounds awful, Oubliette, I hope you're OK.

Great that you're keeping going with the classes Bez, it sounds like you have a nice community there.

I have been scouring Instagram for something less boring than my usual go to, so did two pilates routines from there.

roonetta · 08/03/2023 13:02

Ouch that doesn't sound good Oubliette. Glad to see it was only temporary and you were back at it yesterday. Do you think it was something you had eaten? Flowers

How lucky are we that we can decide what we feel like doing on any given day and it is right at our fingertips. Which Pilates workout did you choose Motherforkin?

"Ministry of funny walks" had me laughing Bez Grin. I remember that feeling after doing any Jillian Michaels' workout, especially sitting on the toilet the day after Blush

Just time for a 20 minute 'Lift with Cee' chest and triceps workout today.

30/200 (feels like it has taken me forever to reach 30 workouts!)

I’ve no idea what caused it @roonetta. I’m glad it passed quickly and really hope it doesn’t happen again!
