Exciting times, Bez! Much empathy on the still bockety arm, Roonetta. Is it any better? I hope your ds is on the mend soon. Good to see you back Sophie. I don't know where the time is going.

I had a good swim today.

thanks everyone! I did a huge Oscars style thankyou post on our FB group, so many people have helped me do this, and it means a lot to finally get it done, after (counts on fingers) 7 months.

I'm still kind of in a rut, the gym shutdown came at a shit time. Can't go running (cold air/asthma), the sea is too cold and full of runoff to go swimming, and I so far haven't managed to summon up any oomph to JFDI with some online training.
I'm slightly miserable about that, but I know in 2 months time I'll be on my summer routine - swimming every day, running on Saturday mornings, leading BodyCombat 3 times a week. Long term, these last 7 weeks or so are just a blip.

roonetta · 22/03/2023 12:22

My arm is 90% better Motherforkin. It still aches sometimes after exercise so I still have to use the lighter weights, but it is not causing me too many problems now. If I attempt anything heavier than 3kg, it starts to play up, so I will plod on with those for now.

It's frustrating when things happen out of our control Bez but I think you have been doing amazingly with everything you have going on at the moment. Don't beat yourself up and try to focus on how awesome everything will be in the not too distant future ❤️

Made myself do a 30 minute band workout today but I really CBA Grin

I know, Roonetta, mine is the same. Unfortunately I don't think I'll ever regain full strength. It's frustrating.

Run today.

Hill walk this morning

Happy weekend everyone

Days exercised 51.

OublietteBravo · 24/03/2023 19:49

This week’s exercise really hasn’t gone well!
Tuesday: rest day (no water)Wednesday: rest day (work dinner)Thursday: rest day (exhausted from team building).

Back to it this evening (finally). NTWICF: first 3 routines, plus 1x mat work and warm-up/cool down (41 minutes).

Days exercised: 53/60
Time: 553/800 minutes

roonetta · 25/03/2023 09:33

I've been really lazy this week, so did a 50 minute band workout first thing before I could think of an excuse not to do it Grin

37/200 (I really need to get this number up!) Blush

Work is crazy busy today (heading back into more meetings for the evening shortly 😩) so I got out a lunchtime for a short swim.

Well done exercising when you don't want to, Roonetta, motivation is tough. I'm starting a 6 week trial programme at a gym tomorrow. Plan is 3 cross training classes a week, like the training I did a few years ago and is the only thing that actually gets me towards a shape other than blob.

BezMills · 27/03/2023 18:15

Good luck @MotherForkinShirtBalls !

I had another funeral on friday and overcelebrated quite a bit. It's been a very emotional few weeks and I have put on a bit of weight, sadface. I got up Saturday and just thought "eff being in this rut" and went out for a slow 5k.
I was feeling that in my legs on Sunday morning, but walked the 5k route and then sat doing my class playlist in the hotel cafe bar pub. Yomped up the road and taught my Bezacise class. I had 4 this week, which is a nice number. Towards the end I gave everyone gloves and let them do some jab-cross - I just went down the line holding pads for them in turn. Then we did Alanis for the pain endurance track.
Today I did another 5k, bit faster this time probably cos I wasn't hungover.
I lost track of my days, will need to look at me posts and backtrack.

SophieLion · 28/03/2023 05:56

Sorry to hear about the funeral and that you've been having a hard time bezmills. I hope things will improve.

I've not really done any exercise as we've had guests staying but did manage a 5km run yesterday (part of my new program) and a 10 mins abs session.

Good luck for the gym motherforkin.

I've given up counting Roonetta! But I like putting little ticks on my program when I've done the workout. I find it's harder to exercise once I get out of the routine.

BezMills · 28/03/2023 06:28

thanks @SophieLion

I just ordered some huel. I can drift easily into bad eating habits, so I'm going to try having that for one of my meals. I've gone for the high protein shake stuff (for the GAINS!) and the mexican hot food one.

Has anyone tried it before?

SophieLion · 28/03/2023 06:45

No I'd never heard of it bezmills. Just googled it.
Supplements and protein shakes etc are a whole new world to me!

BezMills · 28/03/2023 09:05

I haven't ever used supplements or protein shakes before either, so I'm interested to see how I go with Huel. I've a 3 month plan to shift a bit of weight, my knees will thank me!

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 28/03/2023 18:42

I've no idea about supplements Bez. (I exercised so I can eat more cake so I'm definitely not the one to ask Blush)

I'm going to have sore legs tomorrow after the class this morning! It was good though. I purposely didn't push myself too hard and used fairly light weights so I don't end up hobbled for the first week. Met someone I know there who joined a while ago so it's nice to have a bit of solidarity. Dh is away today so I'll also have two dog walks to add to my daily exercise total. Looking forward to seeing what my watch tells me I've done by the time I go to bed.

OublietteBravo · 28/03/2023 20:20

I did Hard Body L1 (45 mins) yesterday and Killer Body: upper body (31 mins) tonight. I’m not going to make this month’s target because last week was such a write off.

Days exercised: 55/60
Time: 629/800 minutes

roonetta · 29/03/2023 12:40

That's as good a reason as any Motherforkin! I like your style Grin. Good luck with the gym.

I don't know anything about protein shakes either. I sometimes count calories, but it usually only lasts a week or so and then I can't be bothered Blush

Sorry to hear about the funeral Bez Flowers

I'm beginning to wish I hadn't started counting Sophie. Not sure I will be making the 200 mark.

You inspired me to revisit Jillian, Oubliette. I did workout 4 of Body Revolution. Not sure this body is cut out for all the plyo stuff she does any more though Sad

I was at 15 days on 29 jan, before the gym closure. Since then I've done 5 Bezercise classes, my Boxercise instructor training, my BodyCombat exam, and two runs.
That's me at 24 days, I think.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 29/03/2023 17:03

I get you on not counting Roonetta. I had to abandon it last year as I just ended up feeling bad about myself, which is very much not what this thread is about!

I had a swim today. I'm expectedly achey after yesterday's class.

BezMills · 29/03/2023 17:17

Yes @MotherForkinShirtBalls and @roonetta I totally hear you. Measuring stuff is useful, so long as it is motivational and encouraging. If it does the opposite then it can get in the bin bin bin.
I've found in the past, that I can deal with a 6 week burst of super organisation, then generally fall off the wagon a bit. Realising that, helps me be realistic and not get too down when I run out of vava voom.
The biggest gamechanger for me, is having fixed points in the week where I have appointments. That's why I was so devo about the gym shutting: my structures were gone. I am quite sure a lot of my gym people had the same experience as me.

OublietteBravo · 29/03/2023 19:53

NTWICF - 4 of the levels, plus warm up and cool down (49 mins)

Days exercised: 56/60
Time: 678/800 minutes

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 30/03/2023 16:46

Class this morning. It was supposed to be upper body but there was a whole lot of squats going on! I had to modify things a bit and use very light weights but my shoulder held up pretty well. I'm also going to take the dog on a hilly walk while dd is at training later.

Days exercised 55

BezMills · 30/03/2023 18:48

I had a plan to run today, but the only thing I ran, was out of time.

I'm out for a post dinner walk, which will have to suffice.

SophieLion · 30/03/2023 19:13

I managed a 30 mins Iron full body dumbbell session today as part of my new program as well as the usual dog walks (I'm at around 13-15k steps a day with all the walking....)

Tomorrow is supposed to be either a HIIT or yoga - suspect it might be a yoga session
But will see how I feel.
