Really busy day (still not finished) so just a short run this morning.

Days exercised 31

SophieLion · 17/02/2023 11:57

Hello all,
I'm still working my way through Caroline girvan's Iron series (week 3 now). Totally lost track of where I am with my exercise days though. Agree with whoever said they forget if they don't post!

Also doing about 13-15k steps a day. I'm finding all this walking quite exhausting. Being a (former - maybe) runner, I always think of running as exercise and walking more for pleasure but clearly it is also good exercise.

SophieLion · 17/02/2023 11:58

And I'm not even walking that fast like motherforkin because the puppy always stops to sniff, check out another dog etc etc!

OublietteBravo · 17/02/2023 19:30

I just did a short 30 minute session this evening: Hard Body - Core. I figure it’s better than doing nothing.

Days exercised: 32/40
time: 447/700 minutes

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 17/02/2023 21:34

Swim today, I really enjoyed it.

Yes Sophie, I definitely have it un my head thst walking is for pleasure and running is work! My run yesterday was a lot shorter than the 6km fast walk earlier in the week! I walk 45-60 minutes with the dog every morning but i might as well stay in bed and eat biscuits for all the health /fitness good it does me 🤔

I'm away for the weekend. I brought my gym gear but forgot my runners 🤦🏻‍♀️

Days exercised 32

BezMills · 18/02/2023 06:07

The gym is reopening under direct management of the Landlord. I'm teaching BodyCombat on my previous schedule more or less, so I'm delighted about that!

I was at 15 before Gymageddon, and have done 8 days out of 18 of my pressups challenge (I'm only counting days I got to 100), plus one day teaching last Sunday.

So, (takes socks off to count, still can't do it) 24 days.

30 min Valentine's Day theme spin
10 min cool down spin
10 min full body stretch

OublietteBravo · 19/02/2023 18:01

I’m intrigued as to how spin can be valentine-themed @Rebellious23

Rest day yesterday. Back to Jillianing today. Hard Body (upper body). 31 minutes.

Days exercised: 33/40

I'm glad I forgot my runners at the weekend, I really needed a complete break for a couple of days.

They are great play lists Rebellious!

Hill run to wake me up this morning. It was not fun.

Rest day yesterday (parents evening got in the way). Just done a rather reluctant 30DS L2D5 & DDMix: 1960s (30 min).

Days exercised: 35/40
Time: 548/700 minutes

OublietteBravo · 23/02/2023 19:19

NTWICF: take it higher, rock it out, dance, dance, dance and take it to the May - plus warm up and cool down (38 min)

Days exercised: 36/40
Time: 586/700 minutes

Rebel2 · 23/02/2023 19:40

30 min old school hip hop ride

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 24/02/2023 17:08

Last couple of days have been a disaster, work went mad and the dog was very expensively sick. I'm absolutely wiped out and really didn't want to, but I went for a short swim at lunchtime.

TGIF.

Days exercised 35

roonetta · 24/02/2023 18:33

Sorry to hear that Motherforkin. Vet fees are extortionate. Hope he is on the mend Flowers

I know what you mean about not wanting to exercise. I have been very unmotivated but forced myself to do a 40 minute strength/cardio workout today. I always feel better for it but sometimes the thought of it is enough to put me off.

Oh dear @MotherForkinShirtBalls. I hope he recovers (without any further expenses).

I know you mean about motivation, or rather the lack thereof. I’m surprised at how much having some dance-based DVDs has helped mine. I really should have been doing something with weights this evening. But I just couldn’t face it. In the past that would have morphed into a rest day. But I merely switched DVD and got on with it.

NTWICF: ease it in, take it higher, rock it out - plus warm up and cool down (38 min)

Days exercised: 37/40
Time: 624//700 minutes

Rebel2 · 26/02/2023 13:10

30 min spin
5 min spin cool-down
10 min stretch

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 26/02/2023 14:36

Dog thankfully on the mend. Amazing recovery since all the drama on Wednesday. The vet was talking about emergency vet hospital at the local university.

I was at lectures all day yesterday and fell into bed about 5.30. Swim today. I should have gone for a run but I couldn't face it! Work is going to be mayhem again this week so I'll be hit and miss I think.

Days exercised 36.

roonetta · 26/02/2023 15:55

Good to hear your dog is better Motherforkin - they are a worry.

I aimed to do a dynamic Pilates workout today but the stupid video wouldn't play so did a 50 minute band workout with Trinny instead.

Rest day yesterday. Made myself do some resistance training today. Killer Body (lower body). And then DDMix: Arabian (38 mins).

Days exercised: 38/40
Time: 662/700 minutes

OublietteBravo · 27/02/2023 19:13

NTWICF: take it higher, rock it out, dance dance dance - plus warm up and cool down (38 min)

Days exercised: 39/40
Time: 700/700 minutes

So 35 minutes per day of exercise is definitely do-able. Might try and take that to 40 minutes in March.
