20 min spin class (called year of yes and it's about "what is your why?" For exercise)
10 min hip focused stretch

OublietteBravo · 08/02/2023 19:38

NTWICF: ease it in, dance dance dance, burn it out - plus warm up/cool down (32 min). Struggling a bit with the moves on the new levels - guess I just need more practice!

Days exercised: 25/40
Time: 186/700 minutes

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 09/02/2023 17:17

Lovely swim at lunchtime, it felt good and I feel good after it.

What does "what is your why?" mean, Rebel?

As in what is your reason why you exercise? Basically saying that you have to know WHY you want to exercise in order to do it
And to treat it like you're the CEO of your own body, you would make a plan and be efficient and determined about it

Oh, that's an interesting thought process.

Rebellious23 · 09/02/2023 17:32

I'm going to do the other rides because it was nice to have something to ponder about while I was gasping for air Grin

The best quotesstill I've heard in a ride is "you've done harder shit than ride a bike to Justin bieber"
"If Britney can survive 2007, you can survive this climb"

OublietteBravo · 09/02/2023 19:50

Back to basics this evening: 30DS L1D4 and DDMix: Hoe Down (32 min)

Days exercised: 6/20
Time: 218/700 min

OublietteBravo · 10/02/2023 19:15

I was soooo tempted to have a rest day. But I didn’t! NTWICF: ease it in, take it higher, dance dance dance - plus warm up and cool down (34 min)

Days exercised: 27/40
Time: 252/700 min

Not managed to do much this week. My cat has been very poorly and I have been backwards and forwards to the vet. Sadly I made the sad decision to have her put to sleep yesterday as they thought she had a brain tumour Sad. That meant no exercise and more chocolate for me. Will get back to it next week.

@roonetta aw that's rough, sorry about your catto.

I've had a couple of uppy-downy weeks. I'm more emotional about my gym than I thought I would be. The new mgt are not at all convinced about taking on the Les Mill classes due to cost (gyms have to pay $$ per month for each program) so that's probably my BodyCombat teaching career stymied before it really got going, as well as my Barre and Core classes gone.

I still have to do my LM BC certification because it's a no-brainer to get the ticket (which lasts forever) when I'm so close, but my heart's not really in it at the moment. I've done some pressups in my challenge, had a couple of days 'rest' due to low mood and CBFitis.

I have booked the community centre for tomorrow 10am and will teach a martial arts exercise class (can't teach BC because licensing etc). So today I'm going to do some stretching and mobility and watch some youtubes and sketch out what I'm going to teach tomorrow.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 11/02/2023 21:29

Sorry to hear about your cat, Roonetta, that's really hard. Mind yourself. Flowers And you too, Bez, it's hard that one change has such ripples through other things. Hope your class went well today.

Unlike you Oubliette, I succumbed to my laziness! I could have got something done between work and a thing I had yesterday evening but I went to bed for an hour instead! Made up for it today... 17,000 steps and a legs and core routine.

Days exercised 27.

Rebellious23 · 11/02/2023 22:05

I'm so sorry about your cat Flowers

30 min 2000s music ride

Rebellious23 · 12/02/2023 13:25

30 min spin
5 min cool down ride
10 min post ride stretch (was very much needed!)

BezMills · 12/02/2023 19:39

I taught my proprietary 'kicky punchy exercise class' today. I think it went well enough. 15 people came out on Sunday morning for it (to be fair the gym being closed means there's a lot of pent up demand for classes!).

I did a 'pain track' to finish, which is Bjork's Army Of Me ("If you complain once more, you'll meet an army of me"). It contained 40s, 60s, 80s hold in some kind of stress position (individual choice from wall squat, plank, low squat, whatever you choose).

SophieLion · 13/02/2023 15:48

I'm really sorry to hear about your cat Roonetta. Sending you hugs 💗

We used to have to do squats to sally up sally down Envy

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 13/02/2023 16:11

That sounds like a tough class Bez!

Swim at lunchtime today. I'm getting used to going a little further again which feels good.

The bad news: I’m behind on the thread
The good news: I have been exercising

I didn’t do anything over the weekend.

Yesterday I did 30DS L2D4 and DDMix: Hoe down + Irish (37 min)

I’ve just done NTWICF: ease it in, take it higher, burn it out, and take it to the mat - plus warm up and cool down (41 min)

Days exercised: 29/40
Time: 330/700 min

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 14/02/2023 20:53

If I fall behind on the thread, I forget what I've done so I have to keep posting!

Really tired today so just did a gentle stretching and core strength routine.

Days exercised 29

roonetta · 15/02/2023 12:15

Thanks for all your kind messages

Back at it today with 50 minute strength workout with Trinny/Nat.

I am the same Motherforkin - if I don't post I will not remember. I sometimes forget even when I am posting Blush. I'm blaming the menopause Grin

You are really clocking up those minutes Oubliette. Star

I did 30DS L3D4 (27 min) and then tried a Strictly Come Dancercise DVD. It was terrible! I won’t be doing it again. I’m almost embarrassed to count the 15 minutes I spent doing the warmup/cha cha cha routine as exercise. But then I figured I’d count yoga, so why not?

Days exercised: 10/20
Time: 372/700 minutes

OublietteBravo · 15/02/2023 19:30

@roonetta - I’ve discovered that counting in minutes is far preferable to counting in hours/minutes. Isn’t that odd?!

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 15/02/2023 21:57

I've managed 17k steps today. I had a long and fast 6km walk with a friend this evening. My legs are sore after it!

Days exercised 30
