Well done on the run Sophie and for reaching 200!Star 🙌

I tried the Bowlflex 3 minute plank today. I managed to do it all, although I'm not sure my form was the best and next time I'll wear trainers. Doing it bare foot was not a good idea.

Wow! 200 is very impressive @SophieLion Star

I did NMTZ (55 min). Which was weirdly easier than yesterday’s yoga attempt. Possibly because I know the exercises/sequences. Maybe I have some muscle memory.

SophieLion · 17/11/2022 07:31

Well done on not stopping in the bowflex plank Roonetta!

Yes I feel the familiar is always easier than the unknown oubliette. I practically know NMTX off by heart and imagine you do too 😆

Today did epic heat day 15 (HIIT), CG's 5 minute plank workout (with stops 😁) and a 10 min core/abs.

Well done on hitting 200 Sophie! 🥳

Today’s exercise: 4x 5 minutes flat out, interspersed by 1 km slower rows. This is the 4th time I’ve started the “power phase” of my exercise programme...and every time I’m significantly slower. Sigh! Fingers crossed the bugs stay away and I actually make it to the end this time!

SophieLion · 18/11/2022 20:49

I bet those flat out 5 mins feel like a really long time crimson. Whole thing sounds hardcore so well done (even if you're slower than you want to be).

Today did epic heat day 16 (shoulders and triceps) and 3 min plank challenge. Tomorrow will probably be a rest day.

Days exercised 202

OublietteBravo · 18/11/2022 21:15

I had an unexpected rest day yesterday. Mainly down to having no dry kit (long story). Back to it today: Ri30 L2 (34 min). I always forget that it has the evil plank jacks/mountain climber cardio circuit!

(12/20)

PeloFondo · 18/11/2022 21:38

Rest day for me too. I have another infection and a fever. If I didn't laugh I would cry

CrimsonAlligator · 18/11/2022 22:01

A short-ish session today - 6x3 minutes at a fairly fast pace. I was kept company throughout by... a tawny owl that was sitting just outside my garage window, hooting its little heart out. It was all a little surreal 🦉

Hope you feel better soon Pelo. That really sucks.

SophieLion · 20/11/2022 10:26

Oh no pelo. What bad luck. Get well soon Flowers

The owl sounds so cute crimson. Do you live in the countryside ?

We got a puppy yesterday so I think I will be adapting my exercise routine to fit around him.

Left him sleeping with the DCs and just did a 7km run, 3 min plank and an abs workout.

OublietteBravo · 20/11/2022 11:01

I got up and exercised (whilst DH & DS were out playing touch rugby). 6W6P L1 (34 min).

(13/20)

Get well soon @PeloAddict. There seem to be all sorts of things going round this year.

OublietteBravo · 21/11/2022 21:44

Ri30 L3 (31 min). Ugh - duck walks, pike push-ups, squat jacks!

(14/20)

roonetta · 21/11/2022 22:11

I just realised I haven't posted for a few days. Felt a bit under the weather at the weekend so no exercise done.

Walk to from work Thursday, Friday and today. Hoping to do a Pilates workout tomorrow.

What type of dog have you got Sophie?

20g of protein in a little chocolate pot! They look good. I have to try and eat more, I'm struggling to keep weight on now. Always been 'underweight' and never worried about it but gym seems to have sped up my metabolism even more (don't be jealous. It sounds fun at first but when you live with it every day, its not, especially as it comes with a shit-ton of anxiety, even medicated). Oh but i'm getting an indoor bike today! So I can work on cardio more at home. Not a fancy one, just a basic machine that is supposed to operate quietly. Going to gym today, even though I went yesterday, as I can only go Mon, Tues and Thurs this week. No personal best shall be forthcoming, but I'll try. Tomorrow I have to do a long train journey there and back to one of the 2 universites that employs me. I mostly work remote, but must show face every so often. A long day that is both tiring and very sedentary but hey, its a small downside to what is overall a very nice job, so needs must. If the bike comes at a reasonable hour I'll unpack it today, otherwise it will be Thursday. I hope I can find a video of how to put it together. My friend would do it (he's an engineer, it would be a piece of cake to him) but I'd have to wait till I see him next and I want to try it out.

PeloFondo · 22/11/2022 07:38

@iloveeverykindofcat they're good! Quite dark chocolate, about 135 cals and 200g serving

roonetta · 22/11/2022 13:38

I've had those chocolate puds pelo. They are yummy. I also like the yoghurt ones but Aldi quickly sell out of them so they must be popular.

Hope you manage to get the bike put together Cat.

30 minute Pilates/strength workout. I really did not feel like doing anything today so happy I made myself do it.

Well done roonetta! Starting is always the hardest, I always enjoy it way more than I think I will. School made me think I hated exercise. I actually like it very much. I just can't catch a ball.
I think I got the bike set up. A lot of the pieces were already together.

OublietteBravo · 22/11/2022 19:34

Manage to exercise between work and going out for dinner (heading out now). 6W6P L2 (33 mins). This November reset seems to be going OK.

(15/20)

SophieLion · 23/11/2022 07:52

Hope you're feeling better now Roonetta. Will PM you.

Hope you enjoy your new bike Cat and good luck with the weight gain.

Glad the November reset is working out Oubliette (pun not intended Wink)

Managed to do exercise yesterday and today (epic heat) while puppy was sleeping. I feel like I have a newborn again!!

Days exercised 205

SophieLion · 23/11/2022 08:37

Actually 206 days as thought it was Tuesday today.

iloveeverykindofcat · 23/11/2022 09:29

I knew these pulse sensors were lying to me! Never matching my perceived exertion. I could feel lije i was working so hard and still get low readings, so checked manually today by counting for 10 secs and it was well into the cardio zone. Got to take these gadgets with a pinch of salt. I have Tracktive GPS trackers on my 2 cats. I just bought them so I can locate them if they ever get lost but they've got a bunch of fitbit inspired functions designed to appeal to owners including sleep time and rest time. How can the tracker possibly know if the cat is sleeping or resting? Sometimes I don't even know.

roonetta · 23/11/2022 13:22

Good to hear your mojo is holding up Oubliette Grin. Long may it continue.

Feeling much better today thanks Sophie. I've heard puppies are like newborns; luckily they grow up a lot quicker Wink

Smiling at your cat trackers Cat. I bet it's quite interesting seeing where they have been. I often wonder where ours get to. I actually think one of ours has another home as she disappears for days at a time and then returns looking freshly groomed Confused

30 minute tough Pilates workout today

I did Hard Body L2 tonight. Ooof - that was a difficult 48 min!

(16/20)

iloveeverykindofcat · 24/11/2022 07:26

@roonetta yeah they were a good buy, not cheap but the company will replace for free if they get lost. Each cat has a slightly different territory but neither goes very far, mostly neighbours. @OublietteBravo Congrats! Do you get a certificate? I looked it up on YouTube, looks hard. I could do some of it but not all. The kettlebell squats would end me for sure. I did a 15 min Caroline Girvan core video yesterday before I went out. Well, kind of did. Tried. Watched, and attempted to imitate. Her abs are incredible.

SophieLion · 24/11/2022 13:24

Epic heat day 20 (Tabatha HIIT which I kind of like but also exhausted me) plus a girvan abs workout.
