It does make you feel better. Yesterday before I worked out I was wondering why everyone was annoying.
After I worked out I was forced to concede that everyone is annoying the problem is in fact me.

@SophieLion - I’m just about feeling good about exercising. Still a bit achy at the moment as I’m not fully conditioned to it yet!

Rest day yesterday. Back to exercise DVDs today. I did Hard Body level 1
(45 min). Which I haven’t done very often, but which is fine if you’ve done enough Jillian workouts to know her moves (as she does a lot of combination moves).

I'm going to have to give running another go. Either that or find some YouTube videos for steady state cardio one can do at home. My gym time is necessarily taken up by the weights I don't have at home. Today is a rest day anyway.

I feel your pain with running, Cat. Every time I start again I find c25k good but it's keeping up the habit where I fail.

It wasn't so bad. I mean I power walked a fair bit but into the wind so still getting my heart in the cardio zone. I don't have a FitBit but I just got a Huwaii band free with Amazon vouchers. It's quite fun an unexpectedly links to my Spotify account though I think all it can do is skip tracks.

I've had a look at the 3 minute bowlplex plank Sophie and have no doubt I would not be able to do 1 minute of it, let alone 3!

Walk to/from work Thursday and Friday
Nothing yesterday partly due to the fact that the back of DS's head met my nose with some force. Not sure it's broken but it did look like I'd done a couple of rounds in the ring Grin. Is slightly less swollen today so managed to do a 50 minute Pilates workout. Bloody kids...

30 min hip hop ride done. Tough but I got a PR, I wanted to get 200 output for 30 mins and I got 199 (slightly sulking) Grin

Today we did the 5km run which was part of the Athens Marathon. It was really fun.

You should try the bowflex oubliette. You can take breaks and build up to the 3 mins. Hope you nose is ok and not broken.

Forgot to say oubliette that it was another MNer who recommended the 3 min plank. She says she does it every day and it's transformed her core (with some other abs workouts). I'm trying!!

I'm on a 30 second plank. It's a proper plank though! Will try for 40 tomorrow.

I was lazy over the weekend. So I made myself exercise today before I got out of the habit. KB&T L2 (42 min)

I’m still trying to get back into the habit of exercising regularly, after being ill for most of October. I managed a 3x 10 minute fast paced row today and did 40 minute yesterday. It all feels very hard going, but hopefully if I stick with it, I’ll soon become a bit easier.

I hope your nose is ok @roonetta . That sounds painful 😬 I have no idea how long I could do a plank for. May be I should try?! Three minutes definitely sounds long (and painful!)

Ouch for your nose, Roonetta! I hope it's back to normal soon. Ds went though a run of headbutting me when he was about 18 months old.I had to take him to the gp twice in about 6 weeks (for him, not me) and happened to have black eyes both times. I had to reassure her it was the 18 month old hitting me and not dh Blush

Very long day today, I'm finally finished work. Luckily I got a short swim at lunchtime so I've flopped into bed.

Ha sorry Roonetta. So it's your nose that got injured. How is your nose now?

As for the plank challenge, it's broken up into 30 second intervals. Two of these are a traditional plank. 1 minute is side plank (30 secs each side) and then the other minute is lifting legs. The guy is quite encouraging and you can take breaks of course. Give it a try!!! It's tough but good core exercise.

Yoga Inferno Level 1 (30 min). I don’t think I know enough yoga to do this really. I have to keep stopping to work out what position I should be in.

Today a 10km outdoor run. Was running with a friend who kept encouraging me just to run that little bit further. I would have stopped at 5 or 7km! Feeling proud of myself now.
