I like the sound of a Tabatha HIIT Sophie - sounds more gentle Grin

Walk to/from work Thursday and a 50 minute Pilates/strength workout today.

Yes unfortunately mine was a tabata HIIT and not a Tabatha one Roonetta 😆 what do you reckon Caroline is working on? It's been months since she did anything new. A fitness app? Can't think what else.

Weekend was exercise free and today epic heat day 21 (glutes), bowflex 3 min plank and a 10 min girvan abs workout.

I took some rest days over the weekend. Back to it tonight: Ri30 L4 (30 min).

A simple home bike was a good investment. Definitely helps to squeeze in a quick bit of cardio here and there. I wfh mostly so my job is very sedentary. Its quite sobering how sedentary it would be physically possible for me to be in modern life - wfh, order almost anything I need online, the vast majority of errands done on phone. On the weekends is much easier to be naturally active but that's a minority of the time. No wonder my back was shit really.

SophieLion · 29/11/2022 15:58

That's so true Cat. We really can do everything from our desk/sofa/home now. Which means it's even more important for all of us to make the effort to exercise. Glad the bike is working out for you.

Managed to do epic heat day 22 (upper body supersets) today with many interruptions from the puppy so half an hour exercise took about two hours. Felt quite an achievement when it was finally finished.

I did the first two levels of Kick Box Fast Fix (40 min), but couldn’t face the third level. Another day…

OublietteBravo · 29/11/2022 18:56

Oh. I’m a day out because I forgot to post last Thursday. When I did KB&T L3. So I’m actually on 19 days and on track.

iloveeverykindofcat · 30/11/2022 06:08

Great job everyone. Consistency is king and all that. Sometimes it's hard to see changes in yourself because its so slow, and you see yourself everyday, but the other day I took a progress pic and compared it to six months ago and that is a definite difference. Including my posture! I didn't realize I slumped so much.

Anyway I'll hit the gym first thing. Today is a strike day for university staff, dreading those deductions but it must be so. I don't know how good I'll be, I've been awake for hours just thinking about stuff. Nothing bad, or unusually stressful, just brain busy.

roonetta · 30/11/2022 12:48

I think you're right Sophie that Caroline is working on an app. I wonder if it will still be free? Going by the quality of her YouTube videos, I imagine it will be awesome.

Walk to/from work Monday and a 40 minute strength/cardio workout today (I did the Instagram workout with Trinny Woodall and Natalie Hayward). I have been doing Natalie's Pilates/strength workouts and am enjoying them.

I find trinny hilarious Roonetta. A friend told me to follow her on instagram (I follow very few people) and I really love how positive and happy and totally nutty she is!! I've seen she does workouts but never actually watched past the first 5 mins.

Today epic heat day 23 (lower body supersets) and the 3 min plank.

OublietteBravo · 30/11/2022 19:32

Kick Box Fastfix level 3 and 30DS L1 (47 min). I don’t think I could’ve done that combination at the start of the month. It’s good to be back to exercising properly!

iloveeverykindofcat · 01/12/2022 05:34

I now have one (1) Caroline Girvan element in my routine: a quick ab workout for non-gym days. Anyone who gets through her longer HIIT/dumbell classes has my full respect.

Back's playing up the past few days, I've slept wrong. In the new year I probably have to bite the bullet and get a new mattress.

SophieLion · 01/12/2022 19:45

Epic heat day 24 (full body complexes - last one was 3 mins of makers. Not pleasant at all).

Glad you've found your exercise mojo again Oubliette.
Hope your back pain goes away cat 💐

OublietteBravo · 02/12/2022 18:24

I did 30DS L2 last night (27 min). Having a rest day today, because my thighs are sore from the squats/v-rises. I swear this workout is my nemesis!

(1/20)

SophieLion · 03/12/2022 09:53

Rest day yesterday and just done a 5km outdoor run.

Days exercised 213

SophieLion · 04/12/2022 08:23

Epic heat day 25 EMOM HIIT. I think I might have got a bit fitter as I don't think I had to modify and reduce reps quite as much as last time I did this workout (although EMOM is still sooooo tough and exhausting) plus a 10 mins abs workout.

Days exercised 214

PeloFondo · 04/12/2022 12:41

I've had way too long off with ongoing kidney infections so I'm attempting a 30 min ride today

roonetta · 05/12/2022 06:21

I find Trinny hilarious too Sophie. She wanders off in the middle of an exercise and mostly never does the exercise correctly. I think Natalie has given up correcting her now and just carries on regardless. The workouts are good though. You are storming through your exercise at the moment, no wonder you have got fitter. Well done! Star

Always hated the squat with v raise move Oubliette, no matter how light I went with the weights.

Glad you are feeling better Pelo.

I have struggled to do anything other than my walks to/from work. The days are getting busy. I must try and get at least two proper workouts in this week.

Walk to/from work Thursday and Friday

No spectacular victories here but keeping it consistent, can lift a little more weight than when I started my gym program. Oh my God I'm so glad I got the bike though. Temperatures have plummetted, it would be miserable running in this at 7am.

OublietteBravo · 05/12/2022 18:50

I definitely wouldn’t go out running in today’s weather (dark and cold and raining). I’m pathetic enough about running in good weather!

I finally found some motivation after being pathetic all weekend. 30DS L3 (27 min).

(2/20)

PeloFondo · 05/12/2022 19:20

30 min endurance ride done

SophieLion · 06/12/2022 07:53

Epic heat day 26 (posterior chain) and the bowflex 3 min plank challenge.

Caroline Girvan is made out of steel. Her 3 point tap plank thing nearly ended me . I did a short ab workout and 30mins on the bike, which I needed to as otherwise just been around the flat WFH today. There is an errand I should go to but its too cold, I'm procrastinating. (Like its going to get warmer or something).
