Another yoga session done (I’m doing Adriene’s 30-day programme from January this year). I’m not sure it really ought to count but I’m telling myself something is better than nothing, and I seem to have lost all motivation to do anything tougher at the moment. I’m tired, work is miserable and the train strikes have messed up our holiday in Cornwall.

Sorry about your arm, roonetta. Hope it eases soon.

Barre is hard. I have a DVD called Ballet Beautiful- each session is only a few minutes but it’s agony!

Days exercised 109.

SophieLion · 29/07/2022 08:26

I had a look at those exercises pelo and a lot look pilates based which is really tough. But between my DOMS and bad knee, can't face trying them!!!

Must be a bit frustrating that they don't know what's wrong with your arm Roonetta. Fingers crossed the exercises help. Get better soon 💐

Really sorry to hear about your holiday professor. Will you not be able to go at all now?

My bad knee started really hurting yesterday evening (could only Think maybe from the based squats yesterday?) so didn't do fuel day as was supposed to be full body. Did bicep blowout and braced abs from no repeat week.

ILikeHotWaterBottles · 29/07/2022 09:36

Hope everyone gets better with their injuries.

I went to the gym last night too so clearly I didn't do any of the Barre exercises right, I'll try again today. I did manage to beat all of my records at the gym, I keep track to make progress. Did a mile on the treadmill in 14 mins, 600 strides on the cross trainer in under 5 mins and 5 miles on the bike in 15 mins. I did A LOT of stretching afterwards so that I didn't feel any pain today, shockingly it worked thank God.

PeloAddict · 29/07/2022 10:04

Stretching definitely works, if only it wasn't so tedious GrinBlush
I try and do a stretch class most days from the app

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 29/07/2022 23:47

Really vicious yoga session done (core focus).

Well done’ HotWaterBottles! That’s impressive. Especially the stretching, I know I ought to do more but I have no patience.

Sorry about your knee, Sophie. Hope it’s better soon. We’ll still go to Cornwall but ironically I bought the train tickets to save us the stress and hassle of driving, especially as I’ll be on a night flight home from the US immediately before we go. Hey ho.

Days exercised 110.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 30/07/2022 09:29

Yoga Inferno workout 1 done. Ugh.

Days exercised 111.

SophieLion · 30/07/2022 12:25

Fuel day 29. Full body. One more day to go.

Days exercised 139

PeloAddict · 30/07/2022 14:36

30 min hip hop ride done
I'm trying to break an output of 200 for a 30 min ride, today was a new PR but still... 197 Angry so close!

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 30/07/2022 17:27

So close Pelo! No doubt you'll make it soon. Hope your knee and wrist are improving, Sophie and Roonetta. Have you left for Cornwall yet, Professor? Hope the journey isn't too stressful.

Swim today.

roonetta · 30/07/2022 17:43

Went away with my sister for the overnight stay in Bath which was cancelled a few weeks ago. Managed to clock up 13,000 steps so I am counting that Grin. Got home to the horrible news that a fox had killed all of our chickens overnight. Selfishly I'm glad I wasn't there but it has upset DH who tried but failed to save them Sad

Hope your journey to Cornwall goes well Professor.

Wrist/arm is marginally better I think. I am definitely taking less painkillers which I will take as a good sign.

Days exercised 116

roonetta · 30/07/2022 17:43

I'm sorry to hear about your knee Sophie. Hope it gets better soon Flowers

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 30/07/2022 18:14

Trip to Cornwall isn’t till 13th - I thought we were OK and could just come home a day early to dodge the RMT strike on 20th, then Aslef announced theirs on 13th. Can’t go early as my flight from the States doesn’t even land till the morning of 13th.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 31/07/2022 11:09

Yoga Inferno workout 2 done. Felt very stiff and sluggish today.

Days exercised 112.

SophieLion · 31/07/2022 11:11

Sounds like you'll make it to 200 very soon pelo!

Sorry to hear about your poor chickens roonetta. Did you have a lot? And glad the arm is feeling a bit better.

Almost at 100 MotherForkin!!!

Sounds like the train strikes have messed up your plans professor. But hopefully it will be ok if you drive. We've generally found it ok when we go from london. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Day 30 of fuel today - HIIT. DD did it with me and I also borrowed her Apple Watch to track my steps (which I don't normally do but might start). I think the 30 min HIIT was about 1500 steps. Does that sound reasonable?

Anyway finished Fuel now!

Days exercised 140

PeloAddict · 31/07/2022 11:19

Did my weekly injection last night and it's a rough one so not sure what I will do today
(I get a fever, headache, bone pain for 12-48hrs)

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 31/07/2022 12:55

100! Finally! Wasn't sure I'd get here at all this year. I did a hard spin class this morning, my legs are like lead now.

Hope you're feeling OK Pelo.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 01/08/2022 10:01

Another 45 minute spin class. I don't know how you do them so often, Pelo, I'm nearly dead!

Days exercised 101

SophieLion · 01/08/2022 15:47

Well done on 100 MotherForkin! 🎉

Hope you're ok after the injection pelo.

5km interval run and a short abs workout from the No Repeat week. The run wrecked me. Very out of shape for running.

Days exercised 141

SophieLion · 02/08/2022 09:01

Chest and shoulders workout with triceps add-on from No Repeat week.

Days exercised 142

roonetta · 02/08/2022 13:06

Well done on reaching 100 Motherforkin! Star

1500 steps sound good for HIIT Sophie. I like wearing my tracker, it's like confirmation I've done something Grin

We only had 3 chickens Sophie so it didn't take the fox very long to do it's work. We had them for about 7 years so it seems like part of the family has gone Sad

Walk to/from work Monday which is an extra 5 minutes longer each way due to a bridge being closed for the next 10 weeks. More steps for me.

Did a Pilates workout today with some really light weights. It was harder than it looked.

Days exercised 118

SophieLion · 03/08/2022 10:06

Thanks re the steps roonetta. I think I might buy some sort of tracker as it was quite interesting and useful. And sorry again about your poor chickens.

20 min glutes and hamstrings workout from the No Repeat Week plus a 5km interval run.

Days exercised 143

roonetta · 03/08/2022 13:24

Well done on completing Fuel Sophie! I am really missing her workouts, but my favourite are the upper body ones which I can't do yet so I seem to be avoiding all of them Confused. I don't think I've seen the No Repeat Week. I love a no repeat workout.

2 mile WWL done ✅

Days exercised 119

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 03/08/2022 19:19

Thanks ladies, delighted to actually get over 100!

I was at the physio yesterday and she said I don't have to go any more - whoop whoop! She did sternly remind me that I have to be more consistent with my exercises but as long as I am, I should just improve from here. Fingers crossed, it's been a long 18 months.

I did an ass and abs class this evening. I wasn't sure I'd survive it.

Days exercised 102

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 03/08/2022 23:52
