Hello 👋 we're flying back to athens today. Done quite a bit of walking but no "proper" exercise so looking forward to getting back into it.

Safe travels Sophie. I had hoped to hit 100 while on holidays but I've had a viral sinus thing for the last few days which has wiped me out. We'll be travelling Tues and Weds so I'll hopefully get some proper exercise on Thursday.

Welcome back Sophie Smile. My arm/wrist is not good. Another appointment with the osteopath on Wednesday, but it's not any easier at the moment, especially at night. I have been really slacking but managed a 2 mile WWL today.

Fuel day 27 (shoulders, chest and triceps) and a 10 mins girvan abs workout. Still feeling really unfit. All my leg muscles hurt from yesterday. Struggling to sit down!

Been to the pt again and I am getting better, can do exercises I couldn't do before. I weigh a little less, lost just over 2kg in about 5 weeks, wish it was a bit more but oh well.

Trying to do more stretching as I am struggling with horse riding, but I guess that will come with time. Right now my hips feel so inflexible, will just keep trying. Anyone got any good flexibility apps for extremely inflexible people? 😂

Those DOMS are a killer when you've had a break aren't they? I always found sitting on the toilet challenging. Hope they don't hang around for long Sophie Wink

2kgs in 5 weeks sound perfect Waterbottles. Slow and steady wins the race. I don't know of any specific apps for flexibility but there are lots of videos on YouTube for improving hip flexibility. I would imagine some yoga might help too.

Here is the vile 10 min barre exercise if anyone wants a go!
You do it all on one side lying down, the turn over and do the other side
NOT FUN GrinBlush I do each exercise until I go ouch

Yeah tried yoga roonetta, but think it wasn't a very good app. Will try and find a better one. They were trying to make me stand upright and stretch my leg out to the side at a 90degree angle, holding it up with my hand. And that was for a beginner! 😂The only two yoga poses I managed was standing upright and laying flat on my back. The rest I couldn't do. 😂

Well, while I was away on holiday I managed 4 good sessions of yoga, so I’m counting those. Hoping to get into a better rhythm now I’m back home.

Hi hotwaterbottles, you could try Yoga with Tim - he has beginners stuff and I think hip flexibility videos and he explains things really well. I also like Cat Meffan - she has beginners also but not sure how much. Lots of people like Adrienne too. Good luck - hope they help.

I'm still feeling so sore Roonetta. Can't believe a 10 day break caused me to go backwards so much. Not even sure I'll be able to exercise today. Will see how I feel later.

Hope you managed to get some exercise in Sophie.

I did a Yoga with Adrienne myself this morning to see if I can loosen up the muscles in my shoulder, arm and wrist. I have a sneaking suspicion that all the pain is coming from my neck/shoulder and radiating downwards.

Also did a 3 mile WWL. Off to the osteopath in a bit.

Oh my god I just tried those exercises, ow! 😂i don't think I'm even doing them right, especially 4. If you have to raise your whole leg at the point, I can't even do it! Just been essentially bending my knee as that's all I can do. 😂right leg struggled most as that was the really badly damaged joint with breaking it and my pelvis so knew that would happen, but I did manage through much swearing. I only did 10 of each other than the 15 seconds though, I'll build up eventually.

No 4 is lying on your side, lift your top leg up straight so like a leg lift then rotate your leg forward so your foot is pointing down as much as possible

Well done for giving it a go Pelo and Waterbottles! It sounds horrendous!

Osteopath is a bit baffled and can't really work out what is causing the pain. She did say some of the small bones in my wrist are impacted (although she said that both wrists were showing this) but it could also be a pinched nerve in my shoulder or neck causing the pain to radiate down my arm. She gave me some treatment and taped up my wrist and arm to give it some stability. She gave me some exercises to do and I have to go back again in 3 weeks. Fingers crossed she can sort it. It did feel a bit easier this morning.

How are your legs feeling Sophie?

That's frustrating, Roonetta, to not know what damage is done. I hope the supports and exercises work for you.

2kg is great, well done, waterbottles.

Those barre exercises are killers! I did a very hard 45 minute spin class this evening. Waaaay to much good food and wine in the last two weeks. Oh well, back on the wagon.
