Last thread is nearly full so here is a new one.
All runners are welcome, regardless of age, experience, speed, distance etc. Just join in and chat about all things running.
The numbers in bold at the bottom of posts are the total we have run together that month, so just add your numbers as you go.

I’ll maybe look that one up. I think being slow might be a bonus in a 24 hour race as you have to do fewer miles!

I like the idea of an ultra but not sure about the reality.

Tired run yesterday evening but was nice once I got going.
I don’t know what the running total is as it’s on the other page and I forgot to look Grin

Well done indeed @Theonlyoneiknow, that does not sound fun!
Tempo run this morning, bloody wind seemed to always be in my face even though it was an out & back route! So it felt hard but glad I did it and managed an ok pace

71/2 miles this morning, slower than usual as it was icy with some snow underfoot. The only bonus was I didn’t overheat!

Speedy 41/2 miles along the cycle path this morning, it’s the one route I do that I can do in under 9 minute miles. There is a very local 10km which I think I will enter. I have never run 10km race and think I will do that rather than the 1/2 marathon.

That is speedy! I run in km so I think my pace is faster than it really is - I feel so slow when I convert to miles! Grin

Results are finally in and I’m slightly in shock. I came 13th out of 131 (well 16th but it was county champs as well, so some people weren’t eligible for the normal league). Not only did I make the A team but the team won division 1 (they normally win but I thought I would drag their score down).

Me too @IRun4Me! I was lucky to miss most of the snow showers - was glad I stayed low and in the woods even though there’s so many trees in the way.
