6 miles this morning with my new leggings and running jacket, both felt very comfortable. It was good to get out and clear my head.

Sorry slipped off with all the Christmas excitement. Hope everyone had a good one.
Amaura I hope you still managed to have a good Christmas and recover quickly and can get back out as soon as allowed.
Hope everyone got lots of lovely running gear in their stocking. Grin
I managed to meet my yearly goal so am really pleased as it was a bit touch and go at the end. I’ll work out my mileage since my last post and add it on.

Always nice to have new running gear! I g2 bamboo tops from Bam clothing and am very pleased with them, they’ve both been tested and are great.
Steady run this morning, hoping to get to 1000 miles for the year- I never set a mileage goal but had a look last week and saw how close it was so decided to give it a go. Need 5.2 more miles this week to make it. It would help if the weather was nicer, it’s relentlessly grey here just now!

Finally some sun! Mild enough for shorts and t shirt too. Made it to 1000 miles, but if a slog today but good to get out.

Well done on the 1000 miles emummy great achievement. Well done IRun4Me on achieving your target.

Sociable mild beach run with a friend yesterday. Set out this morning in the drizzle and then got caught in a very heavy downpour on the steepest part of the hill. Bizarrely the water I was running through was warm! Once I was home I was like a drowned rat, the huge slice of Christmas cake did taste delicious.

Happy New Year to everyone.

A well earned piece of Christmas cake @Doublethecuddles!
Steady run this morning, slightly hungover! Started in sunshine and ended in drizzle but not too cold. Happy New Year everyone!

My first run of the year. Very mild and breezy.

I’m out of isolation finally. Definitely not fully better yet, did parkrun yesterday at 3 mins slower speed and am sore today 😮.

Thinking of having another go at red in January, and move my annual target to a Jan-Jan one. However my additional miles yesterday had to be run at 11-12 min/miles so may just need to listen to my body more.

emummy · 02/01/2022 09:40

Glad you’re out again @Amaura. If you did the Red as exercise every day rather than running that might be better? Then some days could be a walk or cycle, not so hard on you until you’re recovered. Definitely sounds like you are not yet fully recovered so patience is needed!

First 5 miles of the year and got soaked. Looking forward to lighter mornings again.

Beautiful morning here, light dusting of snow, freezing cold, blue sky. Not slippy so a really enjoyable short run along the river.

emummy looks idyllic.
Chatty 5 mile beach run, cold but lovely and crisp. Glad I went out early as I spent 1 1/2 hours with DC queueing for Covid 19 vaccine.

Happy new year all, managed to get out yesterday to running club - happy to report all my crazy strava work paid off as joint first female at the end of the year. Then I had a fast run with the new group I've been joining - the pace is good for me but pretty hard work! And back home for Yoga with Adriene.

Well done UnaOfStormhold that’s a great achievement.

Lovely 6 mile run yesterday and was frustrated that Strava only recorded 1/2 of it. 7 1/2 miles this morning, a bit chilly but just got home before the sleet started.

Well done @UnaOfStormhold!

Too icy to run this morning so went after work. Lucky to catch a break in the weather so just cold and a bit breezy.

Icy run this morning, so a bit slower than hoped. Have signed up for Edinburgh Half Marathon as something to work towards.

emummy · 09/01/2022 11:39

Yes the ice is a challenge just now! Beautiful freezing run through the woods this morning, should have got up earlier, there were tones of people. Still a good excuse to stop & catch my breath!
Good luck with the Edinburgh half @Doublethecuddles, have you done it before? I’ve signed up for my first race, the Mull of Kintyre half. It’s at the end of May so probably about the same time. Also looking at a new local trail 10k in April, waiting till I get paid though!

emummy I have done Edinburgh once before and it had a great atmosphere. I have only done 2 races as I haven’t been running for that long. I was the girl at school how hated cross country! Good luck with the Mull of Kintyre.
Icy 5 miles yesterday and a much warmer 8 miles today.

emummy · 13/01/2022 07:44

Edinburgh was my first half in 2015, I really enjoyed it.
Nice steady run this morning, going to work from home the next few days so feeling more relaxed today. No ice this time, so that helped!
