Back on 30 day shred after years of phoning it in at the gym. Just stepped up to level 2. It’s so hard 😭😭

And yes, if she can do it, anyone can
I suspect Natalie is thinking BITCH in her head

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2020 20:40

If you want a 20inute workout that delivers results you don't stop, you can't rest
Five mins later
... Aaaand reat

Bowbeller · 26/04/2020 21:05

There’s a bit in one of them, can’t remember which where she announces ‘Donkey kicks’ and I always think she’s saying ‘don’t eat cakes’

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2020 21:42

I always think it sounds like she's saying 'big in'
(begin)

Rollergirl11 · 26/04/2020 23:22

“I wanna bounce a quarter off your butt”

“Hey abs, welcome to my parteeee!”

Bowbeller · 26/04/2020 23:24

‘Your neck is not invited to this party’

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 27/04/2020 12:04

I have to say her idea of a party is not mine...

L3 done this morning. Those jumping lunges are a killer, but otherwise I think it’s easier than L2.

Kangourou · 27/04/2020 13:58

Those jumping lunges are a killer, but otherwise I think it’s easier than L2.

I have read this on MN a few times and it just goes to show how everyone is different
and our strengths vary because I think L3 is a lot harder!

The last circuit in L2 is exhausting but doable, whereas I'm halfway through 3 now and still can't do the full thing without taking a few seconds out here and there. The scissor crunches I find I have to stop halfway through because my lower back hurts. I can't do the sit-ups without wedging my feet under a piece of furniture. The travelling press-ups are much much harder than the walking ones from L2. And jumping lunges are indeed hell. Think I'll be on L3 for longer than the intended 10 days...

Todayisanewday75 · 27/04/2020 17:02

L2D1 today and it really was a step up from L1. Nothing I found impossible but I actively dislike squat thrusts and although the chair sits start out feeling easy the minute seems to last forever.

CalmConfident · 28/04/2020 07:39

L1 D2 done Halo

Missed yesterday as did a long bike ride.

Definitely sports bra, PJs and trainers is the way to go I think. Feel I have started my day with a positive mindset

FauxFox · 28/04/2020 09:07

L3 day 1 done - some is easier than L2 but the walking push ups, jumping lunges and rock stars kill me - soooo sweaty 🤣

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 28/04/2020 11:13

L3 D2 done. I don’t do the rock stars properly, my knees can’t take it and DD and I are exercising on a hard floor.

ShowOfHands · 28/04/2020 11:25

@screamer1 you asked if this is the hardest HIIT. No way! It's not even Jillian's hardest.

Are you looking for something harder as I can make recommendations? 30 Day Shred is a v good all over beginner with excellent progression and suitable challenge.

screamer1 · 28/04/2020 11:32

Yes please @ShowOfHands

StraightAndNarrow · 28/04/2020 13:24

L1 D3 done this morning. I’m so unfit!
Really trying to keep up and not ‘phone it in’ (whatever the fuck that means? I is old)...Grin

Determined to get to L2, which I’ve never managed previously. I want abs like Natalie’s....but I’ll settle for not getting out of breath going up and down my stairs Grin.

CalmConfident · 29/04/2020 07:34

L1 D3 done ✅

Calledyoulastnightfromglasgow · 29/04/2020 09:22

Ripped in 30 level 4 yesterday. I ended up in a sweaty heap!

How often are you working out? I am also a cyclist so not doing JM on my cycling days as too much. Even if I’m only cycling an hour!

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 29/04/2020 09:36

30DS L3 D3 done here. We're doing it every week day before I start the day's work, and awarding ourselves weekends off. I'm also doing Yoga with Adriene in the evenings, but no other real exercise.

Todayisanewday75 · 30/04/2020 07:50

I’m doing it Monday to Friday followed by my normal workouts. Saturday I do another normal workout and Sunday yoga with Adriene or nothing.

Todayisanewday75 · 30/04/2020 07:52

screamer1 it’s not the hardest HIIT but weirdly I found last time that doing it for the whole 30 days seemed just as effective as harder workouts. Also the difficulty varies massively depending on your intensity and your weights

CalmConfident · 30/04/2020 08:16

L1 D4 done ✅

I am trying to do it in morning before work calls start at 8.30. Struggling to get a bike ride in on those days - I ride at weekend mostly. Will try to keep up shred too..I am so non flexible though - those stretches at the end I can barely reach my knees Blush

Candlesonthetable · 30/04/2020 08:34

I have just finished level 1 for the first time, despite having the DVD for 4 years! Am feeling proud of myself, but dreading level 2. It took 4 days of L1 not to ache all day afterwards, and am not looking forward to going back into that with L2.

My friend texts every morning to ask if I have shredded yet Grin which keeps me motivated!

FauxFox · 30/04/2020 08:56

I need to go and do day 3 level 3 now... I think I accidentally invited my neck to the party because it is quite sore this morning Hmm

AvoidingTheWineAisle · 30/04/2020 10:43

L1 Day 4 done! Had a day off yesterday and did yoga instead.

I had to ‘hang in there and fight for it!’ this morning Grin

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 30/04/2020 11:21

L3D4 done here. DD was very inclined to phone it in today!
