Back on 30 day shred after years of phoning it in at the gym. Just stepped up to level 2. It’s so hard 😭😭

Great to hear about the half marathon @TinyHouseFan - is that an organised event or just you and your neighbour? Christmas Eve sounds like a nice day to do it Smile

Ah, Cardigans, don't worry too much about the hangover, we've all done it- I just hope one day I'll learn not to keep doing it! Some day...

It is inspiring that you did a half marathon and I was kicking around a few ideas to get a six week plan and then I saw your post and voila! Take the credit (if I manage to do it now.. Wink)

Just me and my neighbour.. She has a 10 month old so her time is a bit more stretched, (we both have a 6 and 8 year old too.) but we both want to get fitter. There's also a small concern about covid and being as healthy as I can for the next few years.

WO12 done today, one week left..

WO8 30DS L1. Also did 30 minutes resistance workout afterwards (legs).

Had a look but neither RI30 or BR are available to buy on prime and I don't have a DVD player in the room where I workout...  so I may have to move on to something different after 30DS.

Got a while to think about it though, got to get through the next 3 weeks yet Grin

Planning 5km run and Level 2 tomorrow.

@AlgonquinBay - You can get most of Jillian’s workouts including ri30 and Body Rev on a website called Bilibili.com which is the Chinese version of YouTube. The writing is all in Chinese but if you click in the search bar you can type in ‘Jillian Michaels’ and all her workouts appear. Hope this helps Smile

Cor, you are a warrior Oubliette! NMTZ is one of the hardest workouts I've ever done (apart from Fitness Blender's 1,000 calorie workouts - they are beastly!).

You'll smash that half marathon Tiny. Great that you have a running partner - you will spur each other on!

I'm also doing Level 2 tomorrow, Algonquin so we can suffer together! Hoping to get a decent brisk walk in too, but the weather forecast is pants and I hate walking in rain (I wear specs). Too busy to do much exercise today, so just...

Morning all, good to see you all up and at 'em already.
Cardigans, I shudder to think what on earth a "1000 calorie" workout would be like. I can easily imagine a 1000 calorie meal though but burning that up must be insane. Have you done many?

Algonequin, what's your 5km time?
I did a virtual race with my work and a sponsored trainer on Zoom this morning and managed to knock a couple of minutes off my time and did this morning's run in 26.59. I've never been faster than 28 minutes before so I'm delighted.

That's a great time @TinyHouseFan - I do find that in a race situation you always run faster!

Just checked and my time this morning was 27:02 which is quite fast for me at the moment. I usually do it in around 28/29 mins but I've noticed I'm getting faster now I've lost a bit of weight and am doing regular resistance training. My best ever parkrun was 25:40 I think, but that was a few years ago now and I doubt I'll ever beat it Grin

Yes a 1000 calorie workout sounds insane!

According to my Apple Watch I burned 199 cals doing Jillian this morning, so it would be equivalent to jillianing 5 times in a row ShockShock

I haven’t done NMTZ for a while now Oubliette - one of my favourites but bloody hard work (I would do it too to avoid L3) 🙂

Morning all, how are all the 30DS shredders getting on? I'm starting my last week of BR tomorrow morning.. Wish me luck!
10km done this morning in my efforts towards a half marathon. I think I could have done another 2-3 km but I really don't know how I'll ever manage 21km, especially not in 6 weeks! Shock

G'day lovely ladies! Hope you're all having a super weekend. Good luck for your last week of BR, Tiny and well done on the 10K today. Don't stress about running all of the 21k when the time comes - there's no shame in walking some of the way. But I have every confidence in you!

The Fitness Blender 1,000 calorie workouts are tough, but I'm not sure I personally burn that amount of calories doing them! It all depends on your height/weight/gender/body fat and how hard you go at it (and how heavy you lift if weights are involved) so some people will burn a lot less than 1,000 and some may well burn more. They usually last about 90 minutes and I'm literally dripping with sweat at the end of them. I've done 3 or 4 this year. If you want to try one out, here's the most recent one I did:

Good luck on your last week of BR Tiny Smile. Just from your posts on here I get the sense that you are very determined when you put your mind to something and I have no doubt that you will smash the half marathon.

Wow cardigans you are going for it! Love that you hoopla hoop while watching the TV, I am hopeless at hoopla hooping and can’t keep it up.

I use a weighted hula hoop (Mirafit - cheap as chips on Amazon) and it's much easier to use than a 'normal' one. It's strangely relaxing (a bit like having a midriff massage) and I invariably do it while I'm watching cookery programmes. I have no idea why this is... 🤪

What's the difference between Ri30 and BFBM, Oubliette? Are they similar workouts, similar times or is one much harder than the other?

I'm taking a day off work today to donate blood and also to just relax a bit. Did WO 11 this morning.. but swapped the scorpion push ups for plain old regular push ups.

Skipped yesterday as I was still aching from Saturday but did a 4 mile walk instead.

Well done for donating blood Tiny - I have made two appointments to do so recently but they keep cancelling me at the last minute because of staff shortages. You have reminded me to re-book. Smile

I'm not taking much credit for donating blood, this was only my 4th time after being too scared for the last 20 years... It's all fine except for 20 seconds right at the start but I'm still terrified. A close friend had cancer last year and needed gallons of transfusions so that finally kicked me into doing it.

@TinyHouseFan - BFBM is longer than Ri30, but doesn’t involve any weights. It’s predominantly cardio with a little bit of abs.
