Back on 30 day shred after years of phoning it in at the gym. Just stepped up to level 2. It’s so hard 😭😭

6W6P L1D6 done. Four more to go, then I can move up to L2, and if I also hate L2 I’m giving myself permission to ditch it and do something else. In any event I won’t keep 6W6P going beyond the end of September.

DD is back at school, which is brilliant but means there are more constraints on my weekdays.

Very impressed by how well everyone is doing on the exercise!

Well done for sticking with it Professor, it’s hard work when you aren’t a fan of a workout.

Couldn’t face Jillian’s cardio myself today so did a 5 mile Walk with Leslie instead. Fitbit tells me I burnt 524 calories 😊

6W6P L1D7 done. Hoping to do it again on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, then move on to L2 next week. Yesterday and tomorrow are bike days.

Well done on the crow push-ups @roonetta! They’re my nemesis, I can do two or three at a push before collapsing in a heap.

Once again I 'phoned it in' and didn't do Jillian's cardio but did another 5 mile "Walk with Leslie". I don't know what it is about Jillian's cardio but I don't have any motivation to do them Sad think it may be that there is a LOT of jumping around.

Oh Roonetta , as she actually says herself in one of them (maybe even a cardio!), we all have things we need to work on.
I wouldn't consider a 5 mile workout "phoning it in", you were working out not watching Netflix with cake!

There is a lot of jumping, but just skip it and do more walking and less jumping or just do the walking workout if that suits better. Remember, there's " no shame", you do what you gotta do". (OK, that's 2 JM quotes in one post, maybe time for me to diversify my fitness 😂)

Well, I just couldn't get the energy to get out of bed this morning so skipped WO 2. I also haven't lost so much as an ounce this week. On the plus side, I measured myself and I have lost 4 cms from my waist

Epic fail for me this week, did nothing yesterday and Thursday so I’ve only just done 6W6P L1D8. I’ll do it once more tomorrow and then switch to L2 next week.

On the positive side, the reason I didn’t do it on Thursday was that I was in the office, and on Friday I may have been a trifle hung over after an exceptionally lovely evening with three old friends, which was excellent for the mental health. I wouldn’t want to face Jillian with a hangover, it would be a question of when and not whether I threw up.

Well done on the loss, @TinyHouseFan! That’s impressive. I haven’t lost anything as far as I can tell, but my abs are looking more defined.

Good call on skipping JM due to a hangover Professor, that's my excuse for Saturday too!
I did make up Friday's workout 2 this morning so only missed one day really, not two.
Good for you for sticking with 6W6P. I haven't ever done it but you all make it sound awful.

Back on it tomorrow...

BR WO8 done yesterday and another 5 mile walk instead of cardio 2. It must be doing something as I have lost another 5lbs!!

No JM today either, my right hip is very sore. I had bursitis a few years ago and suspect it may have come back. No chance of seeing a GP in the present climate, so I’m going to rest it for a few days and see how it goes.

Ouch, Prof, can you talk to a video doc or a physio or something just in case they can advise over the phone? Maybe suggestions for some exercise that you can do?

BR WO3 done this morning.. It's tougher then I remembered.. Or maybe I'm getting weaker! I did do one full chin up yesterday though!! 🏋🏻‍♂️ No weight loss 'cos I had dinner with friends (& wine) on Friday night, a big brunch with my husband on Saturday and lunch in a pub on Sunday so I wasn't expecting any loss. Nice weekend though. Smile

Catching up with thread. Good news, my arm is a lot better - not ready to go back to JM workouts yet but pain nearly all gone so going to start sons gentle stretching and maybe a run next week.

Rest day Friday and WO8 done yesterday. Cardio 2 done today and that’s phase 2 done ✅.

Moving on to phase 3 tomorrow - gulp!

I took another few days off. Wedding anniversary dinner and drinks out but back into lockdown (Dublin) here again so an unsettled weekend.
BR WO3 done this morning.. Trying to figure out the motivation to do this every day for the rest of my life-- but currently failing that! Any good suggestions? How do you make yourself do it or want to do it?
