Back on 30 day shred after years of phoning it in at the gym. Just stepped up to level 2. It’s so hard 😭😭

It's hard to tell if I've seen a difference. I've been doing it roughly 3/4 times a week rather than everyday. Aswell as trying to go on a run.

I must be stronger and a bit more toned, but I can't say I'm ripped!

RI30 L4D2 done - still no DD, there was a pathetic wail that she was 'so tired'. Oof. I'm still aching from yesterday too.

I do find this one hilarious, she's always a bit demented but she's in full on crazy cackling supervillain mode here!

Yes @screamer1 I have it on DVD, but you can also get it on her App I think. Also "stronger and a bit more toned" is what we are aiming for so something is working Smile. I think it takes a long while to actually get ripped from her workouts though (well that's what I'm telling myself)

Did a run today rather than Jillian, back on it tomorrow. I did a full NMTZ only once after I finished 30DS - could not move for 3 days! It was a bit too long for my morning exercise slot so switched to Ri30

I know what you mean about NMTZ @CalmConfident - I love it but it is too long for a daily workout. I sometimes alternate with BFBM at weekends. I think I will try day 4 of the Take back Challenge 2020, it sounds right up my street Grin

BR ph1, wk2 WO3 done for the last time. I found I really struggled today. I think it was because I usually exercise around an hour after lunch, but today I did it before lunch. It must make a bigger difference to my energy levels than I thought.

BR ph1, wk2 WO4 done. I also felt I should do an extra workout because I should be doing the cardio for BR tomorrow but am going to Devon for a week so won't have time. Did Kickbox Fastfix level 1 instead as it is only 20 minutes. Co-ordination was awful but I worked up a sweat.

Well that's me for a week, might try and do some swimming and walking, but won't be doing any JM'ing. I hope I am still motivated when I get back!

I biked to work and back Thursday, then did nothing yesterday as it was too hot. I’m going to be away for a couple of days, so won’t do more than a bit of gentle yoga and walking, but aim to finish L4 in the second half of next week.

I’m back 😃. Got back yesterday late so no workout. Thought I would ease back into things today with L1 30DS but with heavier weights (3kg). Just goes to show you should never under estimate Jillian...she kicked my ass and I am feeling it now, especially after a week off. Even had the wobbly leg thing afterwards. Will try and do NMTZ tomorrow before starting BR phase 2 on Monday. Will see how hot it is before I decide 🥵

professor working out in the heat is really hard. My workout space is in our loft and it’s like a sauna up there.

roonetta I’ll join you doing NMTZ this morning. I tried the BFBM/NMTZ combo but my knees didn’t like BFBM so Im sticking with NMTZ and adding in some low impact cardio.

Phew NMTZ done. That was so hard today, not helped by the fact that I am REALLY aching from L1 of the Shred yesterday. Who knew one week would put me back so much 😟. Thanks @Todayisanewday75 - I probably would have wimped out and done something much easier if I hadn’t seen your post. This thread is awesome for motivation 😀. How did you get on? Which cardio do you do?

roonetta glad I inspired you, unfortunately I chickened out and did some boxing instead! Will definitely get back on it tomorrow.
I use www.teambodyproject.com, its not free but I signed up years ago and have lifetime membership. It’s usually my go to for workouts but Im trying to mix it up with JM dvds.

Thanks Today I looked up teambodyproject which looks really interesting. There is also a free option where you don't get all the workouts but can try it out which I will definitely look into.

Was going to re-do BR phase 1 WO 3 today as I developed a headache last night which sadly was still hanging around this morning. I decided to go for Phase 2 WO5 but use my lightest weights and I actually enjoyed it and found the headache has subsided a little. I thought holidays were supposed to relax and refresh you? I have felt worse since coming back than I did before I went Grin. Still i'm pleased I didn't "phone it in" and now I am going to go and have a "kick ass day" as suggested by Jillian.

Hi @CalmConfident - how are you finding the TakeBack Challenge? I saw a lot of people on JM Junkies Facebook page saying how they thought it was too easy, but more recently I have noticed they are cursing Jillian again so I assume the intensity has increased the further along you go.

BR phase 2 WO6 done. I am loving workouts 5 and 6 (apart from the fact she has sneaked bloody running man in there again). Not looking forward to phase 2 cardio tomorrow though.

The take back challenge has been fine...but at end of work out today there was an option to say “easy/perfect/hard” so it must adjust. I found the first couple too easy so went back to Ri30 but am now going to try and “double up” for the next week.

I am in awe of anyone who can double up on a Jillian workout @CalmConfident (and Oubliette). I am pretty sure I would die on the spot. Something for me to aspire to Smile

Phase 2 cardio today. Wow, that was a killer and I am now a bath of sweat. Hopefully will aid with pounds lost as my weight loss has stagnated for a good few weeks.
