Back on 30 day shred after years of phoning it in at the gym. Just stepped up to level 2. It’s so hard 😭😭

Oh Debbie, thanks for the warning! I thought I was getting fitter and stronger, maybe I've been a bit hasty!

It was my birthday today so I took a day off, had some cake and wine but back on it tomorrow and let's see what the day brings.. Wish me luck!

I did the level2 kettlebell workout two days ago. That is no joke. I was a mess after it.

Nmtz again this morning. I ate breakfast before hand which was a big mistake. I thought I might see it again during the planks Envy (about to puke, not envy!!!)

Still, I feel like I can do more and the first two circuits which previously had me gasping for breath and thinking I might die, well they’re not easy, but I can do them. I was having a bit of a wobble about my weight a few posts up. And then realised at the time I’d only been Jillianing for three weeks... I am such an impatient person I want results NOW!! I did 30DS a few years ago and got really fed up that I didn’t lose any weight or inches. If I’d just have kept going at that point I really would be ripped now!

Body Revolution, workout 5 and 6 done yesterday and today... Ouch! You weren't kidding Debbie about the jump in intensity and I only went up one week. I'm kinda dreading the whole 12 weeks now.

I’ve done Body Rev a couple of times and got fed up both times! It’s too long, and I don’t like the format with so many athletes. I sold the DVDs on Ebay in the end. I also stupidly bought Bodyshred, and gave up after the first two workouts: it’s insanely hard.

I’ve had a lazy weekend with only some yoga with Adriene. Biking into work tomorrow (an hour each way) so I feel justified in postponing Ripped L2 till Tuesday.

I've had 2 weeks off and really need to get back into it. Stupid tooth is still not sorted and then a variety of other expensive and annoying things occurred (like I really wanted to a buy a new car during a bloody pandemic!) has seen me searching for the bottom of the wine bottle every night. Gah!

But plan is to start doing R130 at some point this week. At some point...

Decided to switch up to L2....ouch! Lots of figuring things out and the pendulum lunges never flow well. Ab table thingy - impossible!

I forgot to post this morning: RI30 L2D1 done . I more or less managed the plank cardio circuit, who is a first for me. DD failed miserably, she struggles with planks.

Ri30 today. Can’t remember if it’s day 3 or 4 though! Sorry to hear about plank cardio in L2 - I really struggle with planks as I broke my big toe a few years ago and anything on my toes like that is really painful

Yeah, L2 has squat thrusts and mountain climbers and plank jacks. And crow push-ups for good measure. Skip it and move straight to L3 would be my advice!

DD didn’t get up in time this morning (don’t blame her, I didn’t want to either). Rather than carry on with RI30 solo, I did two of the 10 minute Body Transformations workouts - HIIT/plyo and hard core. The hard core one was well named, my abs are going to be aching tomorrow!

I dug out Lift and Shred last night and did level 1, mainly with 5kg dumbbells, swapped them for an 8kg kettlebell for a couple of moves (no point doing a kettlebell swing with a dumbbell if you have a kettlebell to hand).

RI30 L2D2 done here. I cycled to work and back yesterday, which I think counted as the day's exercise. But I've only done L2 twice and now will have to do it a few more times next week, groan.

Jillian michaels body revolution workout 6 done this morning, moving on the workouts 7 and 8 from this week now.

I'm really enjoying feeling stronger, while I definitely still have a long way to go to being actually "strong", I am seeing the start of some biceps and triceps. Not quite Michelle Obama arms but some small progress.

My diet has slipped a bit. A soon as I could leave the house, I seemed to run straight to cake shops! Still, I've had a word with myself and I'm back on the plan again.

Hope everyone else is doing well..
