Back on 30 day shred after years of phoning it in at the gym. Just stepped up to level 2. It’s so hard 😭😭

Did D2 of BFBM today. Skipped the warm up and launched straight into Circuit 1 as I think that's easy going enough for a warm up. Still felt bloody long though. This time managed it through to the end but was definitely phoning it in a bit on the last circuit. Not great to have more jumpy moves after the evil that is C6 but I've never been more happy to see jump rope in all my life!

Tomorrow it's NMTZ and I've just scared myself by watching it online as I've never done it before. My shoulders were aching just watching it. Pray for me...

NMTZ done! I actually really enjoyed it which tells me that cardio is clearly my nemesis! Mind you, I did the whole thing with only 1kg weights so hardly pushing myself (though the C1 shoulder work got almost challenging towards the end) but I did want to be able to use my arms today so I went light on purpose. I'll up the ante next time.

I definitely got sweaty but I could actually function unlike by the end of BFBM. So, day off tomorrow then 2 days of BFBM and 1 day of NMTZ.

Go calm nearly there! Then the delights of L3 (I freaking hate the plie hops)

NMTZ done - mainly 3 kg. 2kg for
shoulders. I was a sweaty mess but feel great now. Cardio tires me out whereas strength energises me.

Maybe I need to do BFBM tomorrow.

Having not done JM for years (do other stuff now) I still she is the best for getting results

Going to do L3D5 today, only did 4 days last week so going to do 6 this week so that I can start 6W6P next Monday as planned

Feeling it in my quads and lower back today - all those squats and damn supermans in NMTZ. Looking forward to doing it again with heavier weights - 2kg and 3kg on Thursday. I have managed to order some 4kg and 5kg handweights too which will be useful for the bicep work and dead lifts.

Rest day today then Tues and Wed will be BF BM which I'm already not looking forward to. Might add some light handweights to the boxing moves though as find those quite easy.

Todayisanewday75 have you done 6W6P before? I got to the point where I quite enjoyed L1 but I really just had to suffer through L2. That said, I found the T Stand Kicks from L2 easier than the similar L1 move (cant remember the name) Side Plank with Leg Raise? I think the L2 is easier as its dynamic and you're switching arms rather than staying on one arm the whole time (feeble shoulders and wrists here!). So when I do 6W6P L1 again I'll probably sub that move

I bought the dvd years ago but gave up half way through L1D1! I’m much stronger now so hoping I’ll find it easier this time, am certainly finding the shred a lot easier than two years ago.

Good luck. Tell us how you get on. I'm not sure I'll be in a hurry to repeat it as a full programme having done the whole thing once, but definitely see myself adding the odd level in here and there once I've finished my current 6 week programme

Is Lift and Shred the one with kettlebells? How do you find it?

I've just done BFBM all circuits but using C1 as the warm up. Drinking rose in the sun in the garden all afternoon yesterday seemed like such a good idea at the time! Urgh. It was tough but managed to do all circuits without a pause break between the last 2 circuits. But dear God Jillian, standing mountain climbers in C6 directly followed by squat jumps in C7?? What were you thinking???

Hi Gerald, I think the one with kettlebells is Shred It With Weights, which I don't have. Lift & Shred uses dumbbells in varying weights. I think it's quite good but I'm now bored with L1!

Fallen off the wagon, been doing 15 minutes of Maggie Binkley but I don't think it's enough, although once back at work and out from 8am-7pm it'll be ideal. But in lockdown I should do more!

So have just ordered a 4 dvd box set of Jillian which consists of 30DS, NMTZ, BFBM and 6W6P, all for £15. Comes tomorrow. So what should I do on a weekly basis? I've obviously done 30DS but how should I mix up the others?

Thanks yesbutno. I did 6W6P after shred and am now alternating BMBF and NMTZ. I don't think you can go wrong no matter what you choose. In Jillian we trust!

Thanks I'll just do a mixture then...I'm useless at stomach exercises so might avoid 6W6P (and my tummy is actually ok) so might alternate the other 2. Feeling quite excited for it to arrive tomorrow saddoGrin

calmconfident how did you get on with level 3? I actually prefer it to level 2. Today will be day 8 and I’m looking forward to moving on to something different next week
