Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

Yes not great about the schools Roonetta. We'll see how it goes.

5km Fartlek run today plus strength for abs.

Days exercised 248

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 15/11/2020 14:22

Rest day yesterday. I went for my hill run this morning but had to walk a good bit, it was so mucky and slippery with fallen leaves. Then I had 15 mins in the sea afterwards. I've a hot water bottle strapped to me for the rest of the day now Blush. I do have swim shoes, roonetta but they are more for the stones than thermal efficiency. I know if I start to invest in proper kit, it will all seem too cumbersome and complicated to actually go, so I'll end up ditching it. My brain doesn't always work the way I want it to...

Sorry to hear about the schools closing Sophie. Is there online provision? I'm not sure we'd survive without school right now. The plan here is to start opening up from 1 Dec and to be at level 2 (1 is lowest, 5 is where we are now) by Christmas week so families can gather. No idea what will actually happen...

Days exercised 233.

roonetta · 15/11/2020 14:33

I know what you mean about doing extra things before you exercise putting you off Motherforkin. I always get dressed into my workout clothes first thing as I know if I have to change, it is something extra before working out and I could easily find the excuse not to do it. Well done on persuading your brain and body to even get into the sea in the first place!

30DS L3 (D15) half way Smile

OublietteBravo · 15/11/2020 19:21

I finally made myself exercise after taking two rest days: BFBM (50 min)

Yes MotherForkin the DCs are all online. The eldest have been at home for a week already. They follow their school day online. The youngest is at home since yesterday and they've changed the system a bit for lower school since the last lock down. They also follow the school day and so are online more. Last time they would
Meet with teacher online in small groups and then be given work to do independently so required constant supervision. Experience yesterday was that this new system is a lot better.

Hope things start to open up in Ireland soon. How is your shoulder now?
And Roonetta, how is your injury?

Today: Killer buns and thighs L2 plus some abs/core work - my new long resistance band just arrived and I wanted to try it out.

Days exercised 249

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 17/11/2020 12:54

It's good they have the schools well covered Sophie. There has been a lot in the media yesterday and today about people congregating and drinking on the streets, especially in Dublin. Talk of clamping down but not much action to be seen.

I had a rest day yesterday (seems to becoming a habit ok Mondays Hmm) so I started with an early bracing swim and my leg and core day with PT. I'm debating running to collect the children later but realistically I'll probably walk...

Days exercised 234.

roonetta · 17/11/2020 13:35

Thanks Sophie my injury is completely gone now. I am not sure what it was but glad it healed quickly Smile

Mondays sound like a great day to take as a rest day Motherforkin - you certainly make up for it the rest of the time!

30DS L2 (D16) done - no matter how many times I do L2, it still kills me Confused

OublietteBravo · 17/11/2020 19:54

Glad to hear you’re injury is a thing of the past @roonetta.

I’m managing to make myself keep going with Ri30. I’ve just done Ri30 L3D4 and KAbs L1 (60 min)

Happy to hear you're better now Roonetta.

Did you run to get the children in the end MotherForkin?

Just done a 5km fartlek run plus some strength for abs and arms combined (like the 2 in 1 - saves time!)

Days exercised 250
(Oooo didn't realise I had got to 250!
That's nice!)

Ps think you might have to start a new thread soon oubliette. This one looks like it might reach 1000 soon!

roonetta · 18/11/2020 13:31

Wahooo Sophie! 250 days of exercise; well done on smashing your target! StarStar

30DS L3 (day 17) done along with a fast mile "walk with Leslie".

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 18/11/2020 18:54

Eh, no, I didn't Sophie! Blush in my defense, I realised as I left the house that i hadn't eaten all day so I walked instead. Excellent work on getting to 250!

Glad your ribs are better roonetta

Run today though. It was very windy in parts but I enjoyed it more than I have for a while.

Days exercised 235.

OublietteBravo · 18/11/2020 19:51

Im incredibly impressed with 250 days of exercise @SophieLion Star

Ri30 L3D4 and KAbs L2 (65 min). Ooof - that’s a tough combination!

(219/31; 219h 20min)

Thanks for the reminder that the thread is neatly full - I can’t remember that happening before. I’ll start another one before the weekend.

Thank you all Smile

A one hour vinyasa yoga flow with Cat Meffan today.

Days exercised 251

roonetta · 19/11/2020 14:10

30DS L1 (D18) done along with a fast 2 miles with Leslie. I realised today that I have lost 19lbs since May with the help of Jillian, Leslie and all you lovely ladies - thank you so much, I really don't think I would have kept it up without you all motivating me along the way. Long may it continue Grin

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 19/11/2020 18:41

That's great, well done roonetta! I have 1.5 stone I'd love to lose but apparently no amount of exercise will do it for me Confused.

Weights circuits today.

Days exercised 236.

SophieLion · 20/11/2020 12:36

Wow! That's 8kg+ Roonetta! (Just checked on my converter) Congratulations!!! That's great!! Are you also being careful with what you eat? Someone told me once that weight loss is 90% (?) food and 10% exercise (or similar proportions). I've no idea if that's true or not...

Was feeling down (lock down I think) and not very motivated today so decided to enjoy my coffee and then cook lunch first thing instead of exercising. Big mistake. When I finally
Decided to exercise, I was I interrupted about 100 times and it took forever.... Angry will not do that again.

Anyway managed a 35 minute lower body strength session with my new long resistance bands and a 10 mins abs session. I actually felt a muscle on the side of my butt that I'd not felt before!

Days exercised 252

SophieLion · 21/11/2020 10:01

My knee feels a bit sore so kept it low key today. 30 mins of a strong and stretchy yoga flow plus strength for abs and arms.

Days exercised 253

OublietteBravo · 21/11/2020 12:59
