OublietteBravo · 01/01/2020 16:31

Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

Four weeks from midnight tonight, roonetta. Gyms are still open for solo training so I should be able to go to my PT's studio. I'm not supposed to visit my mum though.

I'm sorry to hear that MotherForkin. I hope you manage to keep the exercise up as it's so important for our mental Health. I just hope that the situation will start to improve at some point.

I wanted to come to London at the end of this month for half term as I've not seen my family for ages but due to stricter measures there, I can't go. I'm sad....

7km Run plus strength for abs and butt.

224 days

roonetta · 16/10/2020 11:56

Sorry you won't get over to see your family Sophie - it's been a really rubbish year and I for one can't wait to see the back of 2020.

WO11 done for the last time today. That is one tough workout and I found it a struggle today.

OublietteBravo · 16/10/2020 19:42

I’m definitely with you on wanting to see the back of 2020 and all the shitty restrictions.

I was tempted to take a rest day, but I didn’t. I found some motivation and did NMTZ (50 min)

WO12 done for the last time. One more cardio to go and I’m done with BR. Was going to start Body Shred next week but my knees are not liking all the plyo moves at the moment and I think they need a break from it. I might have a look at Lift and Shred as I think it might be easier on my knees.

SophieLion · 18/10/2020 10:57

Had a rest day yesterday (which was not ready at all to be honest!)

Today 45 mins strength/toning for abs, butt and arms. I just ordered the lilly sabri extra long resistance band so looking forward to using it with abs exercises (will probably take about a month go get here though with the post!!!)

Days exercised 225

roonetta · 18/10/2020 11:57

Well for my last day of BR I didn’t finish with Jillian’s cardio (no surprise there) but found a workout on YouTube I liked the look of which was Sweaty Betty cardio workout by Simone. It was fast and fun and also had arms, butt and abs sections too. My butt was burning by the end of the glutes section 🥵

So next week I will be doing level 1 and 2 of lift and shred and a cardio day and repeat. Looking forward to it, just hope I can be disciplined enough to make myself do it.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 18/10/2020 14:08

I've had a couple of days off, feeling sorry for myself under a duvet on the couch. I feel a bit better for them. I had a very bracing sea swim today to get me back on track.

Sorry to hear you have to hold off seeing family, Sophie. It's really shit.

Days exercised 213.

SophieLion · 19/10/2020 07:41

Yes I've been feeling very down. Exercise helps but not much actually.

5km interval run plus strength for abs and arms/back.

Days exercised 226

roonetta · 19/10/2020 12:30

Sorry to hear you are both feeling low at the moment @SophieLion and @MotherForkinShirtBalls Flowers. Exercise can only do so much, and an end in sight to this bloody pandemic would do us all the world of good. I hope you start to feel brighter soon.

Level 1 of Lift & Shred done. I liked it but didn't get out of breath or sweaty so feel like I have phoned it in after Body Revolution. Will keep at it this week and see how I feel. Will be good for my knee though.

SophieLion · 19/10/2020 14:07

Thank you Roonetta Thanks

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 19/10/2020 16:28

Thanks roonetta Brew

A status yellow weather warning has just landed, it looks like we're moving back to almost full lockdown for six weeks and ds has unleashed the fury that is his hot wheels booster thingamajig. I'm heading out for a blustery run now, in the hope of staving off a plan to go to bed with a bottle of gin, all the crisps and not get up until Christmas...

Days exercised 214.

OublietteBravo · 19/10/2020 19:17

Solidarity with everyone finding things tough at the moment. I’m certainly finding life more challenging than usual.

I took the weekend off. Ri30 L1D5 and 6W6P L1 this evening (65 min). One more day to go to hit 200 days/200 hours.

Sorry to hear this MotherForkin and hope you felt better after your run.

Thank you oubliette. Seems we're all struggling.

I did HIIT today: killer buns and thighs L2 plus strength for abs and arms.

Days exercised 227

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 20/10/2020 15:38

Hope everyone is feeling a bit better today. I'm glad to have a little network here. Thank you all Flowers My run helped last night and I got a last weights session in this morning before moving to home gym and zoom with my pt. (Now I just need to unearth the playroom where we dumped everything over the last couple of months!) We're back into lockdown from midnight tomorrow night.

OublietteBravo · 20/10/2020 19:57

Ri30 L1D6 and 6W6P L2 (65 min). But more importantly 200 days (and 200 hours).

Well done Oubliette! 🏅

roonetta · 21/10/2020 13:48

Woohooo Oubliette well done!!

Sending positive thoughts to everyone and noting how bloody awesome we are that no matter what gets in our way, we carry on regardless - well done ladies Grin

roonetta · 21/10/2020 13:49

Oops forgot to mention I did level 2 of Lift and Shred today and a 2 mile boosted walk with Leslie (also did a 4 mile boosted walk with Leslie yesterday Smile)

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 21/10/2020 16:05

Indeed we are, roonetta Smile

I got out for a cycle earlier and I dragged the kids down with me so I could get a swim in the sea after pick up. I realised the car park I use is about 200m outside my 5km limit but my sea swim is going to be my act of civil disobedience for the next 6 weeks.

Days exercised 216.

OublietteBravo · 21/10/2020 19:39

I definitely know what you mean about carrying on regardless @roonetta. That’s certainly what I’m doing.

Ri30L1D7 and KAbs L1 (65 min)

(201/49; 201h 25min)

OP posts:
SophieLion · 22/10/2020 07:35

Congratulations on 200 days Oubliette! 🥳

Did killer buns and thighs L3 today plus strength for abs, triceps and back. I thought L3 was quite a bit easier than L2 (and I used ankle weights and a resistance band for some exercises for L3 today and had used nothing for L2 and still found L3 easier Halloween Confused)

Good luck for the lockdown MotherForkin. I have some friends in Ireland. Must message them and see you are they.

Thank you for the positive thoughts Roonetta - same to you all! Thanks

Weights today. I've set myself up a mini gym for my zoom classes and it worked better than I expected with various adhoc pieces of "equipment". I've ordered a trx kit which I hope will get here next week.

Hope your friends here are doing ok Sophie.
