Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

I was at the physio yesterday so shoulder was feeling much improved today and I did my hill run...slowly. I did an hour's walk each of the two days before so as not to jar it too much. Might even be back swimming next month 🤞

RJ, I think I was on one of these threads with you too! Are you still weight lifting? (Hopefully I'm not mixing you up with someone else!)

Days exercised 6

Well I have worked my way up to doing consecutive Jillian DVDs over 3 or 4 years - it’s not like I just dived in to give it a go. I went to parents evening, got absolutely soaked on the way home and still did NMTZ (50 min). So I’m pretty pleased with myself this evening.

You are officially hard core, Oubliette, if I got soaked I'd be straight into my PJs! 💪💪

RJnomore1 · 09/01/2020 22:09

Hello! Yes it’s me with the weights!

I’ve had a bit of a break so trying to get bsvk into it. I did a class today and I’m going to struggle to move tomorrow 😂

Still walking my mile too

Glad shoulder is improving MotherForkin.

Oubliette- yes I appreciate you have built up to it. I'm just so happy when finished one JM DVD that wouldn't contemplate doing another straight after Grin*

5km interval training plus day 16 of glutes challenge. Next two days will be rest days as travelling.

OublietteBravo · 10/01/2020 21:15

I’ve struggled to raise my arms above my head today 😂

OublietteBravo · 11/01/2020 09:53

I got exercising out of the way first thing today. BFBM (50 min). I’m planning on having a rest day tomorrow.

I got going early too, 30 minutes hiit on an app I found. I was wrecked after it!

Days exercised: 8

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 12/01/2020 18:18

6km tramp through woods and hills with the DC earlier. One part was 124 steps up in a row. I felt every on from about 28 Shock

Days exercised 9

SophieLion · 13/01/2020 07:52

JM's Hard Body L1. It was hardcore. I feel wrecked! Plus day 17 of the 100 glutes challenge.

It seems to me that no matter how much exercise I do, I always find it hard!!

Days exercised: 10

OublietteBravo · 13/01/2020 20:35

Ri30 L1D6 & 6W6P L2 (65 min)

@SophieLion - I don’t think I’ve ever tried Hard Body (although it appears that I do have it as part of a set). Perhaps I should add it in for some variety. Or perhaps not given your comments on it Grin

Days 9, 10 and 11 of Adriene Home yoga challenge plus day 18 of the glutes challenge.

Oubliette. -I like Hard Body although not all the reviews are great - mainly complaints re the music and the DJ. I like the rapport JM has with the exercising girls and the exercises are all varied so I don't get bored. The format is that same as 6W6P ie all circuits (6 I think) once and then repeat them all. The moves are mainly combo ones: so push up, row and then 4 mountain climbers together or sit up, roll over onto tummy and then superman and roll back.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 14/01/2020 19:23

I was feeling awful yesterday so had a rest day..I did a 30 minute core thing today.

Days exercised: 10

OublietteBravo · 14/01/2020 19:47

Maybe I’ll have a look at Hard Body. Not just yet though - I’ll leave it for a bit of variety when I get bored.

I’m feeling tired and a bit achy. But I ploughed on and I’ve just done 30DS L2D1 & KB&T L1D2 (65 min)

(12/238; 12h 00min)

Sorry you're both feeling under the weather MotherForkin and Oubliette. Flowers

Today was a 5km interval run, Days 13 of Adriene Home yoga challenge plus day 19 of the glutes challenge.

Days exercised: 12

OublietteBravo · 15/01/2020 20:10

I’m definitely feeling better today. Ri30 L1D7 & 6W6P L1 (65 min)

(13/237; 13h 05min)

OP posts:
SophieLion · 16/01/2020 07:06

6W6P L2 and day 20 of the glutes challenge.

6W6P L2 was hardcore. I used a heavier weight on the repetition circuits instead of going faster (although I tried!!). Those ab moguls are evil! How you manage to do that workout plus another JM DVD, I don't know Oubliette!! 👏🏻*

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 16/01/2020 14:09

My feeling iffy was a migraine starting so I was in bed instead of exercising yesterday. I did a 30 minute hiit today.

Days exercised: 11.

OublietteBravo · 16/01/2020 20:02

You get used to the moguls after a while. But I still find L2 of 6W6P to be as much cardio as abs (if that makes sense).

I’ve just done 30DS L3D1 & KB&T L1D3 (65 min)

(14/236; 14h 10min)

Hi everyone,
Has anyone tried an online personal trainer? I'm look at going with Amy Elisabeth (amyelisabeth.co.uk), it feels like a lot of money but then you get the support of a face to face personal trainer then its way cheaper. She specialises in people who don't like going to the gym which is definitely me Grin

SophieLion · 17/01/2020 07:52

5km interval run plus day 21 of glutes challenge and day 8 of the Adriene yoga. Was a great stretch after the run.

Hi Lily, no I've never tried an online personal trainer. Hope it works out for you!

Days exercised: 14

Lily1234567 · 17/01/2020 08:33

I took the plunge and have just signed up! Have just done the first work out, so far so good! I'll be receiving the personalised plan in a couple of days :D

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 17/01/2020 08:48

Hill run this morning. I've been doing it a couple of times a week for months and it's still not getting easier!

Sophie, what glutes challenge are you doing? I look at them every now and then but I get completely confused by the choice and hide my head in the sand again!
