Happy new year all!

It’s January 1 and that means another 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene :)

Here she is. I’ll definitely not manage the full 30 days but who’s in?

Skipped Day 1 - too long and slow, and had a very long day back at work yesterday, but just did day 2 with DS12 (was supposed to be with DD14 as well, but she teened out on me). DS12 enjoyed it, but struggled with some of the planks. A bit slow for me, but a lovely way to start the day 😀🙏

Day 2 done. I struggled quite a bit in parts but feels good to have done it. My downward dogs aren't too bad but can never get the three legged dog done that well.

Just done days 1 and 2.

I usually do a more dynamic, faster- paced yoga practice but I really enjoyed this. Think Adrienne explains things very well to help get your body in the right position. I also like how she started building on day 1 moves in the day 2 practice. Looking forward to the rest of the 30 days!

Just completed day 2. I'm finding the planks and dogs really hard on my wrists, anyone got any advice? Other than 'lose a few stone fatty!'

Hi ArtisanPopcorn, I think at one point Adriene said to try and grip the mat move with your fingers (tips?) to take the pressure off the wrists. Perhaps try that?

Thanks! Does anyone know if there's any similar 30 day challenges for Pilates? Would like to try something like that for February.

Your wrists will adjust, but in the meantime, try and claw into the mat, and if you need to stretch out your wrists, , you can always go up on your fists rather than flat palms.

Day 2 done. I got cramp quite a bit Blush definitely haven't drunk enough today though!

ArtisanPopcorn - Blogilates.com is a pilates site with various challenges. Not really the same format as the yoga one though as they focus on one body part usually.

Day 2 done and I mostly enjoyed that one. Day 1 I found too long and I'm out of shape but day 2 made me relax after work

Did Day 1 last night and enjoyed it but agree it was a little slow.

I'm pregnant with sore hips so my REDJanuary is a 30 min dog walk where I can or a yoga video. I definitley notice a difference in how much better my shoulders feel today. I think the neck stretches right at the start were just what I needed.

Day 3 in the bag and I enjoyed this session. There was a few lunges that I didn't quite flow into and my left leg is much less flexible than my right. Hoping to see progress there by the end of the month. I have that pleasant pain where I can feel my abs ache from yesterday's stretches.

I can't go from downward dog to a lunge. My legs just don't move like that. I also can't go from plank to forward fold. But I do what I can Grin

I enjoyed day one and two and looking forward to day three! I'm really hoping I can do the full thirty. I am struggling with my wrist as I had fractured it a few years back and it has never been quite the same... so I'm hoping that gets easier as it gets stronger. I love how relaxed I feel at the end. Smile

I am a complete newbie to yoga. Found yesterday manageable but realised I have no arm strength and no flexibility. Today was too fast for me. By the time I figured out what she had done she was on to the next so the breathing was a bit wrong. Also really sound the stuff like plank, downward dog etc hard on my arms and wrists. Hopefully by day 30 i will be stronger so it will be easier. Doesnt help that the kids are fighting and constantly interrupting!

Day 3 done, it's still a little slow for me, and I'm sometimes moving through familiar flows a little bit faster than she is, but I think that's ok. I remember this now from previous years, I'm waiting for my heart rate to elevate and a sweat to break out and it never really happens. But that's ok, it's just nice to show up 😀.

PS after my YouTube video today, there was a lovely follow up video from the Today show (US) that had Adrienne on, was very sweet.
