Happy new year all!

It’s January 1 and that means another 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene :)

Here she is. I’ll definitely not manage the full 30 days but who’s in?

Thanks for heads up (or down Smile) I’m in.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 01/01/2020 13:27

The main vids start tomorrow; today’s one is just a six minute intro, here

For anyone who wants to know what to expect, canter through her videos marked “dedicate” (#ywadedicate).

That’s last year’s 30 days. I think there was one the year before too.

again, she’s great but some of the poses last year were mental hard and I was pregnant at the time so couldn’t and wouldn’t do some.

In the intro for this lot she even suggests spreading the program throughout the year which works out to one video every ten days; I thought that was a smart touch of her x

I'm in! I have followed a couple of her videos before and I love her!

eurochick · 01/01/2020 14:37

I did Dedicate last year and kept up a close to daily yoga practice until late October when I went on holiday and lost the habit. I'm not sure if I'll start tomorrow though as I'm just getting over flu followed by bronchitis and I think a downward dog might make me cough up a lung...

UptightFunk · 01/01/2020 14:45

Seeing this has reminded me I said I'd do this. Totally forgot. That's a great start isn't it?? Thanks for the reminder!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 01/01/2020 14:46

I'm in. I love her videos and I've got a fair few running events booked in this year. I like the fact that I can use it as both flexibility and strength training.

How long will each video be do you think? That's my only worry, time can get pretty tight.

mynameiscalypso · 01/01/2020 14:52

I'm in! Have done it for the last 3 or 4 years. I was another who was pregnant last year so couldn't do everything but looking forward to getting stuck in. That said, I'm still only a few months post c section so will probably have to make some modifications (particularly Day 6!!)

EnglishRain · 01/01/2020 14:57

Ooh I fancy this! Also glad it doesn't really start until tomorrow...

CountFosco · 01/01/2020 15:10

The videos are usually 30 mins but some are a bit longer or a bit shorter, think her website has a list of the timings usually. She's done 30 days for a few years as follows:
2019 Dedicate
2018 True
2017 Revolution
2016 Yoga Camp
2015 30 Days

OhYouBadBadKitten · 01/01/2020 15:27

Thanks Count. Could be a bit of a squeeze, but if I do it instead of mning it might be doable Wink

OLittleTownofBethlehem · 01/01/2020 15:42

I’m in! I signed up last year but didn’t do very many. Hopefully this year I can make it a habit Smile

Bloomburger · 01/01/2020 16:01

Do you get an email each day with video attached?

carrie74 · 01/01/2020 18:37

I'm in, I've done them all, so definitely ready for this year's, I usually do a weekly class, and I found YWA really helped improve the depth of some of my poses, so I look forward to more bendiness 😁.

I'm also trying to run a bit more, plus I got a lovely new bike for Xmas, so hoping to try that out a bit, especially as the days lengthen (and hopefully dry up a bit 🙄).

But struggling to get off the sofa at the moment 😁...

coffeecow · 01/01/2020 18:56

Hi everyone. I'm in as usual. This is my fourth year doing it. I was so chuffed to do every day of it last January but then almost completely dropped off the wagon.

To the person above, if you sign up to her emails you will get an email each day with a link to the video.

SallyLovesCheese · 01/01/2020 19:11

@OhYouBadBadKitten - if you sign up you get a calendar with the runtime for each day.

I just signed up! First year doing it, but love the sound of it. I'm determined to get healthier this year, after having a baby at the end of 2018 and basically spending last year eating and being lazy (oops)!

Snaleandthewhail · 01/01/2020 19:22

Hadn’t realised day 0 was the start, so I’ve just done twenty minutes of an old upper back one of hers before one of the children woke up and demanded my attention. Wondering if I can do it in their room as they get to sleep...

NotJustACigar · 02/01/2020 07:19

I'm in too but will start with day 1 on Saturday when I have a bit more time as the first video is quite long. Got the email this morning!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/01/2020 09:03

I hadn't realised I could sign up. Thanks :)

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 02/01/2020 09:16

Not back in work til Monday so I've just done day 2 which is about 45 minutes long. Quite slow, but she did say it gets quicker later. A lot of "connecting with your thoughts" which I found a bit distracting but definitely feel a bit taller and looser so that's a good thing.
Namaste😊

Crocky · 02/01/2020 09:28

I’m in. I’m doing Red January to kickstart running again so will do this as well. Did it last year and loved it.

mynameiscalypso · 02/01/2020 09:29

I've managed half of Day 1 before a baby started demanding my attention. I did manage to turn downward dog into a game of peekaboo though which kept him entertained for a while. Definitely a slow start but I'm enjoying it more than I normally enjoy Day 1; I clearly need this reminder of the basics and to slow down a bit.

frazzledasarock · 02/01/2020 09:34

I’m in. Had baby last year.... still look pregnant and I need to do something about that.

WreckTangled · 02/01/2020 09:41

Checking in. Did this last year and loved it, I don't usually do yoga but I saw so much improvement in the 30 days. Am going to do day one later this morning after doing some weights.

WreckTangled · 02/01/2020 09:44

Oh and last year there were lots of poses I couldn't do but I just did my best/adapted them/tried not to fall over and it did get easier Grin

ZenNudist · 02/01/2020 09:48

I like this idea.
