Happy new year all!

It’s January 1 and that means another 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene :)

Here she is. I’ll definitely not manage the full 30 days but who’s in?

Not too keen on Day 17 tbh. I find it hard to sit up straight and my back has a nagging ache after a short while. I guess that the point of these practices though. I like a relaxing one every now and again but prefer the ones where you move more.

Just did today's. It was quite slow and I found the first half a bit slow and boring. It was ok though.

I found that was ready to breathe out before I was supposed to. I obviously don't have great lung capacity!

I missed a few days last week so did 13 and 14 yesterday and will do 15 and 16 tonight then hopefully 2 tomorrow to catch up. Have had a cold and working 12 hour days so not been wanting to do it but do definitely feel better when I do.

Day 18 done. I can only do three legged dog one side because my left leg is so weak. Was good though.

Day 18 done but felt much harder today. Probably cos I’m knackered and done a fair amount of walking today.

Given that days 16 and 17 were done in the tiniest space on a premier inn floor I'm glad to be home for 18. That arabesque though... clearly need to work on balance. Thankfully ds's massive nose bleed was at the start rather than midway...

How bad are days 18 and 19? I was aiming to do two to get caught up tonight but just seen they are proper half hour ones (was hoping one would be the short just lie down in a blanket style one as not feeling it today). Not sure I want to do 2 now but I know I will miss a couple of days this week as am busy.

I did day 16 as it was shorter and more gentle.

I did say 18 today. It has a gentle start and a few balances, and similar moves building on the previous. I felt very tired and stiff doing it though - not sure if that’s because I did it early afternoon, when I normally do it in the evening. I’d planned to do 19 as well but decided to do that tomorrow!

Well I gave up half way through 18 today. Just wasnt feeling it and have a cough so kept coughing when lunging or in downward dog. Am annoyed at myself (but not annoyed enough to finish :-))

19 was... er... interesting.

The crow thing is never going to happen. My ankles feel quite different tonight too.

Quite a bit of planking and press ups as well.

Done Day 19 pre-Brownies drop off. Intending on doing Day 20 post-Brownies and before bed if it's relaxing. Smile

I think Adriene’s crow is harder than it needs to be. The teachers whose classes I attend don’t encourage you to put your knees as high up your triceps, she says up to your armpits, we normally have them about midway down the upper arm.
